Hmm, it could be a Battle Frontier type of thing, or they could make the E4 battles televised. We'll just have to see what happens.

Hahaha, that would actually be quite realistic. If the player character would fight the E4 in front of spectators it would be much more like in the anime, instead of weird spiral platforms bringing you to an Elite Four member sleeping in a pink bed..

I really don't fancy dw abilities being doled out. Aloy of pokemon getting their old move tutor moves with dw abilities? Can't think of anything terribly frightening off the top of my head but yea....

Poison Heal Gliscor with Stealth Rock would be horribly annoying >.>

It would be cool to see some more abilities released like Sand Rush Sandslash and Ditto. Because we got bullshitted out of getting DW Ditto in that vote thing.

Breloom too, xD

What's a likely candidate for an alt forme, or even a set of formes like Rotom?

I was thinking about Druddigon, since both of its Pokedex entries allude at its rock-like skin. Could be interesting.

One thing to be kept in mind with this:

Rotom was not your average Pokémon back in D/P. It could only be found once, post-game, and was already then a quirky fellow with strange abilities (for instance possession of a TV). It was also positioned so late in the Pokédex that nobody were quite sure if it was a legendary or not.

My best guess is simply Victini.
Arguments for:
- For a start, it's certainly a special Pokémon, being the "mascot" of Gen. V.
- Shaymin, the distinguished "100-all-over" cutemon from the previous generation got a separate forme.
- There are no other legendaries from Gen. V that aren't part of a legendary cluster or who haven't more formes already, save for the unreleased Genesect.
- The "cutemons" have had several formes since back in Gen. III, when formes were introducted, if you count Manaphy/Phione.

Arguments against:
- Because something happened before, doesn't mean it will again. The games aren't that formulaic.
- Victini is the mascot of Gen. V already. It does a job, fills a niche, and doesn't need altering in any way.
- A movie about it came and went without more formes even been hinted at.

All over, I only suspect new formes to be made for quasi-legendary Pokémon "and up". That has been the norm so far, and I don't think they will change that. I can't see them pulling ordinary Pokémon forth in the limelight if they haven't been vital to the story earlier. The odds don't exactly favour Druddigon or Cryogonal or Boldore or whoever.
I can see Volcarona being in some shady grey zone, though.

Dragon + outrage moxie mence, that would just be one giant middle finger to dragonite. I can say with pride that in that DW vote i voted for sunkern

NO! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, runs Leer/Growl/Tail Whip at the start of the games, giving Contrary to a starter would be a plasbad idea.

I also don't think the new Prof will be a DW Tutor, Nintendo would not want to make the Dream World even more useless than it is now, I do think he will be researching DW abilities though so maybe a new way of getting DW abilities? Perhaps B2/W2 DW will have different Pokemon in everyone's DW to promote trading rather than the current "everyone can find everything that's released"?

On the other hand, Snivy wouldn't be able to use any boosting moves like Growth, which would be a big disadvantage.

The video showed Tail Whip working normally against Snivy, which is expected but a bit disappointing. Poor Oshawott users would have to avoid Tail Whipping their rival's Snivy in that first battle. That said, there may be some weight to the "DW Ability tutor" thing for Akuroma...

Ugh, why did change so many things? Like until now, I didn't notice the huge additions (and removals) done in the desert. I wanna know what's new, everywhere, and how it affects the game and story line of the whole thing. What happened to Nuvema Town? What about Accumula, Striaton, and Nacrene? Is it possible that these new heroes just started on the opposite side of Unova, not knowing about Nuvema Town, or something along those lines (if you understand what I'm saying)?

It's not bad at all though, it's just I can't wait for another 2 months now...

When I first saw the battle screen I was like "eeh, it looks exactly the same and the back sprites are still pixely -___-"

But then I noticed they accurally changed some things. Like new battle animations for pokémon, and I just noticed that the grass in the wild battle screen is moving. In BW the same battle sceen was just a dark green circle. The battle screen accurally looks a lot better now ^^

A DW ability tutor would be awesome, to be quite honest, since GF has been releasing pokemon at an extremely slow rate through the current method and it is gimmicky as is. Looking at the new map, the Entralink area seems to have been developed more, what with the water being gone and the spiral tree missing. If it is something else entirely, a DW tutor would make sense.

The Desert Resort is still there. It just looks like the exit tower of the castle in the west half collapsed. The main entrance to the Relic Castle is still there.

Challenger Cave & Cold Storage are the only (important) things that seem to be actually missing, not including what the ice covers.

Even with the Ice, there's 7 Gyms counting the 2 new ones & the non-frozen old ones. Not sure where the 8th would be though. Might be cool of the 8th Gym (or w/e number they decide) were the Battle Subway Bosses in Anville Town.

Just pointing some things out

If someone could add all of the other changes they notice to this, that would be great and very informative!

@Ditto Crow: Here's a list:

- the obvious development in the southwest. Note a stream going towards the mountain and the waterfall that leads to the sea.
- Islands in the southwest have development on them, Liberty Garden is one of them.
- Driftveil has two craters, a missing lighthouse, and a new market.
- Web @ Chargestone Cave is gone. West of Chargestone Cave (I think Mistralton), there is a plane in the middle of the area.
- Challenger's Cave is gone.
- the islands and water pointed out
- there are boats at every pier in Castelia City, and the middle and far right piers have been changed.
- there are some dark patches of water, probably dive spots, that appear to lead out of Unova?!...
- development on Route 4, building in front of Nimbasa.
- Entralink is all dried up
- area to east of Nimbasa Ferris Wheel (where N talked to the player in BW1)
- development in mountains to the east
- random color changes are due to a new art style

Will edit when I get a side by side comparison if I see anything else under the ice.

Well those are all pretty obvious, yeah. I don't think that the added boats/plane means anything tbh. The only noteworthy thing with a vehicle is that there is a plane in the "new settlement." The only thing about the piers is that it looks like the changes include a lower level. This may mean that you can surf out of the city, and possibly go into the dive spots that you mentioned.

I was just wondering if anyone saw anything else under the ice.

There's some new land along the east side. There is a cave in the far southeast. That's what I saw from a side by side comparison.

You know, making the starting town big is actually good.
Saves you the trouble from running back and forth between the first two towns early game.

What I'm interested in is what the ice to the west of your hometown is covering up, or if it's just there to make the map more balanced.
