Pokémon GO

All ready for next raikou raid. Best pokemon to use will include golem & rhydon with ground moves, and dragonite & exeggutor are also great to use against it as well as I'll probably use those to round out my party until I can power up another golem or rhydon. I was going to power up my best zapdos but an excellent raikou will certainly be useful and will have to wait until the end of the month until I can decide which one to power up unless I get hold of a perfect IV one sooner.

Pretty much. Even with Hidden Power Water / Hydro Pump, Vaporeon just outshines it. Its stat line was not made with Go in mind =/

It's particularly weird in light of the recent Mewtwo nerf. They have already displayed a willingness to tweak a Pokémon's CP, so why do they keep Suicune's stats ~1/6 lower than its brethren, whose stats are near identical?

This is something that I question. Nerfing Mewtwo's stats but not buffing or nerfing other mons into relevancy? Niantic works like an enigma.

iOS doesnt allow people to take information like that from their phones, which is what's stopping them iirc. there was a more formal term but that's the base line
Hey, I really want to come back on this. I am very interested in this particular subject regarding iOS. Do you maybe know more about it? Please let me know in PM.

Also, got softbanned today travelling by train. I closed my app when entering the train. When I came out (15 minutes later) I opened PoGo and I wanted to spin a stop. Nothing worked. Then I figured I got softbanned. ****, why does this happen so easily? And does this do anything to my account? Does it 'flag' it or something? Insanely annoying. Had to spin a stop for ~50 times again. In this game you have to play cautiously because can't tell apart legit players from cheaters. Nice one :')

you sure that was a softban and not the game just being slow? sightings vanish etc, as it catches up.. because I have traveled by air and not been softbanned even though the game didn't close (therefore jumped)

I've traveled by plane as well, didn't get me softbanned ever. But today was definitely a softban. Opened up the same stop again and again. Spinning it over and over again, did nothing, even after app restart. Had to open stop, spin, close, repeat for ~50 times and everything worked fine again...

definitely do not open the game in the train, if it goes faster than a car. You will get softbanned instantly (personal experience)

yet another legendary raid, and yet another 0 golden razz.. whoever thought potions should be put in raid rewards should be punched.. hard

I play on the tram all the time, go+ all the stops and gyms now.

Sucks... I mean, what's the point of the 'I am a passenger option' if you get softbanned when you're actually a passenger?

Also, does a softban leave any marks/flags to your account?

It doesn't, or rather, it's so inconsequential that it does not factor into any bans or warnings of any sort Niantic will issue you.

Darn... drawing these Glaceons made me miss my last opportunity to get better Moltres or Zapdos. But anyway....

We got Suikun first. Well... I'll just take that as opportunity to take a rest. Already got one Suikun, will solo Vappies and save all those golden berries until the next one comes. Will join another Suikun just for more rewards though. Will really, really need Golden Berries especially when Raikou comes.

Man, people here are going HAM on Entei. Almost as if it's the last day it's obtainable or something. People, you've got 30 days, relax!

we had an entei locally on the first day 1 group game at 7:30pm.. and another lot at 8pm.. with enough to split into 3... got one here now.. and only 2 people lol

take gym overnight, get knocked out.. within hours retaken and full, trying to earn badge and this is the 2nd time people going around with 2+ accounts from miles away taking up gym spots. bring back prestiging :( looks like shaving.. people at the bottom only turned up within minutes of knockout of mine.. seriously wish Niantic would sort that out.

Yeah well I kind of stopped doing gyms, too much of a hassle when you're in an active area. But I feel you phalanx

Just had my third Entei run away from me. RNG has to be in my favor once, right? I mean, I'm throwing Excellent Curve Balls combined with Golden Razz berries :(

Maybe you should try going for greats, I find that whenever I hit excellent throws I'm less likely to get the curve ball bonus. Also the curveball bug has been officially recognized by niantic, so hopefully we'll get a fix soon!

Today, the weather in Trondheim was unseasonably lovely, so I went out for a stroll to see if I could get me an Entei. I caught the first one I found, albeit with an IV percentage of less than 80. The second (just up the street from the first one) got away from every ball I chucked at it without as much as a shake. I guess my crappy throwing was to blame, though. Luckily, the critter is slated to be here for an entire month, I will probably get more attempts at a high-IV one in the future.

Defeating the Entei earned me a lot of items, and I got even more from reaching level 30 in the process, on top of an already-full bag. After the first battle, my Item count read 520/400. I walked around town for another ten kilometers or so (slightly less according to the game's notoriously shaky GPS - I didn't quite hatch the 10 km eggs I threw into my newly Incubators), catching every Pokémon I encountered, and I still couldn't bring the Item count below the capacity of my Bag. Sadly, that meant no PokéStops, and I passed a lot of stops I've never spun before. Oh well, at least now I know where they are, so if I take the same route another time, I can claim them all for tons of bonus Exp.

What bug exactly? :o

The curveball doesn't register sometimes, once you pay attention to it you can realize it happens more frequently than you think (plus, if the pokemon breaks out, you have no way to know if the curve registered or not). No one knows exactly what the current criteria is that causes some curveballs to not count, but either way niantic recognized it as a bug so hopefully we have a fix coming soon.

Well, "I am a passenger" was generally for cars and the such. My personal problem with taking the train while having the game open is that there is a decent possibility(in my train system) is that it tends to lose GPS signal quite often. Here's my example:

I was taking the train back from the city, after doing some raids. Decided to take the gym at the train station while raiding. Me being stupid, I simply kept it on while getting on the train, and traveling a few miles. Of course, to my phone(and poor connection), i was "still at the train station." After i had traveled two miles, My phone recognized that I had reconnected, teleporting me from the old station to the new one. Thus, I looked like I was spoofing.

This is only from personal experience, don't know if anyone else has experienced that or if you have other ways of getting softbanned.

Also no, I don't believe that it flags your account, at least not in the way botting/using an illegal API does.
