Pokemon Generations: Anime shorts series featuring game highlights from all generations

Those were pretty subtle episodes, all things considered. More talking than before, and a lot less action. I guess these two rank much lower in terms of budget than, say, episode 4. People standing still, Pokémon standing still, few scene changes, and little motion.

Suicune's famed duality also strikes again. Its mane is flowing out behind it, as if the wind blows in its face. Its tails are flowing out along its sides, as if the wind is coming from behind.

...now, all I can think of is how ridiculous Suicune would look if it didn't have its own wind-system. Imagine how that mane and tails would look if the wind blew from the side, for instance...

Even Pokemon Generations thinks the three legendary cats are dogs...

Why did that one guy throw a rock at the Pokemon again?

The episodes were meh to bad to me. Suicune just happened to appear just for the sake of appearing I feel and the episode with Silver and Giovanni's motivation for leaving Team Rocket was kinda contradictory.

Really not digging Tabitha's or Courtney's voices at all tbh. Tabitha's doesn't sound like a 27 year old, and Courtney's voice especially doesn't match the near-emotionless girl she's supposed to be.

Love that they brought back the Leaf Storm Drop slam from Pokken over to this adaption

Tabitha sounded fine to me oddly, but I agree that Courtney seems to be horrible miscast/directed.

Maxie's face also looks weird to me.

Wait, did IGN give previews for Episodes 2-6 (not including 1 because trailer was like half of it)? If not, why is Epi 7 getting a preview, mabye it s a bigger episode?

Voices were fine...nothing great, but they were manageable. Also since its Team Magma mabye Episode 7 won't just be talking? Hopefully so.

The full episode is out. The lack of animation quality is really showing here. There are so many shots where characters are standing too awkwardly still, and other things like the way that Courtney threw her Pokeball look very weak. The Primal Groudon awakening was amazing though; it's clear where the animation budget went for this episode.

I think they did a great job in showing off Courtney's crazy persona. She came off as a robot in OR, but here, they fleshed out her character and actually showed us that she's just mentally unstable. Maxie telling Courtney to stay behind was also a nice touch to his character.

I kind of wished that they used AS instead of OR, because they could've then focused on Shelly and Archie's connection to Jirachi, but this was also nice.

0:19: If only this was Team Aqua, I could then joke that they animated this part of my Alpha Sapphire playthrough. :P Also yeah for showing the player character DOING something!
0:36: Doesn't the submarine plan seem more like a Team Aqua thing?
1:16: They really didn't get Courtney's character, did they? She's suppose to be emotionless (though slowly going a bit crazy due to the player) and speak in a robotic (and unhinged) way.
2:17: "So pretty, the red siren"... they REALLY didn't get her character.
2:47: Everyone on that island, dead.
2:53: All dead... oh, wait, it was a vision? So she was trying to envision how better Team Magma's world would be, but ended up envisionin Groudon causing mass destruction and killing everyone. Unless Courtney is psychic, she fails at imagining things.
3:05: Wait, it WAS a vision?... who is this character and where is Courtney?
3:56: Now the dialgoue she said here is almost line for line from the game... but it just didn't sound right. Am I the one who has been wrong, is this how we were suppose to read her character?

I have to give this episode a thumbs down. It did nothing. It didn't give us any new insight about what characters were doing or something about them (actually I question whether they even got the right interpretation of the character for this part). At one point it was pretty much just playing out a part of the game which, while neat, isn't what I want from this series. You know I was really excited when they first revealed this mini-series... but it felt like things have been going down since the first episode which I till have listed as number one! Come on, get it together!

1. The Chase
2. The Challenger
3. The Lake of Rage
4. The Legacy
5. The Reawakening
6. The Adventure
7. The Vision

"Leader Maxie, sir" ~ Everyone ever.

This episode was very meh. What was the point? We never reached any resolution at all, unlike other episodes where there was at least some sort of conclusion. Red Sirens are pretty. There's this vision of Groudon-Primal completely annihilating...everything. I think there would've been a lot more potential in Team Aqua rather than Magma. Team Aqua actually makes sense to use a submarine and water, and I feel Archie had a better character than Maxie, as well as the Team Aqua Admins. This episode was also completely inferior to The Lake of Rage. Both are very similar, featuring the evil team, but The Lake of Rage actually showcases the evil team and their location much better. This is probably the second worst episode yet, behind The Adventure because that was a pointless montage.

I just watched all the Pokemon generations episodes. I thought they were pretty solid, showing a deeper level of pokemon and not including Ash in an animated portrayal was great (I know it's not the first time). Contrary to what people are saying, I really liked 'The Vision'. I thought it was a good portrayal of team Magma. Yeah, Courtney's voice was a little ~strange~, but it really just made her seem creepier or more insane, which I'm fine with. Primal Groudon looks like the true beast that he is, not some tiny ass 16 foot punk that the Pokedex refers to him as. Also, Sceptile for the win. The way the series depicts battles between grunts and actually good trainers is perfect.

What's with all these disappointment towards Courtney here?
Is Pokemon failing to entertain Western audiences again?

The Asians are really happy about Courtney in this episode.
Everyone's talking about how good Courtney is.

That episode was definitely my least favourite of the series, it didn't seem to flesh out anything of the characters involved. I'm sure the only things people will remember are the Sceptile/Groudon scenes.

I think the disappointment about Courtney stems from people not -really- understanding what she's like. She's less Rei Ayanami and more Yuno Gasai.

Just looked at Bulbapedia just to see if ORAS Courtney's character was like how she was portrayed. Her quotes have a lot of musical notes in them. Definitely not robotic at all.

I really don't get how people say Courtney's personality was off. Anyone who played the games could tell she had traces of emotion through her use of "~" near the end of her sentences. She even laughs mischievously before fighting the trainer sometimes, and has shown to be sad or angry.

"As anticipated. Unanticipated. You. Target lock...completed. Commencing...experiment. You. Forever. Aha... ♪"
"...Again? That's unanticipated. ...I knew it. You...are interesting! ...Haha. ♪"

"...Ha ha. ♪ Ahahaha! ♪ Ahahahaha haha! ♪ ♪ ♪ Ahahahaha hahahahahahaha! ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ... My team...The team I put all hope into...Leader Maxie...was broken. He was broken! He was broken by this brat! Grr...Shut up! Enough! I've have enough of this world!"

She's robotic and a bit unhinged, to be sure, I'd put it closer to someone like Nu-13 from Blazblue than say...the pokedex
