Pokemon Combination Discussion

I don't think Claydol will be a huge problem for Rampardos.

Erm... so Claydol isn't used by a lot of people on the teams on the RMT. What's your point? We're talking about a specific team, and how it would handle a Rampardos, because Lemmiwinks identified Rampardos as a major risk to the team that Maestro was building up - Claydol successfully handles Rampardos, and thus can earn its place on the team - and its ability to handle spikes/SR increases its capability.

Excellent point. Just because a pokemon isn't OU does not mean it is banned, which is why it ticks me off a little when people criticize me for mentioning an UU/BL Pokemon that can take out their whole team singlehandedly. Take the Electivire-centred team for example. If I were to use my Kingdra to 6-0 that team, the user cannot just turn around and say 'Hey,that isn't standard! You cheated!'. You simply cannot afford to have a single glaring weakness on a team.

If rampardos is such a threat then throw something with fake out onto the team, like hariyama. Fake out to nullify the focus sash and then kill. Or if your worried about taking him down once hes already set up you could also go with one of the many quick attack clones present this gen.

But seriously you can't have so many ground weaks on the same team, earthquakes the most used physical attack out there. And simply using zapdos to counter that weakness is not enough as both T-Tar and landshark have no problem settin up against it to take out your whole team.
