Pokémon GO

I wonder what the spawn ratio will be for the featured Pokemon. Will it be an equal 9.09% each? Will some spawn more than others? Or will they be like 7% each, and the other 23% will be regular spawns?

Personally, I'm looking forward to some Dratini candy (for my 100% Dragonite), a Beldum with better IVs (my best one from CD was like 82%), and like PsychicAcademic, Larvitar candy to power up my Dark TTars.

Otherwise, maybe an extra FP Venusaur and BB Charizard with decent IVs, but not gonna go out of my way for that.

I'm a little confused on what the best Fire/Water/Grass attackers are currently because of the community day moves.

In terms of DPS I think it's something like:

Fire: Entei, Moltres, Charizard (BB), Typhlosion (BB)

Water: Kyogre, Gyarados, Kingdra (?)

Grass: Venusaur (FP), Roserade, Sceptile, Exeggutor

As for TDO, I have no clue. If anyone here knows what the best options are that would be great since we're getting access to the special moves again.

Moltres has better DPS than Entei, IIRC. Entei is the bulkier one. Even better with God Bird/Sky Attack (Flying, I know, but still works against Grass and Bugs, their common targets). And IIRC too, Typh having only Ember makes it comparable to Flareon, the standard. Then again Heatran imminent anyway (although I kinda prefer Moltres now than this lavarobofreak).
Also, I didn't think Kingdra would be worth a mention. Or we are too used with having a lot of Kyogres (I have 17?) and 'karps.
And as said, Roserade is higher than Venusour, of course at cost of much frailty.

On DPS alone:
Grass: Roserade, FP Venusaur, Sceptile, Exeggutor
Fire: Moltres, BB Charizard, Flareon, Blaziken, Entei
Interestingly, Moltres is set to still have the highest DPS among Fire-types, mostly because Heatran is stuck with Fire Blast. It'll have quite a bit more bulk, though.
Water: Kyogre, Sharpedo, Gyarados, Floatzel
Kingdra is far down the Water DPS ladder, behind Swampert, Blastoise, Empoleon, Vaporeon, Crawdaunt, Starmie, Feraligatr, Omastar, Wailord, Kingler, Milotic.... AND THEN Kingdra.

EDIT:
A lot of the top DPS are glass cannons, though, so if you want to count in bulk:
Grass: FP Venusaur, Tangrowth, Roserade, Exeggutor
Fire: Moltres, Entei, Heatran, BB Charizard
Water: Kyogre, Gyarados, Swampert

Powered through to 6/9 in the Meltan quest today and caught an 80% Cresselia, which was expected anyway. Unfortunately those 10 raids will have to wait a week or two. Hopefully the Anorith/Kabuto/whatever else is featured in steps 7 and 8 don't disappear before then.

I'm sitting at 8 raids done and with Tuesday 11/27 looming ahead when all the related spawns and quests expect to go away at 4pm New York time, I suggest for those getting this far to have the following ready:

1 drowsee with enough candies to evolve
1 scyther with enough candies to evolve (6/9 quest rewards a metal coat anyways)
knowledge of place to find cubone, omanyte or kabuto, anorith or lileep
hold off claiming hatch 2 eggs reward for aerodactyl until getting to 8/9

I will also plan to use a lucky egg and try to coordinate with new ultra/best friends if possible for claiming 8/9 Meltan & 9/9 as well.

As I had feared... Umbreon is nearly impossible to solo. Even full Machamps may only win in +170 seconds, which is well beyond wha my phone can do.

Also, PSA: Espeon and Umbreon's catch rate is still 0%. Pretty much like Togetic back then, except that you're stuck with Premier Ball.

I'll stick with hunting Vaporeon until I get better ones to defend with. The tankiness value is apparently still higher than Milotic, only lacking deverse attack types. I still enjoy making preraid attackers waste their time.

Ugh, I have Drowsee and Scyther ready, but Cubone and the fossils are going to take forever. I've been saving the wrong task (evolve 2 Anorith) when I really should've been saving hatch 2 eggs. Chances are slim, but hopefully I'll be able to find that one in the next 3 days. The Poke Stops around me have been giving me evolve 2 Anorith every day for the longest time. I wish they'd change it so that you can reroll for a different task instead of having one fixed to each per day.

And today, can't even find Vaporeon raids. Went for one Cresselia and I can't even get Excellents like I do almost every other legendaries to save my life. At least that was not high IV enough to cause heartbreak.

I was too tired, and not used to this one. Cresselia is somehow too close to easily estimate the needed throwing power. Even Latios was easier.

Made it to 8/9 on my main account, all I need to do is find and catch my last kabuto or omanyte then will prepare to use a lucky egg for the final XPs and the Meltan pokedex entry along with 1 or 2 new Best Friends I have lined up. It'll be a relief once done and am tempted to start using my over abundance of rare candies most likely on buizel and a lucky 97.8% beldum I don't have enough candies to evolve yet. My alt accounts will need to play catch up of course.

I got another hatch 2 eggs task with a Pokemon encounter as a reward so I was thinking I got lucky because I need the Aerodactyl for the Meltan quest, but then I got the excellent task again which now has 2 Ultra Balls as the reward. Has it already changed..?

The Let's Go event ends on the 27th. All the research tasks can have an item/dust reward or an encounter. It's just random.

Cool, randomly threw an excellent right away on Staryu. Also got a perfect Clefable from the task reward, too bad it's not any good.

Clefable can be good defender with its resistance against Machamp. If I'm you while with my 3.4M dusts I'd at least make it my dust dump for "Power up 5 times" quests.

Also Let's Go and non-event quests coexist. I had both Ditto and 2 berries from separate quests.

While that's true, after Beldum CD everyone has a Meteor Mash Metagross now so it kinda devalues Clefable, right?

I legit powered up my Roserade this morning before work and at one of the Poke Stops on my way to work, I got that power up 5 times task. I'm only at about 800k Stardust now, hoping to recoup some on CD.

Sinnoh Stones are no longer a guaranteed reward from every Research Breakthrough, travelers, but are now granted randomly like other awards. We expect additional ways to obtain them in the future, per Niantic's past statements to TSR, but have not seen any yet. (Hopefully soon!)
Source. Well that certainly sucks. Luckily I got two before they changed it and held onto one of them (used one on Roserade).

Omanyte and Kabuto are tier one raid bosses in case you still need them for the Meltan research task. Unfortunately it's not in the same set as the 10 raids one, though.

So relieved the Meltan quest is done on my part as I would've considered that the hardest had to be done now without the plentiful of the required pokemon necessary. The upcoming community day event is a god-send as I still have a lucky 98% beldum and a shiny ivysaur with perfect attack that will benefit from this.

Wish I knew what December's research Pokemon is and whether to wait until December 1 or not. I've already got Ninjask which is underwhelming to say the least and consider as a pokedex filler.

Same. I'll be at 7 tomorrow on November 30th but because of time zones I think I might have to wait until December 2nd before the switch. The OCD in me doesn't want to wait but really I don't miss out on much if I wait, right?

Also for CD, I'm probably still gonna focus on Larvitar and maybe Beldum. I wonder if certain Pokemon will only appear in certain nests or will it just be everything everywhere. Gonna try to get my 10 raids done this weekend too despite the snow making travel troublesome, and Exeggcute are ridiculously difficult to find now.

EDIT: idk if it's just me, but I suggest turning off Adventure Sync for CD if you're gonna walk around with the app open anyway. With the in-app tracker, it updates in intervals that would allow me to walk around 400m, but with Adventure Sync, I've found that it updates so much less frequently that I walk 1.7km to work for it to only register 600m. Given the double incubator effectiveness as well, it would suck to have to walk 3.4km to hatch a 2km egg when I can do that in 1.2km instead.

For the first time, my Research Breakthrough will happen on the 1st, so I'll be able to decide which to get! I'm hoping it's one of the Lati@s.

A few things to note:
  • Adventure Sync doesn't actually track the distance you've travelled, but rather the amount of steps your phone thinks you've taken, which is then translated to a distance. It even works on a treadmill. So there could very well be a discrepancy.
  • Adventure Sync won't work properly if PoGo is running in the background. The app has to be closed for Adventure Sync to accept all the steps you've taken.
  • Your phone won't track your steps if your Battery Saving mode is ON, so Adventure Sync won't have anything to sync.

Eventually all the distance on my Healthcare app adds up, though, it just takes a lot longer to register. I walk about 1.7km one-way to and from work each day and the distance tracked always adds up to about 3.5km, which allows me to hatch eggs properly. The problem is that it sometimes takes up to an hour or two for the distance to reflect and eventually hatch the egg. I always run it in the background with battery saver mode to catch Pokemon once in a while when I'm near Poke Stops. Maybe iOS and Android are different?

Regardless, if what you say is true, then Adventure Sync should be turned off for CD if you plan on having your game open anyway.

Also, trash rewards for December breakthrough. Can't we move onto gen 3 already? Probably just gonna take the Shedinja since I have no need for any more birds or dogs.
