Pokemon Showdown bug reports

Pursuit Bug

I found a noticeable bug. The situation is as follows: A faster pokemon predicts its opponent to switch, and uses Pursuit. The other pokemon is slower than it, does not switch, and uses U-Turn. In this situation, pursuit should hit and then the opponent should U-Turn out. Instead, the U-Turning poke gets hit by another boosted -power Pursuit upon switching, in addition to the first, unboosted hit.

In other words, Pursuit catches U-Turners even if it has already been used at normal priority.

I don't know if it was already reported, but a pokemon using Rapid Spin on something with Rocky Helmet / Iron Barbs / both and dying doing so still removes hazards:

Turn 22
Forretress used Rapid Spin!
It's not very effective... The foe's Ferrothorn lost 2% of its health!
Forretress is hurt by the foe's Ferrothorn's Rocky Helmet!
Forretress is hurt by the foe's Ferrothorn's Iron Barbs!
The spikes disappeared from around your team's feet!
The pointed stones disappeared from around your team!
Forretress fainted!
The foe's Ferrothorn used Spikes!
Spikes were scattered all around the feet of your team!
SegFault- sent out Celebi!
Celebi is hurt by the spikes!

According to Iron Barbs description on Smogon it should work differently (took from the link):

This Pokemon will deal damage to the opponent equal to 1/8 of their maximum HP if this Pokemon is hit by a contact move. Stacks with Rocky Helmet. If the holder is hit multiple times by the same move, for example by Tail Slap, then the holder will deal damage on every hit. If the opponent uses any of Bug Bite, Circle Throw, Dragon Tail, Pluck, Rapid Spin, SmellingSalt, or Wake-Up Slap, and then immediately faints due to the damage from Iron Barbs, then the effect of that move will not take place. This is not the case for moves that would inflict status, flinch, or drain HP. The damage dealt is not blocked by Substitute. No effect outside of battle.

shaymin-Land is what it says in the Teambuilder.
It should say Shaymin-Land.
Nothing major, just something I noticed.

Aftermath?

I was just playing a random match with Trubbish in my team. When the opponent(Charmander) used fire blast on my trubbish, it fainted but the Charmander did not suffer any damage as a result. Please look into this matter as it can affect the results of the match greatly. The ability of the trubbish was clearly stated as Aftermath but it did not work. Pls look into this. Thx

When I try to use Mollux, it says that Mollux can't learn Will-O-Wisp.
The movepool list has it as a usable move and it was a TM on the movepool that won.

When pokemon use Outrage if they are asleep they still get confused

I'm going to try explaining this clearly here because Outrage mechanics are fairly odd.

These tests are in-game; 1 is faster for the first test and 2 is faster for the second.

Turn 1, Test 1
1 uses Outrage
2 uses Spore on 1

As moves are selected for Turn 2, the lock is broken and 1 can choose another move.

But, if the Outrage/Thrash/Petal Dance user is in the middle of the move and is put to sleep during a turn before it can use the move, it still tries to use the move although it is asleep and it becomes confused immediately because the game seems to consider the move was completed normally.

Turn 1, Test 2
2 does whatever
1 uses Outrage

Turn 2
2 uses Spore on 1
1 is fast asleep! 1 became confused due to fatigue!

As moves are selected for Turn 3, the lock is broken and 1 can choose another move.

So to sum up; yes the being locked into Outrage while asleep thing is a bug, but it is not completely crazy that you can become confused while asleep either. Hope that made sense!

Raikou with Aura Sphere/Weather Ball/Extremespeed/Zap Cannon must have Rash nature and Shiny sprite to be legal. At moment, it can have any nature and can be non-shiny. Samething goes for Event Suicune and Entei (note: they have different moves, look at links).

The foe's ponyta was badly poisoned!
The sandstorm rages.
The foe's ponyta is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's ponyta was hurt by poison!

after this happened, my opponent got disconnected. I'm not sure if that was just a coincidence or a bug......

In Random Battle, I had both rotom regular form and rotom wash on my team. i'm pretty sure that shouldn't happen because of the species clause, but I'm not sure

The same thing keeps happening, I get disconnected like 45 seconds after I join the server. I have tried other browsers and I am still having the same problem, it seems like I am the only one with this problem.

the strangest thing happened in a battle of mine. Around turn 10, the screen flashed black, and then i saw the battle as if i were my opponent! the attacks were for my mon, but the switch buttons for my opponent's. the chatlog also had the things backward, as did the battle screen.

This happened...

Salamence used Outrage!
The foe's Amoonguss lost 63% of its health!

The foe's Amoonguss used Spore!
Salamence fell asleep!

The foe's Amoonguss restored HP using its Leftovers!

Turn 25

Salamence is fast asleep.

The foe's Amoonguss used Giga Drain!
It's not very effective... Salamence lost 8% of its health!
Salamence had its energy drained!

The foe's Amoonguss restored HP using its Leftovers!

Turn 26

Salamence is fast asleep.

The foe's Amoonguss used Clear Smog!
Salamence lost 23% of its health!
Salamence's stat changes were eliminated!

Salamence's rampage ended!
Salamence became confused!
The foe's Amoonguss restored HP using its Leftovers!

This scenario seems different than the one described by D Marty. D Marty's Pokemon got confused the moment it fell asleep, but Salamence was different. He remained asleep on turn 2 without any problems, and then got confused on turn 3. This may have been because Amoonguss used spore on Salamence after he started using Outrage, but I am not sure. However, this means that the game did treat it like Salamence was continuing to use Outrage, as the confusion evidently was not immedieate. Other evidences of this were that I could not switch out. I do not know if I could switch moves, however, as I was choiced, but I imply that I could only use that move.

The same thing happened again when Amoonguss spored a second time.

Was watching a game and this happened:

Turn 17
The foe's Flygon used U-turn!
It's not very effective... Dragonite lost 11% of its health!
Dragonite fainted!
megatron called Flygon back!
megatron sent out Porygon2!

when i cancel a move and choose another one, the one that i choosed after the cancel works in the next turn, i was using a quagsire in the turn 5 , when i chose scald and canceled it and choose toxic, scald happend in turn 5 and the 6th turn the game automatically chose toxic.

Zoroark's illusion appears for the user as well so they see the illusion sprite and the mouseover text is for the illusion poke instead of zoroark.

that and
say I have Pokemon A and Zorua
Pokemon A gets Tox. Poisoned
Later on I noticed that Zorua (which is imitating Pokemon A via Illusion) is Tox. Poisoned (and takes damage as usual) and Pokemon A has no status problem.

Liepard's DW ability (Prankster) is released. It works fine in teambuilder, but doesnt let use it in battles.
"Your team was rejected for the following reasons: - Liepard's Dream World ability is unreleased."

Edit @ NMx13: They haven't had time to add all the Dream World Abilities as they've been discovered.

OK storytime. I have encountered a very similar problem to Pwnemon and Chimpakt.

It started with me accidentally double clicking the Find Battle. After a bit of lag I was thrown into two battles at the same time. I decided to just leave the second battle since I can't focus on two battles at once, and the other was with a good friend bugmaniacbob. After I clicked the x on the battle window for the second battle (I did not click Leave Battle, though I did click Forfeit when the message box appeared). At first in the battle against bmb I could see all of Riolu's moves and had the suggest draw button and leave battle button. But then the message saying that I have lost a battle appeared on my screen, which must have been for the second battle, and then this happened in my battle against bmb:

m2x4Q.png

As you can see, the message for the second battle against Guest 4485 appears at the bottom of the battle screen, and I suddenly lose all options for Riolu except for the Instant Replay button.

After clicking in and out of the battle by viewing the lobby, teambuilder, etc., the program still refuses to allow me to continue the battle with bmb. According to bmb, he is still able to choose his moves, etc. I also still have the ability to chat in the battle chat.

At this point bmb suggests that I refresh the page. I do not click out of the battle tab and click refresh on my browser (I use Opera). When the program reloads, I encounter this:

XFMVY.png

I am suddenly now seeing the battle from bmb's Pokemon. However, the program still recognizes me and signed me in as Oglemi. I can also chat in the battle as Oglemi. However, I cannot use any moves as bmb, nor can I use any moves as Riolu. I cannot see any of bmb's Pokemon, nor can I see any of Oglemi's Pokemon.

At this point I try refreshing once again, and the same screen appears, only the program logged me out and gives me a Guest # username. I cannot join the chat either, and when I try to change my name to Oglemi by using the top left Change Name button, it doesn't allow me to. I then exit the battle screen by pressing the x.

After waiting for about 20 minutes, I logged onto PS! again, and it now has me signed in as Oglemi.

Quite the glitch if I do say so myself. Twas a fun journey.

EDIT: This glitch occurred at about 1:30 pm Central Time today June 26, there were about 260 people logged into PS! at the time.

I just got the following error:
I used toxic with gastrodon (I did not call it back) and this happened.

Varfor called Gastrodon back!
damo called Kyogre back!

damo sent out Arceus (Arceus-*)!
Error parsing: move | p1: Gastrodon | Toxic | p2: Arceus
(null)@http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/js/battle.js?v0.6.3:3996 ([object Array],[object Object],(void 0))@http://play.pokemonshowdown.com/js/battle.js?v0.6.3:3898
The foe's Arceus was badly poisoned!
The foe's Arceus was hurt by poison!

When it said that I called it back, Gastrodon's sprite disappeared. The next turn I was able to send in a different pokemon, but it also still gave me the choice of attacking with Gastrodon.

I'm not sure if it is a bug, but my Forretress was OHKO'd by a fusion flare from a Kyurim-white. I have read the mechanics to Turboblaze, and it doesn't say it negates the ability sturdy, so I'm assuming it was a bug that let it do so.
