Do you think Froakie can float like Buizel or Floatzel? This image clearly shows his "scarf" inflating with some type of material. This could hint at a Water/Flying evo.

Considering Froakie is based on a frog it's most definitely his vocal sac. I assume you think those are cloud-like, but they are probably just bubbles. His little glasses on his face are single bubbles and I find it hard to imagine those just being tiny clouds.

It could have gone any which way. Either Froakie has a ruff around his neck that's a grotesque, loose, bumpy material that makes up his throat and acts as a buffer for attacks (Game Freak, stop being so dark), or he can sweat bubbles and manipulate the quantity and size of the bubbles around his neck.
I'm really impressed by the Pokémon who can trigger something on their body for fighting purposes, especially with Froakie's bubbles and, potentially, the spot on the back of Clauncher's larger claw that resembles a vent. I can picture it opening like a vent/filter/set of gills to filter water through his claw to create the pressure needed for a powerful Water attack.

It's....it's bubbles....
The Water-type Pokémon Froakie is both light and strong, making it capable of jumping incredibly high. The bubbles on its chest and back protect it from attacks. Froakie may appear absentminded, but in truth it pays close attention to its surroundings at all times.

I'll just use Minimize for now. Hope I can evade the mods' attacks.

Dinesh used Minimize!
Dinesh evasion rose!

The Moderators use Mods Attack!
The Moderators attack miss!

The Moderators tries to run!
You can't run from a forum battle!

Haha. Anyway, regarding the speech bubble move, any non-damage, non-status, non-stat lowering moves can fit. Although Torment seems most likely, unless it is a new moves. How many new moves on average does GameFreak introduce each gen?

It fluctuates noticeably. Gen 1 had 164 moves, gen 2 introduced 87 more, gen 3 had 103 new ones, gen 4 had 113 new techniques, and gen 5 came with 72 new moves. On average, not counting gen 1, every new generation introduces 99 new moves with a rough margin of +/- 20.
If it helps at all, there are presently 559 moves in the main series games, not counting any new ones revealed through XY leaks.

I've been watching this thread since around page 75. I never bothered to make an account to post my opinion.

Here are some notes I've taken.

What we crave:
Starter Evo types
RNG stuff
Hidden Power switch
Topsy-Turvy effectiveness
General Abilities and Moves to be introduced
Battle Changes
GTS Compatibility

What we need to know:
Nothing

We already know enough, and it's time to stop guessing what will happen in the next generation. I've been playing since Gen II, and I haven't cared about much competitively since B/W. the only thing I need to know is why yall fight and type at each other all the time.

Can someone please explain to me this:

Upping the game a little, how will this forum change upon the release of X/Y? Should the starter Evo types be released in ¿CoroCoro? (What is that?), and which Pokemon from other generations should get retyped, gain new evolutions, and who will get new Egg movepools?

Isn't Corocoro leaking this week?
I hope this time they will reveal some evos or pre-evos of older pokemon.Maybe they will also show how we get the starters and from whom.

It will leak early next week
Isn't Corocoro in Japanese? If they leak early next week and they don't have a new Pokemon(which they always have), this could throw us off course. Anywho, have any of the recent leaks been disproven/fake? And what about Oorotto? I'd say it's in the leaks next week. Type, move, area.

CoroCoro is indeed a Japanese magazine. Since they're in their news kick leading up to the new games, we like to think that they'll reveal a new handful of Pokémon every month up until the games come out. If, for whatever ungodly marketing reason, they don't showcase a new Pokémon or two, then it's up to us to determine how much we're willing to cry over undiscovered Pokémon, though it leaves us with more time to try delving deeper into whatever topics we still feel comfortable poking a stick at after a month or two.
There haven't been any new rumors worth mentioning, besides the supposed leaker from last month who walked into Pokejungle and started convincing everyone there to believe in the Pokémon he was coming up with (many of which I would have suspected Game Freak to come up with at some point, but most sane people would figure that he's lying pretty hard). Other than that, you can expect some new fakemon art to come up this week that the artist will try to pass off as real leaked scans from CoroCoro.

As for this upcoming issue, I'm also hoping to see some official Orotto artwork (knowing his typing wouldn't hurt either :3), though I don't suspect Orotto to be the big super scoop of the generation. My gut's saying that, if they want to talk about Mewtwo at all before the release of the games, they'll do it in the magazine, and possibly this month. If the major scoop isn't information on Mewtwo's new form, then I can only trust that they have plans to amaze.

EDIT for directly below me- Oh god, it'd be wonderful if they worked out the migration kinks.

I'm betting that they'll announce that the shiny Creation Trio unlocks something when migrated to Gen 6 if migration is implemented. And I'm sure there'll be new Pokemon.

I hope they don't waste this month's issue on Mewtwo.

We have more Pokemon than moves.... How did this happen? Honestly, That stat is a total mind blow for me O_o I never really though about it in that way.

Remember CoroCoro said something about Their Biggest Scoop Ever didn't they? I am pretty excited to find out what it is considering they cover a lot of the Pokemon stuff pretty religiously and seem to be Nintendo's magazine of choice.

"Scoop Of The Century". And in a few days we'll find out just how much CoroCoro exaggerates their news to create a hype. Has CoroCoro ever made an important announcement like this? If so, what was the actual news behind the announcement?

They aren't going to devote the entire issue's Pokemon Section to one single thing, they're in the full swing of monthly reveals

Given previous trends, a Sunday leak (the 11th) would be somewhat likely, and a Monday leak very likely. I would not get my hopes up for a Saturday leak.
