been reading this since the starter evo pics were posted. I could live with the evolutions, though personally, i'd like a mijimaru evolution that has a similar look to infernape.

A fast water starter would make my day, though if Tsutaja does become grass/electric or grass/dragon i'd have a hard time deciding.
As for prediction stats

Fire/Dark: 95/120/95/80/65/65
Water/fighting: 80/110/90/70/80/100
Grass/Dragon/Electric (my personal wish. if they can have triple battles, they can have triple typings): 75/60/70/120/90/125

So from the looks of things, the next gen is probably going to be another offensively based metagame (with a weird emphasis on accuracy). agree/disagree?

Your grass electric would be goddly since it has a much higher the 530 bst. But yea we all seem to be around the seme ballpark with are stat guesses.

Edit
Of coarse, these are just speculations in relation to the non-confirmed evolutions; they could turn out to be anything! I think the only hard information we have is that Pokabu has high HP and low Defenses, and that Tsutarja is going to have high Special stats.

Actually I am pretty sure Mijamaru was confirmed to have high attack. And from his ability to take the tbolt in that one video we can assume a reletively high specail def (sign of a fighting type).

And I more or less agree with your spreads. I'd just give Dragon typing to Tsutarja, though.

I was fairly torn between those two, personally. It's highly likely to be either looking at the picture. I would think Electric is a bit more likely, though, because of the color palette that Smuglord has. A lot of people say that Dragon is a bit Farfetch'd for a starter type, but it's not as overpowered as people may think; just look at Flygon and Alteria. Dragon wouldn't be such a great type if almost every single one didn't get DD+Outrage, along with pseudo-legendary stats.

@Upstart: Well that's pretty cool; means it'll be a unique Water type starter.

@-TheLucarioEffect-: I know it's plausible. It was my second choice for a possible secondary type, after all. Besides, just because Tsutarja might not be Dragon type doesn't mean that there won't be a Dragon/Grass type in the game. Anything's possible when it comes to type combinations (Unfortunately that includes 3 Fire/Fighting starter types in a row).

The final evolutions for the starters are fake. I know this because I spoke with Christopher Monsanto's beard. It was the single most terrifying moment of my entire life.
I just have to say.... lol

loool

edit: okay so this post isn't totally useless, I'll say that my personal picks for the Dream World abilities would be:

Venusaur - Solar Power
Charizard - Flame Body
Blastoise - Shell Armor

Vaporeon - Hydration of course
Jolteon - Static
Flareon - a new ability, none of the old fire-centric abilities fit well
Espeon - Forewarn or Anticipation
Umbreon - Illuminate (assuming it gets a new effect like Sturdy did)
Leafeon - confirmed to be Herbivore
Glaceon - Ice Body

Sceptile - Sticky Hold (he's a gecko, right? makes sense)
Blaziken - Early Bird
Swampert - Inner Focus or Keen Eye

The only problem I have with the supposed Wotter3 is

1) It looks nothing like Wotter and Wotter2.
2) It's quadrupedal. As a quadrupedal it can't be the badass samurai otter I wanted it to be. How is it supposed to fight when it's on all 4 legs?! And more importantly, how will it use Shell Blade?!
3) The facial hair is a bit too much.

I like the design of the pokemon, and it is actually a pretty nice pokemon....as a stand-alone. As the final evo of a poke with so much potential? Not so much.

@respiration-
Wait why cant the "evolution" of theotter be a fighting type. He has thumbs to all for fists. He can use his horn /sword for combat. He looks like a samurai with headgear, armor, and even an almost chest plate. I mean if absol and staraptor can learn super power and close combat I see why not an otter with fists and a big ass horn can't.

Now as to explain the switch to quadrabedal. One thing is that he would gain speed as quadrabedal animals are typically faster but lack the ability for true distance; ex cheetahs. Also as an otter he can stand on hind legs at least as seen by show seels irl. But I find the best explanation is the horn. Because they couldn't give a pokemon a sword as far marrowak and farfetched no pokemon as a seperate weapon; let alone a big ass sword. As such a horn made perfect sense. However to have maximum mobility and sight of the opponent with the horn the otter would have to be under the opponent. As such resorting to moving on all fours.

somebody just posted this on gamefaqs

This would have completely debunk the pics. The only thing is, the Gamefaqs picture is purposely misplace a bit to the left. Its obvious. You can still see tons of the beta artwork where the new art is suppose to cover it. If it were aligned properly with the image if the supposed Grass Stater line, the Wotter2 dude wouldn't be there at all.

Srry, but this jpeg ain't accurate.

I personally, would love to see better starters, but these guy aren't offering sufficient evidence that they are fakes.

My think is that I want their to be a way of breeding for dream world abilities once they are acquired. I mean the dream eevee already can't get wish :/

Leafeon has never been confirmed (or rumored for that matter) to have Herbivore. I'm not sure where people are getting that from.

We haven't exactly had sufficient evidence that they are real either, just typically trusted sites saying that they are.

I'm ok with these as the starter evolutions, I would rather like it if they weren't though. Some of the colors are a little strange looking to me. Not fond of wotter3 looking so different from the other two. I like wotter3 as a stand alone but not sure if I like it as the 3rd water stage, mostly because wotter2 is my favorite "revealed" pokemon, assuming that it stays very similar to the beta anime art.

Mijumaru3 just seems so out of place, it doesn't belong with 1 and 2. I want my bipedal samurai otter ala Mijumaru2, who is absolutely badass.

I agree completely. I also don't like the color scheme of both of them, I prefer the color scheme of Wotter2 in most fan art (the color scheme that seemed pretty obvious enough).

@Upstart: That's a pretty logical explanation, but I still don't like it. Nice explanation, though. It made me like the design more, but still not as Wotter's final evo.

Pure Power Torchik
This is Medicham on crack and is Ubers worthy. Bad idea.
Arena Trap Mudkip
Are YOU on crack?!
Drought Turtwig
Uh..... won't Turtwig die?

I highly doubt Tsutarja's evo is Grass/Dragon. To me, it just looks like a pure Grass type, possibly Poison. Pokabu's evo looks like Fire/Dark or Fire/Fight (please no more of this) and Mijumaru's evo looks like Water/Fight.

I like Mijumaru's evo quite a lot, but judging from its looks, its speed sucks, yet it also looks like a sweeper. Same with Pokabu's evo.

Here are my guesses for the stat spreads:

Smuglord: 70/82/72/118/81/107

Pig: 120/112/68/84/76/70

Wotterwhal: 95/106/74/77/103/75

GF tends to give the starters some odd spreads, so I didn't go for the standard 0's and 5's.

talkin' about secondary types: Wasn't Tsutarja showed to use a Poison move called Coil or something? Doesn't that make sense?
Just because a Pokemon has a move of another typing doesn't mean it will become the typing of that move.
Especially since it probably gets Coil because it is a snake and they (surprise!) coil up. I don't know why Coil would be poison type but eh

It would be like saying Yanappu will become a flying type because of Acrobat. Or that Trapinch will become dark type due to knowing Faint Attack. Or that Venonat's variety of Psychic moves will mean it becomes psychic type upon evolving.
