playing pokemon at work

It's obvious that playing video games at work can get you in big trouble such as being fired. But honestly, how many on this site pull this kinda of thing off. I have two examples of me playing pokemon at work in my life.

1) Wal-mart: I worked an 11PM-7AM shift at the Wal Mart in Martinsburg, West Virginia and I quit a little bit before I joined this site. Anyways, every day at 5AM we had something called a "cart party". A cart party is when all employees(in theory, lol) at wal-mart go out and collect the carts that have been piled up during the graveyard shift because cart pushers only worked on day and night shift. I told the people that I worked with every day that I had to go take a shit but instead broke out my Fire Red/Leaf Green and played from like 500-530. The coolest thing about it is that I knew I would NEVER get caught because putting cameras in a public bathroom is quite illegail.

2) John's Family Restaurant: This is a restaurant that I have worked on and off for the past 4.5 years and this is where I am currently employeed. It's a small mom and pop kind of place, so enforcement isn't always great. (i have been fired though, lol) Anyways, my managers kid just starting playing soccer and instead of working her normal doubles on Saturday she only worked night shift. (I work doubles every saturday as of right now.) Well, today for the first time at this job I decided to gamble with video games. Just imagine a normal booth you would eat at if you went to a restaurant and imagine having to roll a big ass tray of silverware. Oh i did it all right, but at the same time I was beating the shit out of Bidorf's and Shellos with my Skarmory. I was able to completely effort train my skarm today, even when it got really busy. I now will always have something to do rather than stand around on Saturday morning. lol

Any other stories? Please share.

oh man, we have LAN unreal tournament fights every couple of hours in the tech room where i work. its awesome because my boss was actually the one who told me about it and since i work in a warehouse nobody really notices that you are missing unless they are actually looking for you. gets me through the day :)

I worked at a KBtoys and atleast two people played Pokemon there other than me. One was actually competive but was like "I dont play OU pokemon" so I was like w/e. Then the other lady treated as a Neopets or something.

I play my psp/gameboy, read, watch radio/tv all the time at work.

Then again, I am a security guard and it sort of goes with the job.

yeah i play DS at work. and also at school for that matter. kinda have to hide it though -- power-tripping authority figures see everything wrong with a little bit of pokemon.

ive never really had a job...so...yea...

yeah, back in high school I played pokemon all the time. Playing with a GBA sp is about as easy as texting with a phone, except it requires two thumbs instead of one sometimes. I was never caught though, so woot woot.

I break out the DS every physics, history, and geometry class, and all of my teachers are always like, "whateves."
I've EV trained my Infernape and Starmie at school :D

I volunteered/helped at Boston College's physics lab over the summer and no one ever cared what I did. For like the last 2 weeks, I played 4-5 hrs of DS there! It really killed time.

I used to play on my old GBA at high school. Whenever a teacher approached, I could slide it up my sleeve. The shape of it was perfect for that. I felt like James Bond. Well...I would have if people didn't think I was a dick for playing Pokemon in school.

That was what I did last year too! When Diamond and Pearl came out, lots of people in my Latin class (yes very boring) started playing 3rd generation Pokemon games so I was like, "Wow! I should bring in my GB." And that is how I killed time in Latin class every day.

Gameboy micro= made for playing at school, i bought one off my friend for like 30, and its perfect. as far as work goes its literally impossible by all means for me to play ds, since i am a caddie and while on the job, your way to busy, no chance of even trying to play ds.

I can't play at work because I would get fired...but...I usually carry my DS with me in my backpack for school. Funny story, I was playing my DS in class and was sitting at the end of the row (this was in a lecture hall with about 400 students). I wasn't paying attention and next thing I know my professor walks right up to me and grabs my DS and says "C'mon, pokemon? I bet my nephew can beat you in this" He is mic'd up so the lecture hall erupted in laughter. He then gave me back my DS and continued to lecture.

My friend works in a VUE cinema, and every Tuesday night at 10:30 they bust out an X-box 360 and play Halo on the cinema screens. That's what I call playing fucking video games at work.

Result man lol. Won't they get caught by the managers?

Classic, least he didn't confiscate it.

I don't play the DS or GB except under very limited circumstances in class, since I am paying to be there and get an education.

Up until today I do usually include the GB or DS in my bag and play it while waiting for the bus or before class starts. I say up until today because today I found that my DS had a crack in the screen from carrying it around in my backpack.

DS at school all the time. My friends and I play Tetris when we have extra time during Spanish. I would play Pokemon, but its a bit more of a time investment (ten minutes is about all we can spare usually), and playing with a group of friends is much more fun than playing alone.

I've never played Pokemon at work cause I don't want to get fired, but at school, whenever there's a substitute in, I get a seat in the back of class and play whatever game I've got all period.
