The "I'm not sure" was about being new forms of Rotom. That's pretty obvious that he couldn't tell anything else. I think he pretty much got the question and said they're like Origin Giratina and Sky Shaymin... new forms.

The fact Masuda said they're a "surprise" made me think, though... What if they're something that we're not expecting? Like MISSINGNO forms? :D (okay, not that much)

Water Pokémon Master said:
I simply asked, "Are these new Pokemon, or new Pokemon forms?" He wasn't quite understanding what I meant, which is understandable because of our language barrier, so I said, "Giratina has an Origin Forme... Sheimi has a Sky Forme (pointing up)... Deoxys has three forms." He was still confused,
That implies to me that at first he didn't understand what "forms" meant. When he ended up saying "Ohhhh! Yes. New forms.", it was not a reply to the question "Are these new Pokemon, or new Pokemon forms?", but rather a sign of his dawning comprehension of the terminology being used. He did initially say "Speculation is good. It keeps people excited.", so I highly doubt that he would later spill the beans on the silhouettes being alternate forms.

...Lol what? Might be fakes, but at least they're well-done.

what i dont understand is, if he could understand Speculation which is a harder word, im sure he could could understand forms. i think he was just trying to not reveal to much.

i saw those on Serebii forums but it was pretty much proven that they were fake since the source was not found.

Edit: and the fact they used the of what looks like the same scan from where the silhouettes first appeared.

They are probably fakes, as the colors don't match at all, but I seriously laughed out loud looking at them

I actually fell for it when i first glanced at it, but I'd think if they were gonna make alt forms they'd be a little more unique than those

Purple Kecleon strikes again? :o
In years gone by, I remember talking to Melanie a lot.

Anytime she comes up in discussion, it's always uncanny. Sadly, it's almost never positive. She's responsible for the vast majority of Pokemon farces lately, and her sexually themed fanart has landed her some serious ostracization among her former peers.

She's a nice person, though... she just seems to have a penchant for mischief.

It does look a bit like Purple Kecleon's work, but I'd call fake more because they just aren't very good designs. They look like Rotom, but not much like electrical appliances - more like orange blobs than ghosts in fridges, TVs or lamps.

Oh, I agree. Sorry for getting off on a tangent like that... it's just so weird seeing someone you used to know being famous... or infamous.

You think new items will be made available? I'm hoping for the Light Clay of Trick Room.

They've laready confirmed new items with Gladcia's FLower and hinted at new items with the shilouettes. I think it would be easier if they just used the light clay to make Trick Room 3 turns longer.

All the new items would have to be Key Items, though, to prevent crashes in trading with D/P. Or, alternatively, they could just not allow you to be holding certain items when entering into wireless mode, I suppose.

If Origin giratina has these stats
150HP
120AT
100DE
120SA
100SD
90Spe

Does anyone feel like its going to be underused like its alternate forme. Below is the link to the page with the disscusion about what its base stats will be.
http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=40426&page=47

Offensively i just see a weaker dialga, both are bulky but dialga has more attack and the superior typing to boot( although it should be noted the two work well together in covering each others weaknesses). Giratina now gets outrage, but if your running a physical set i think garchomp might do that better with more speed, learning SD and outspeeding palkia so you don't die to scarf versions unlike giratina. It also gets Calm Mind but it still has the same problem of being to slow and 20 more attack doesn't look like it will help much.

Even with all that said, we still don't know its move set and that could make a difference looking at lucario if it didn't learn Extreme Speed.

...Isn't Giratina the 12th most used Uber, thus being one of the "overused" Ubers?

Also, I believe it's going to get either 100 or 120 Base Speed. That and the fact it might also get Dragon Dance, so don't start to diss Giratina so early, we don't even have a full idea of its new movepool.

Even so it has base 90 speed and 120 atk, although not 130/102 like garchomp, it has base 100 df and 150 hp, making it more bulky than garchomp and able to take more hits while outrageing. Not to mention of it gets fireblast it would hit much harder against steels. Even if it doesn't get fire blast, draco metor would still be better than garchomp. Scarf, and it basically beats most pokemon to the punch and wins.

Though assuming he does have the above stats, they aren't confirmed yet.

I don't believe there will be a light clay of TR, as it would mess up trading and such. Emerald had plenty more keyitems than r/s (the key item that opens the team magma hideout south of mt.chimney or whatever its called. It is before lavaridge town.)

No, ubers is very centralized and Giratina only has a weighted use of 261494 compared to kyogres 1052606 rating, yeah thats underused.

like i said in my post a while back, the fact that the speaker from the video said to use a carbos to out speed dialga makes it sound likely that giratina will keep its 90 base speed. Even if it does get Dragon Dance, Rayquaza does DD a lot better. 120 attack and 90 base speed compared to 150 attack and 95 base speed.

Fire Blast is a Tm and Giratina can't learn it. Alternate forms so far have the same TM move pool. Also what steels are you trying to hit, Metagross, Jirachi? i think garchomp is happy with using earthquake.

All that HP is a waste on an offensive giratina, 120 At is pitiful in ubers and when you are weak to the most common attacks in ubers and have a base speed of 90 it makes it harder for giratina to work. Garchomp is fast enough to outspeed deoxys-F with a scarf and can out speed Scarfpalkia which is extremely common now.

If you are using a mixed set or special Draco meteor set, i already said Dialga pretty much outclasses giratina in the offensive side, and dialga also learns Fire Blast.

Man of all the (sometimes childish / fanboyish) desires in this thread, I cannot think of one I want less or would be more terrible for the metagame.

Increase Trick Room by 3 turns? Man, you stop Trick Room by waiting for it to end.

Trick Room is only 4 turns passable for a reason; 7 turns passable would be terrible.

Please Gamefreak, do NOT take user Asma's suggestion.

^ I thought you could stop Trick Room by using a Trick Room of your own?

BTW, AninyMouse suggestion on what Giratina's (Origin Form) base stat is probably spot on in my opinion.

It wouldnt be game breaking and in reality most of the time you only get 3 turns to have fun. So i would still like the item to boost trick rooms time. I also don't see how my suggestion was childish or fanboyish since i bet a lot of people would also like such an item.

Gothic Togekiss: Yes, or by Encoring its use with slower pokemon the next turn or Taunting it beforehand, etc. The point is those are not necessarily practical, and would have to be ubiquitous to actually stop it. Taunt is fairly common, but if you don't have it handy at the moment, you aren't going to need to switch it in, Trick Room will be in play.

Trick Room is held in check because half of its lifespan is spent switching or setting up, leaving 2-3 turns to actually hurt something. Doubling Trick Room's duration is more than just doubling it; it's adding several turns of complete advantage to the opponent while the first couple were spent. I shudder to think of the metagame's reaction to Belly Drum Azumarill...
