Pokemon Platinum - The definitive thread: Mach 2 (In-Game Discussion)

Hey, um.. How do I fix the graphics on no$gba? If I'm not allowed to ask this then say so and I'll delete it.

Heres what I mean:

I'm working on trading basic forms of the new Sinnoh Pokedex Pokemon into Platinum to see where they show up in the Pokedex. At the very least, we know where to start looking for them. There's a couple of Pokemon that are gifts, so that helps matters.

Gligar: Route 206
Nosepass: Mt. Coronet
Ralts: Routes 208/209, 212 (North part in daytime only, not sure if it's in the Trophy Garden or on the route proper)
Lickitung: Route 215
Eevee: See Bebe in Hearthome City
Swablu: Route 210 (fog area)
Togepi: Given by Cynthia in Eterna City
Houndour: Route 214 and the Valor Lakefront
Magnemite: Route 222, Fuego Ironworks
Tangela, Yanma, Tropius: Great Marsh (no Tropius at night, it glows red in the Pokedex at night only so that's my suspicion. Or it's a swarm only then.)
Rhyhorn: Route 214, Victory Road, 227 and Stark Mountain
Duskull: Route 209 and Lost Tower
Porygon: Given in Veilstone City
Scyther: Route 210 (both parts) and 215
Electabuzz: Route 222
Magmar: Fuego Ironworks
Swinub: Route 217, Acuity Lakefront
Snorunt: Route 216, 217, Acuity Lakefront
Absol: Mt. Coronet (not sure what part)
 
Interesting, it seems Route 212's Move Tutor tells you the moves your pokémon can learn, and only then you choose the one you want. But I easily get lost reading Japanese (and I don't know the original names anyways), so it's no use to me >_>

Could anyone give me a list of all the Tutor Moves, in the exact order they are in that board on the Tutor's house?
 
would be handy if someone found out the prices of the tutors, as i was hoping to trade someone some pokes and some shards to get moves for me ;P



Trick, magnet rise, superpower, knock off are all ones i'd like to know
 
So, I send a Fridgetom to D/P, it gets back to Weaktom. I send it back to Platinum, and--

Wait, I didn't understand a thing he said. What would happen?

Alienjesus: The most expensive one I've seen for now is 8 shards.
 
I'm coming up on Pastoria (and I have my Scizor with Heart Scale transfered ^_^), so I'll be nearing the move tutor on 212 soon. I'll check a few Pokemon. Any clue yet how much they cost? I might need to grind in the underground for a long while.

Mars and Cyrus are still relevant to the game, imo. Ability Tutors? :D

It goes back to "weaktom" when you enter the union room. He did not "really" trade. He did something that is not normal to the game. When you send it back it is still the regular rotom. You must use the item to transform it again, just like for shaymin and giratina.
 
Cool, you can actually catch Zapdos in game instead of fucking pal parking it. But, why only mesprit? Why are Azelf and Uxie excluded?

The other pixies are still where they were. Cresselia and Mespirit are the only running ones (plus the birds).

You seem to be looking in the roaming legends section. Azelf and Uxie are in their caves as always.

EDIT: lol beaten. Any news on Palkia/Dialga's orbs?

hrc: Hmm, so let me see if I got it right:

I wanna trade Fridgetom to D/P;
Once I get in the Union Room, it becomes Weaktom;
It arrives in D/P as a Weaktom;
I send it back to Platinum;
It arrives in Platinum as a Weaktom;
If I use the Secret Key again...

What does happen: a) It automatically becomes Fridgetom, as the game memorized it somehow, or b) I can actually transform it into a Cut, Fan, or Whatevertom if I want to?
 
Sorry, I meant why is Mesprit the only one not in his cave...
also, Regigigas is at level 1 in the wild =/ Nintendo really hates Regigigas.
 
Wtf why did they make all the Rotom forms Ghost/Electric. There is no point to that, now they all outclass the original Rotom and the only difference between them is a couple moves with no STAB.

This is really disappointing.

That's the main reason I think people are getting something wrong in the coding. I mean, what the point of making Rotom a Washing Machine pokémon which learns Hydro Pump... And not giving it Water type?

I think we'll really know the answer on in the September 28th.

He said it should change back to fridgetom, in other words it permanently transforms and you can't avoid it by trading it to d/p to turn it back into regular rotom

I don't know he does not have the item. He got them by an alternative method which is not normal but strangely enough allows you to trade the rotom forms from D/P into platinum (somehow, I can explain it later when I understand it).

Like I speculated before what I think happens is that you can transform in between the different form and the special move will change. But that is just speculation.

Mesprit is in the cave at first, it runs when you talk to it, just like in DP.

Also lol at Lv1 Regifail. Tied with Manaphy for lowest level legendary lol.

I don't know what it is, but I'm pretty relieved right now. Looks like the normal method still works as I expected.


By the way, I think I got an AR code for infinite shards. Now if only I could have a code for having all the pokémon in the boxes >_>
