something makes me say these are either plain wrong, translated wrong, or serebii made a mistake.
i noticed swellow with scrappy and i said cool!
but then i noticed it showed it with 50 base speed?
now either he also showed the base stat changes too without realizing it, or these are translated wrong
i dont remember him mentioning anywhere about old pokes base stats changing
a few others are also wrong/changed (not sure)

lol i dont remember milotic having base 125 speed and altaria with 105 base speed either

so who knows really
any thoughts?

I think it's just a stat error because this happened on the New Pokemon page as well. He'll fix it soon.

Doesn't seem like as much a nerf as a choice.

Dream World abilities or egg moves?
 
Since the Dream World is part of that Global Link website thingy, I wonder if IVs will be generated by the game or Nintendo's servers? I guess if the Pokewalker is anything to go by, it'd be the game but who knows?

Drizzle/Drought will be an interesting suspect test in the future. Especially since they were found to be broken in Gen 3.

ya i did notice they are the right stats, just in different places
i did like some of those stat changes though haha

and lol at luvdisk getting hydration as well, but somehow is not a prevo of that mamanbou guy LOL
 
whats with the water/ghost guy getting damp?
itd only really help in doubles i guess, but not at all in singles lol

and the fire/ghost chandelier guy i was hoping would stay out of ubers
i mean, we werent really sure cause we dont know how the metagame is going to be, but with shadow tag, unless its changed, i think it will most definetly be uber..
 
This concerns me as well, do you have to have a DSi to access the Dream World? I really don't want one...

Then again it won't matter at all on Shoddy which is probably where we'll be doing most of our battling.

I don't beleive so, i think just so long as you can connect to the internet you can transfer to dream world. I

beleive that the DSi comment was made in reference to the fact that it was the first model compatable with WPA security settings, a setting that many have their internet on.
 
As far as IVs are concerned, I believe that pokemon you befriend in the Dream World actually have to be caught in-game - perhaps that sets their IVs then?
 
Erufuun (60/67/85/77/75/116) and Jaroda (75/75/95/75/95/113) with Growth and Sleep Powder (common on Grass Types) might make them a good sweeper, since they could Growth up, put their counters to Sleep, and Growth more. 116 and 113 Speed is very good, and after one or 2 Growths and a Life Orb, they might actually sweep.

But yeah, that's a lot of Theorymoning.
 
Howabout the bull with reckless and afro break? Assuming afro break is a normal typed head smash, it could be really powerfull. Low tier OU or BL for sure.
 
This gen looks really offensive. Drough/Drizzle, Sand throw/power, base 140+ atk sweepers (im really liking the look of 140atk/110 speed fossil bird. poor aero though (unless he gets headsmash/bravebird). And whats with the 180 bp physical fire atk?

It depends on how much you have to do in the Dream World. If the battles are the same as in the cartriges, they're going to have to generate the IVs in the Dream World itself. I don't think the Pokewalker generated much data at all and nearly everything (level up, generating IVs, abilities, etc) was all handled in the cartrige.

I have a feeling that stall is going to die, or atleast be used a whole lot less. Gen 5 is bringing a whole lot of powerful attackers, although, there are still some powerful defenders, so I don't think that alone will kill stall. The new moves and items will be its demise.

There's a new Psychic move that uses the users SpAtk and the opponent's Def that seems to be on a lot of Psychic types, meaning Blissey will no longer be able to wall them. There's a Fighting move that does the same thing, but no Pokemon seems to get it, atm.

Swim Goggles allows any Water Pokemon with Trick the ability to instantly put the opponent to sleep, meaning you could easily be down a Pokemon if you predict incorectly, and that is usually were a stall team starts to fall. The other item allows a Pokemon to hit other Pokemon who normally have an immunity to their attacks in the same way Scrappy works. This means that any Rapid Spinner can easily blow away entry hazards that are the main focus of stall teams. Rapid Spin is still a weak attack, which lets Pokemon switch in for free, but that doesn't help stall teams much because defensive Pokemon aren't as devestating once they get in.

There is some hope for them, since the Preevolution Stone gives a Def and SpDef boost, but there aren't a whole lot of Pokemon that can become better than their evos with it and many would rather just go with Leftovers.
