You know, the arm things make me like it a *little* more for some reason.

You know what would be fun on Flareon (but won't happen): Drought. No, it won't make him a good poke. But it'd be interesting.

Yeah, at this point, I don't have a big issue with the designs, just the typings. It's like the picked the absolute most boring typings to give us. Pure Grass, Fire/Fighting, pure Water, seriously?

@Cyrus: Please don't bring this up again. I just wanted to mention something I had just learned about one of the starters, I didn't mean to reignite the argument about them being fake or not.

I was going to post the responses sometime.

Oh guys, Tinted Lens Flygon and Simple Dragonite is almost instant uber in any metagame that features SOME "old" pokemon.

But regarding useful DW changes:
I'm really looking forward to Sandslash getting that +Speed in Sandstorm.
I also still think Dust Proof DNite would both be extremely useful (for Sandstorm/Hail) but in no way overpowered.
Also, Umbreon and Espeon should be able to keep Eevee's Adaptability (not that it would help Umbreon, but...).
Also, I think Charizard should finally get Intimidate and Blastoise could probably use the new Sturdy.

EDIT: Post below has obviously just started to play Pokemon... >__>

Of course we all know that GF never thinks strategically. They just think of what appeals to eleven-year olds who think the anime came first.

This is just sayin' something. Take it or leave it.

Normal CBGon:

252 Adamant Choice Band Flygon Outrage
vs. 248/0 Adamant Occa Berry Metagross (Lead set) : 29.5% - 34.7%

Tinted Lens CBGon:
252 Adamant Choice Band Flygon Outrage
vs. 248/0 Adamant Occa Berry Metagross (Lead set) : 59.2% - 69.7%

Maybe not Uber quality thanks to base 100 Attack, 80 HP/Defenses and a new pain from entry hazards without Levitate, but still can pack a whollup!

What are you implying?
I've played Pokemon competitively since Gen II, so all I can talk about is what came after that, but from all that experience I can tell you one thing:
GF has always reacted to competitive metagame. They know all about it and (at least to a certain extent) they care about it. GF certainly does think strategically. And IF GF fixes old stuff, they make it more competively viable in most cases.

I wrote a longer post about this once, here:

Wait I thought it is only the spanish site claiming those types where 2ch claimed them to be water fighting and fire dark with no mention of the grass type.

Yes you're right, the spanish guy is the only one who has said that fire/fighting, water, and grass are the types.

The post on 2ch that first showed the starter evos didn't say anything besides the images being the starter evos... And since Pokexperto were the first to "confirm" the starter evos, I would assume their typings are correct too.

Then there is still hope. I mean even serebii wasn't smug enough to claim those are the types.

Edit well although they were first to confirm that could have just been to be the first to get it without checking "sources" also if they have the same source why wouldn't serebii admit to the types also.

The guy on 2ch did later mention the fire/dark and water/fighting though, so who knows what the real types will be...

I think I said before, but I honestly don't mind if Pokabu3 turns out Fire/Fighting despite how boring it is, since Pokabu will likely be more of a tank, so it won't be obviously outclassed by Infernape as Blaziken was. Fighting is not a bad defensive type, and it mitigates Fire's Rock-type weakness at least. Hopefully it'll get Slack Off as an instant recovery move too.

After that little sprite picture.. im already a huge fan of the final grass evo..

and since the final water evo has been beastly looking from day 1.. looks like im in quite the predicament.

the 2nd evo of the water starter just looks really off to me. not the body style or art. but the coloring. it looks off, and im hoping the color was changed.

I just hope that we don't end up with Gen 4 Starters, where each one can completely decimate both others. Infernape won the war beacue of speed.

I am still hoping for grass flying/ elec water fighting and fire dark / ground.

Has the same tm system been confirmed?

That's what I've got my money on, since Pokabu can learn Assurance and Mijumaru can learn Revenge. I don't have a clue about the grass starter though, I only hope it isn't pure Grass.

no. I's been different every gen but the first 50 are second-time attendees already, sooooooooo..............

Sepeaking of which, who thinks infinite tm use is a bad idea. NOT ME!
