So, I was skipping school today and I thought, "What the hell, I'll play some Shoddy." I'd been messing around with a new team, and I've been really liking the results. This was a particularly fun battle I had today.
And now, the starting line up...
Leading off for the Ninja squad, with her buff exterior look she is able to Intimidate all foes into becoming weaklings. Her Draco Meteor is the strongest of all the Pokemon this side of the Ubers. However, she is a Modest soul, and is getting embarrassed by all this praise. So without further ado, I introduce to you...
Leann the Salamence! She's named after my mom! LOL.
Next up, the craze that is literally sweeping the Pokemon community! He's big, he's bad, and almost every team is severely weak to him...it's...
Mamoswine! I forgot to give him a nickname for this battle.
He's small, he's spooky, and he's really, really mean. Weighing in at less than a pound, and blessed with Zen-like serenity, here comes...
WildWill the Mismagius! Lol, if you're on Pojo you should get the name.
Coming up next is a brawler that puts Solid Snake to shame. With his mystical Power of Aura, the ability to move at high speed, and closed quarters fighting skill, this dude can rip things apart. I give to you...
Kyle the Lucario!
She's cute, she's cuddly, and she's vicious. Taking the place of Heatran as a Fire absorber, this Pokemon was placed on my team in honor of the new puppy my family got on Thursday. Make way for...
Bella the Houndoom!
Finally, she's fat, she's ugly, but I'll be damned if she isn't strong. She's the schoolyard bully come back to haunt you, Taunting and Sucker Punching all the poor little kids until they go crying home to mommy. Unfortunately, all that time spent bullying means she's neglecting her skin, which is so dried and chapped that any amount of water is a blessing for it. Be careful, because she burns easily too. Here comes...
Brenda the Toxicroak!

Hmm...a Gengar...since I don't have a Sleep absorber, I'll leave Salamence in to take the sleep, see what happens, and go from there.

Weavile is exerting its pressure!
Salamence used Draco Meteor.
Weavile lost 100% of its health.
Weavile hung on using its Focus Sash!
Salamence's special attack was harshly lowered.
Weavile, eh? Focus Sash doesn't do me any favors, but it doesn't hurt much. Anyone with a brain can probably tell that the Weavile's next attack is going to be an Ice one. Since my Lucario is of the Extremespeed variety. and resists Ice (and Dark, should Weavile try to use the other STAB expecting a switch to something), I figure he's the best switch.

Vaporeon restored 6% of its health.
Unfortunately, I'm locked into Flamethrower by Choice Specs. I have no choice but to switch out. Expecting another Ice Beam, Lucario again looks like a good switch to use. He can probably do a lot of damage with LOed Close Combat.

Ack!! That failed, and now the surprise, if it even existed in the first place, is gone. I have a sneaking suspicion that this thing is going to try to set up on me. If I'm right, I could get a free turn to try something. If I'm wrong, I could face a devastating Earthquake. Well, nothing ventured nothing gained.
6 - 5
Toxicroak used Taunt.
Forretress fell for the taunt!
Forretress used Spikes.
Forretress can't use Spikes after the taunt!
Yay! ^_^ That's one less layer of Spikes that my team has to worry about. Hopefully this thing switches out in fear of something, and doesn't Earthquake me. My Toxicroak (Brenda) is a SubPuncher, so any opportunity to set up a Substitute is awesome.

Damn it, it does know Earthquake. Brenda can't stay in, because Sucker Punch will do shit damage and I can't Focus Punch it. My opponent has ben fairly predictable so far, so I switch to my Flyer.
6 - 5
Jiggy-Ninja switched in Leann (lvl 100 Salamence ?).
Salamence's intimidate cut Forretress's attack!
Forretress used Earthquake.

Salamence used Hidden Power.
Vaporeon lost 27% of its health.
Vaporeon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Vaporeon restored 6% of its health.
In retrospect, Draco Meteor would have probably been a better choice. The switch to Vaporeon was painfully obvious, and even a NVE Draco Meteor is stronger than a neutral Hidden Power Ground. Again, I expect to eat an Ice Beam to the face, so I switch to something that gets hit for neutral and is fairly bulky.

Again with the Protect. That last turn really made me think that Protecting the first turn to scout was a habitual action for this opponent that could be abused, probably with Toxicroak. A small plan was already forming in my head. I just needed to...
Whoops, now's not the time to worry about that yet. Now I need to deal with this. Seeing my Earthquake, my money is on a switch to a Flying or Levitating Pokemon.
6 - 5
RedSP: hp ground on mence?
Jiggy-Ninja: Maybe
ComradeTom switched in Gengar (lvl 100 Gengar ?).
Mamoswine used Stone Edge.
Mamoswine's attack missed!
God damn Stone Edge's accuracy to hell! At least my prediction was right. That's a small consolation prize. Gengar's faster than me, and can probably KO me, so my only choice is to bank on the fact that Priority > Speed any day of the week.
6 - 5

Yay, it worked! ^_^ Dragonite troubles me. A Jolly dragonite can outspeed and KO me with Earthquake. I take both a safe and risky move by switching in a Flyer to take the Earthquake. Unfortunately, my Flyer also happens to be weak to Dragon, so this is a huge gamble.

Jiggy-Ninja switched in Leann (lvl 100 Salamence ?).
Salamence's intimidate cut Dragonite's attack!
Dragonite used Dragon Dance.
Dragonite's attack was raised.
Dragonite's speed was raised.
Shit. With that speed boost this thing can outspeed and KO me with a Dragon attack. Mamoswine is unfortunately not in a position to help with Ice shard as he is currently fainted. All I can do is cross my fingers and hope for something stupid.

Salamence's special attack was harshly lowered.
O.o
YES!!! I don't think anybody on my team could have handled a full health Dragonite, but my opponent gets a little greedy and used Focus Sash to ensure him another DD. Unfortunately for him, 1 HP is well within kill range of my two remaining Priority attacking Pokemon, so this Dragonite is as good as done for. Unfortunately, poor Salamence has to be sacrificed. She did her part though, and helped remove a big threat. Kudos to her.

Locked into Outrage, the simple-minded Dragonite had no choice but to kneel before the awesomeness that is Toxicroak. (I hope you understand the sucker joke now, too)
Forretress is in, and the voices in my head are telling me that it's here to do only one thing: Earthquake. Since my Salamence is KOed, I have only one other Pokemon capable of taking Ground attacks.

Given the past two times my Salamence went up against Forretress, I really should have expected the switch to Vaporeon and used Dark Pulse. >.< However, at this point I was smiling. Since Surf was the most likely attack to come my way, this was the perfect opportunity to abuse my opponent's tendency to Protect and set up Toxicroak to deal some serious damage.

I don't care who you are, Dry Skin is an awesome ability. Toxicroak felt very rejuvenated after her little shower, and as I expected, my opponent used Protect on the first turn against Toxicroak. Being the SubPunching fiend my Croak is, she patiently sets up her Substitute and waits.

Hidden Power Fighting does a disheartening amount of damage, but Gyro Ball also did less than expected. Guess the world works both ways. Since I know he's going to Gyro Ball, I switch to my Houndoom again to threaten Fire attack again. Since Vaporeon is gone, there's less of a chance that he has a Fire resistant Pokemon on his team.

I didn't want to use Nasty Plot on the expected switch in case the incoming Pokemon was faster than me. If I had used it, this game would have been over. Still, this is a very good sign for me. If I can get Lucario in after a sacrifice, he can easily take Probopass and with some more softening up Forretress will fall too. Unless I fuck up horribly, there's a good chance this game can be mine.

Toxicroak used Substitute.
Toxicroak lost 25% of its health.
Toxicroak made a substitute!
Forretress used Earthquake.
It's super effective!
The substitute took damage for Brenda!
Toxicroak's substitute faded!
Toxicroak's leftovers restored its health a little!
Toxicroak restored 6% of its health.
It doesn't affect Salamence...

ComradeTom switched in Vaporeon (lvl 100 Vaporeon ?).

Vaporeon protected itself!
Mamoswine used Earthquake.
Vaporeon protected itself!
Vaporeon's leftovers restored its health a little!
Vaporeon restored 6% of its health.
6 - 5
Mamoswine used Ice Shard.
Gengar lost 64% of its health.
Mamoswine lost 10% of its health.
Gengar used Shadow Ball.
Mamoswine lost 42% of its health.
Jiggy-Ninja's Mamoswine fainted.
Jiggy-Ninja switched in Brenda (lvl 100 Toxicroak ?).
Toxicroak was hurt by Spikes!
Toxicroak lost 12% of its health.
Ice Shard did less that expected, though still enough to show Gengar who's boss. Unfortunately, Mamoswine had to go down, though his sacrifice shall not be in vain. Brenda comes in to try and clean up Gengar by smacking it upside the head.

ComradeTom's Gengar fainted.
Toxicroak's leftovers restored its health a little!
Toxicroak restored 6% of its health.
ComradeTom switched in Dragonite (lvl 100 Dragonite ?).
5 - 4
Jiggy-Ninja switched in Leann (lvl 100 Salamence ?).
Salamence's intimidate cut Dragonite's attack!
Dragonite used Dragon Dance.
Dragonite's attack was raised.
Dragonite's speed was raised.
Shit. With that speed boost this thing can outspeed and KO me with a Dragon attack. Mamoswine is unfortunately not in a position to help with Ice shard as he is currently fainted. All I can do is cross my fingers and hope for something stupid.
5 - 4
Foreys has left the room.
Dragonite used Dragon Dance.
Dragonite's attack was raised.
Dragonite's speed was raised.
Salamence used Draco Meteor.
It's super effective!
Dragonite lost 100% of its health.
Dragonite hung on using its Focus Sash!
5 - 4
Dragonite used Outrage.
Dragonite went on a rampage!
It's super effective!
Salamence lost 100% of its health.
Jiggy-Ninja's Leann fainted.
Outrage? Damn, that's the best move I could have seen used. This poor "sucker" is definitely going down. Get it? Sucker? Ah ha ha...wait, why aren't you laughing? Don't you get it? Maybe after this next turn.

Jiggy-Ninja switched in Brenda (lvl 100 Toxicroak ?).

ComradeTom's Dragonite fainted.
Toxicroak's leftovers restored its health a little!
Toxicroak restored 6% of its health.
ComradeTom switched in Forretress (lvl 100 Forretress ?).

RedSP: i hate it when people put sash on non-leads>_<
Jiggy-Ninja switched in WildWill (lvl 100 Mismagius ?).

Mismagius's substitute faded!
Mismagius's leftovers restored its health a little!
Mismagius restored 6% of its health.
Damn it, I was really hoping it didn't know Gyro Ball. Without time to set up, Mismagius had no way to take on Forretress like that. Expecting more Gyro Balls (because Quaking a Mismagius is pretty risky), I switch to my Houndoom to take it out with a Fire attack.

Jiggy-Ninja switched in Bella (lvl 100 Houndoom ?).
Houndoom was hurt by Spikes!

Vaporeon restored 6% of its health.

Toxicroak is tightening its focus!

Didn't he notice the Dry Skin when I switched in? He basically just gave me the health back that I lost for Substitute and took a free Focus Punch right in the face for his trouble. Um...thanks?

Useless Protect. At least Vaporeon is down now. I knew that pattern would come in handy to abuse. Predictability is painful.
Forretress again. I know just how to deal with this.

Houndoom used Hidden Power.
It's super effective!
Probopass lost 64% of its health.
Houndoom lost 8% of its health.
Jiggy-Ninja's Bella fainted.

Mismagius lost 12% of its health.
I really expected that to do more damage. It's 4x weak for crying out loud, and Houndoom is no slouch in the attacking department! Ah well, Bella still did a good job. She's such a cute puppy too!
WildWill comes in basically for clean up duty to take care of the Probopass and soften up Forretress for Lucario.

Props:
--Opponent for being a very good sport.
--Toxicroak for just being so awesome. Not only in this battle, but others as well.
Slops
--Flamethrowering Forretress 3 times in a row, only to have it absorbed by Vaporean. You'd think a guy would learn after a while.
Main message of this battle. Don't be too predictable. You can easily allow your opponent to set up on you.
