Weavile @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Triple Axel
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard

Since there's a few post from what I expected there being a lot of, Im shamlesly stealing Abhisdn417 idea where host could participate if they want. Weavile is really frail and gladly enjoys being brought in safely by U-Turn from Landorus-T while also enjoys it bulk in covering Weavile's poor defene in checking the like of Garchomp, Zeraora, Tapu Koko, and Tyranitar. Since Landorus-T invites things such as Tornadus-T, Zapdos, and opposing Landorus-T all of these can forced out by Weavie giving it a free opportunity to set up as they switch out and being able to remove them for Landorus-T. With these free opportunity in forcing switches, Weavile has the free ability to either set up Swords Dances or can remove any item to whatever switches into it with Knock Off, this while capable of removing teams Ground-Immunity or resist except Skarmory and Corviknight opens up for Landorus-T to be free and click Earthquake.

:ss/tapu_koko:
Tapu Koko @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Dazzling Gleam
- U-turn
- Roost

Tapu Koko forms a VoltTurn, or in this case TurnTurn, core with Landorus. It takes advantage of the Pokemon that switch into Landorus-T like Skarmory, Corviknight, and Mandibuzz and is able to deal with Tornadus-T that might try to set up, while Landorus-T checks the Ground-types that switch into Koko and can cripple Pokemon like Tangrowth with Knock Off or Toxic.

Hey there, time to vote!!

The voting system used is the Ranked Pairs format (the same as CAP uses). To vote you basically order your options like this: C>B>A>D, like this A>B=C>D, or like this D>C, assuming there are 4 partner options (A, B, C, and D). If you choose not to vote for all partners, the last partner(s) will be assumed to be last and valued equally if more than one got left out. Additionally, don't vote for your own submission. If you have any questions, by all means, ask me.

This Weeks submissions are:
Partner A :slowking: by VTaxi
Partner B :tangrowth: by Katy
Partner C :corviknight: by SLDR

Round 26
:ss/dragonite:
Dragonite @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 248 HP / 52 Atk / 56 Def / 152 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dual Wingbeat
- Heal Bell / Earthquake

- Roost

Defensive Dragonite has been gaining a lot of attention as of late, especially in some recent WCOP matches, with its unique ability being able to be an offensive threat with Dragon Dance with some defensive utility acting as a cleric with Heal Bell. This gives Dragonite the ability to be able to check many dangerous threats in the tier such as offensive Grass-types, Heatran, and Volcarona with its decent bulk and good ability in Multiscale, and is able to remove any statuses on itself whenever it gets crippled from Flame Body and Toxic. Earthquake is a nice move to be switched with being able to hit Heatran and Toxapex heart, though it comes at a cost being left crippled from statuses. With Dragon Dance, Dragonite can now be a threat after two boost can outspeed everything unboosted and can be an effective sweeper in late game once its switchins have been weakened or removed. That all being said we ask then what will you pair Dragonite with.

heatran

:bw/Heatran:
Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Taunt
- Lava Plume

heatran is a great partner to dragonite, as heatran gives dragonite necessary offensive support to deal with pokemon such as toxapex, skarmory, corviknight, ferrothorn, melmetal, and aegislash, as all of them cant switch into heatran safely at all because they have to fear getting trapped by magma storm and worm down by earth power in the case of toxapex, or it can just straight up remove steel-types such as the aforementioned ones. heatran can also help against kyurem and weavile in a pinch, with especially in tandem with dragonite, weavile and kyurem may lock themselves into an ice-type stab and this is where heatran can switch in and pressure these two pokemon. furthermore dragonite and heatran can both pressure magnezone a lot and heatran can just remove it for dragonite to give dragonite an opening in the battle. meanwhile dragonite can pressure alongside heatran pokemon such as rillaboom, volcarona, and kartana. all of them have a lot of issues dealing with that core. in overall dragonite appreciates the support given by heatran to remove troublesome steel-types and dragonite can put on pressure on volcarona, rillaboom, and kartana, and use them as setup fodder for itself. both form a great partnership and can help relieving pressure, as they check a good amount of pokemon together. :dragonite:  :heatran:

MELMETAL
:ss/melmetal: :leftovers:
Melmetal @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 244 SpD / 12 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Double Iron Bash
- Earthquake

- Toxic
Protox SpDef Melmetal is a great partner to Dragonite because it is able to badly poison targets like Lando-T and Garchomp who trouble both Dragonite and Melmetal. Additionally, Melmetal is able to take on Fairy-types such as Tapu Lele, Clefable, and Tapu Fini and pressure them with its strong STAB-move, Double Iron Bash. Dragonite appreciates its threats getting statused or KOed by Melmetal (allowing Dragonite to sweep more easily), while Dragonite is able to switch into Volcarona and Heatran for Melmetal.

:xy/magnezone:

Magnezone @ Air Balloon
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 Def / 116 SpA / 140 Spe
Bold Nature
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute

zone excels at being a dragonite (lil kevin tribute) partner because of its ability to trap skarm, corviknight and drill (if u dont goof out by misclicking it in removing its balloon or expose it to chip damage) allowing dnite to sweep. basic stuff, also appreciates heatran being removed if eq is slotted on the set. and these two abuse the relevance of rilla / grass spam offense while creating awkward scenarios to break enough holes for dnite to win

Cm thunder clefable

:sm/clefable:
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 244 SpD / 12 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Thunder
- Soft-Boiled
this win condition core is nasty, especially if you choose to run heal bell>eq. being your two win conditions, they can't get statused (cm clefable HATES being paralyzed). thunder nails targets like toxapex and metal birds, while being a potential lure against heatran, which can get paralyzed. the offensive sinergy is really that simple, but the two are win conditions for entirely different matchups. for example, corvi+koko structures can ruin dragonite's life, but this clefable abuses them. in general, clefable is more effective on bulky teams that rely on status/passive damage to check things. dnite has heal bell, but mono-flying isn't nearly as good neutral coverage as fairy-electric. on the contrary, more offensively oriented teams with physical breakers like shifu or rillaboom can overwhelm clefable but risk being destroyed by a dragonite that can't be statused. zeraora is mildly annoying to this core, but you have teammates. also dnite has the bulk to set up on it to the point where dual wingbeat kills it, funnily enough, but you better have a zera check/counter anyway. unaware clefable is a huge deal against this core, so you must have a plan to crack it open. thankfully it isn't that common, but it's the hardest counter to this core so keep it in mind.

DEFENSIVELY, however, the sinergy is still brilliant. spdef clef tries its best to handle kyurem and dragapult for dnite, while dnite has typing and bulk to offensively handle big guns like the aforementioned rillaboom and urshifu for clefable. this win condition core still holds tremendous defensive utility between each other and overall in the team builder.
for this reason i went with a specially defensive spread on clefable. on that note, those 12 speed evs are for creepwars and beating other clefables. However, if you want more power from clef then by all means use life orb>leftovers and a different spread altogether. for example, 108 modest clef ohkos pex at +1, while neutral 44 always 2hkos it unboosted

Onto the next round!
:ss/tapu-lele:
Tapu Lele @ Leftovers
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Moonblast
- Thunderbolt

Calm Mind Tapu Lele is a beast in the current metagame, absolutely destroying more defensive teams while ripping through offensive ones too. Its ability to win 1v1 against some of its most common checks in Heatran, Slowking and Corviknight makes it a menace to deal with defensively. That being said what do you think benefits from Calm Mind Tapu Lele's abilities?

garchomp

:bw/garchomp:
Garchomp @ Life Orb
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Scale Shot

Garchomp and Tapu Lele are formidable partners, which can break down many Pokemon in the metagame such as Heatran, Blissey, Slowking, Slowbro, Corviknight, Skarmory, Toxapex, Mandibuzz, Ferrothorn, and many more Pokemon in the current metagame, and that is exactly why they're great partners. They can help each other out to break past these above mentioned defensive Pokemon very well. Furthermore Tapu Lele helps with its Psychic Surge Garchomp out because if Garchomp sets up with SD + Scale Shot it is not that easy to revengekill by threats such as Weaviles Ice Shard priority, as such moves will get blocked by Psychic Terrain. In overall these two forme a great partnership, as they're able to break past common defensive Pokemon and they're able to overwhelm them pretty quickly during the battle. :garchomp:  :tapu lele:

Heatran is able to take care of bulky steels such as Corviknight, Scizor, and AV Melmetal who otherwise may wall Tapu Lele. On the other hand, Tapu Lele is also able to overwhelm Heatran's defensive checks such as Slowking, Tapu Fini, Rotom, and defensive Garchomp.

moistshifu

yes, i just said it.

:ss/urshifu-rapid-strike:

Urshifu-Rapid-Strike @ Choice Band
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Surging Strikes
- Close Combat
- Aqua Jet
- U-turn

in a similar vein to katy's partner, cm lele + urshifu-r both have an extreme influence offensively to break down and lure their shared checks such as heatran, spdef ferrothorn, tangrowth, and mixed def toxapex for urshifu-r and dragapult. dangerous vs stall teams, forces critical set-guessing, and dissuades priority moves. urshifu-r can also remove scizor after a slight amount of chip damage, one of the most common lele checks, and become generally irritating for bulkier teams and offense alike.
