May RNGesus have mercy on us all.

The only things I've got going for me are that I managed to pull out top 100 runs on both the Gyarados and Alakazam competitions, and I'll be able to grind Psychics in the escalation next week.

I seriously regret skill swapping my level 14 mew to block smash+. I get the unpleasant feeling that Po4+ would've been better...
Arceus, between this competition and Keldeo-multiple-complexity-eb, we're all going to be dirt poor this week...

I just hope Keldeo doesn't turn out to be as obnoxious as Diance Escalation was. I spent more coins on that than I think I should have simply because the terrible selection of Abilities on SE mons cost me a lot of attempts to RNG. Keldeo thankfully is better with that, but I also just the 300 stage Escalations for the time they take, which goes two fold since it's less chance to grind Meowth and adds more Boss stages.

Going through the old reddit post for this EB, it looks like multiple complexity runs are required. Hope you've got 90k saved up and/or a jewel...

Reddit Post
Pastebin with Keldeo EB data from last time around (Starts on line #766)

Basically it's a brutal escalation with forced support for boss stages from 150 onwards, though there's similar disruption schedules. There's also some brutal non-boss stages with the 91-99 being a really hard stretch from memory and 296-299 nearly impossible itemless unless you are really good at making 4+ chains. Top it off with Stage 300 which is one of the most brutal EB boss stages we have ever had (3040/round with Moves+5, 3990/round without), and you are going to suffer in order to get to the end. Add to that the Beedrill competition and you have yourself one really expensive couple of weeks.

Good thing I have maxed out my coins after a solid week of Meowth grinding now.

Rewards for the first 150 stages of the Keldeo-R EB:
Level 25: 1000 Coins
Level 30: 1 Mega Speedup
Level 40: 1000 Coins
Level 50: 1 Skill Swapper
Level 60: 1000 Coins
Level 70: 1 Disruption Delay
Level 80: 1 Mega Start
Level 90: 1000 Coins
Level 100: 1 Raise Max Level
Level 150: 1 Mega Speedup

Yeah, somehow, I get the feeling I'm going to be using a jewel for 300. And I will go to 300 regardless of whether the final prizes are msus, RMLS or Giant cookie...
Pretty excited tbh...

Ah, Keldeo...I remember this escalation VERY well. After struggling really badly to complete Darkrai's EB, I swore to myself I'd never finish an escalation again...I obviously changed my mind afew months later when Keldeo came out, since 2 MSU as a final reward were too much to pass up. I've completed all escalations since then, and I'll get all the way to 300 even this time, no matter how expensive it will be.

This reminds me of what was by far the worst moment in my Pokemon Shuffle journey...After beating the 296-299 stretch without much trouble, I was ready to grab my hard-earned MSUs. However, things went horribly on stage 300, and I had to burn not one, but TWO JEWELS to get past it! I felt so dumb at the time, especially since I kept reading of people who could comfortably beat the stage with moves to spare.
I hope to be luckier this time, but I still have very bad feelings about this escalation... T-T

Looks like I'll be trying to reach 50 again then... Skill Swappers are valuable to me. I'm not likely to get much further than that, but Keldeo will be a nice addition to the Water types I have (assuming that it is indeed water and not fighting).

I'm still making my way through the Petra valley, but I might diverge for a bit to get Mega Blastoise from the cards. Some of these stages are pretty tough. Need to go back and catch Steelix at some point, the stage isn't difficult per say, but I need to level Gabite some more (as I missed Garchomp from the Safari). Then I'll have a much easier time of it.

Missing garchomp is a pretty big loss.
And this EB is for Keldeo resolute form which is 60bp fighting type with Po4+. Hope you won the Alakazite /got alakazam ready...

I got the Alakazite. That wasn't too bad. I have the Garchompite, but now need to wait for Garchomp to be available again. I don't remember it spawning when I last plated the safari, must have been a very rare drop. Got everything from this one apart from Whimsicott so that went better than could be expected really.

Big week this time !

Mewtwo - I think grinding level 2 is more than enough (only 3 PSB needed) ! Except if the RML drop rate is higher
Slaking - Didn't try it ! BP 80 with Risk Taker !
Mega Beedrill - Well both the competition (tight rankings) and the stage are hard, Mega Rayquaza doesn't seem to be the best option. Mega Alakazam : not enough rocks / blocks. Mega Mewtwo or Mega Slowbro could do the job !
Keldeo R EB - Currently level 10 ... Nothing exciting atm. Level 150 is mandatory for everyone I guess ... After, that's a lot of coins for 2 MSU, 1 RML and 1 SS !
Daily#2 is back !

Good luck everyone ;)

Did like seven attempts at Mega Beedrill, three with MMY, four with Mega Slowbro. Being able to break through that disruption with Slowbro is nice, but MMY is more consistent overall. My best was just under 75k with MMY. It won't be top tier, it may not even be tier two, but again it's going to be the most annoying thing ever to grind against so I am going to go into Keldeo-R and see where we go. Not sold on going for 300 at the moment so I am aiming for 200 to 250. Besides, I pretty much have everything that is worth a Speedup Speedup'd save Mega Garchomp. Hooray for wasting coins on a stupid competition~

The post 150 rewards:
Code:
175 Exp Booster M
200 Skill Swapper
225 Skill Booster S
250 2x Raise Max Level
275 2x Skill Booster S
300 2x Mega Speedup

This is kinda painful. I need 3 Speedups to max Mewtwo for the competition, but I have to run the table before Sunday essentially.

Got a score of 72.9k at beedrill. Think I'll stick with mega rayquaza for the next run; no point banking on RNGesus to come through...

Random > Mega Beedrill can evolve in one match if fully candied, that could be useful ;)
3 icons sound nice, but the one tap removal is a 3×3 square removal which is not as conducive for making combinations relative to Tyranitar's + removals. Good for disruptions and whatnot, but long term, Mega Bee is going to pale in comparison to most other choices (even for fairies), even the super triad (Gengar, Rayquaza, Tyranitar) when they are neutral / NVE. Simply put, Beedrill is okay in the short term, but I can't see it being really effective in stages in the long term outside of timed stages of course.

Which is a shame since we still have no really good SE mega against fairies. Mawile will forever have low BP and will never get RML's and/or Skill Swappers, Steelix is a niche mega, and Beedrill looks like being super inconsistent. Mega Metagross will probably be shoehorned into an X-Clear effect (Because it has a big X on its face, get it?) which is not a great clear if my experience with Mega Charizard X the useless told me anything, so that leaves Mega Aggron which I could see getting an event in the next month or two coupled with a Heatran Special stage (odds are Heatran will be for Mega Pinsir though). But that's conjecture.

Also learning pretty fast how badly time has weathered Mega Slowbro going through Keldeo-R. Population-based means its a dud during the many occasions where there are little on the field, always tends to conglomerate up the top rows where it's less effective in dealing with disruptions. Failing to beat Keldeo-R Lv30 itemless with it and it struggles to get through the high 20's itemless while still winning. And this is with full RML's, full Speedup investment, and SL3 Barrier Bash. It's probably my ticket to change to ditch it for MMY for most of these stages.

Maybe you're right for Mega Beedrill ... I had to finish to candy Mega Tar first also.
Currently level 68 ... Nothing exciting so far (except one loss against level 30 who was VERY hard for an early boss stage and one stage with 2 full rows with rocks I was sleepy doing this one xD)

And please, let Metagross not be a Mega Charizard X :(

Thank you for your research!
My slowbro has 2 msu and I was wondering if I should invest in it a little more, but you've convinced me not to.
Anyways, I did 100 with Au+Ms and 150 with C1+Au. Christ, this is an expensive week. I have 68k left, and I need to do 200, 250, 290+ and 300 all of which will require items and do the competition again and again till I get the first tier prize....

Edit cuz this thread is slow and I don't want to double post:
Right, so EB 300 is done and I spent 77.3k cash on it holy fuck..
And, it took 4 full item runs to get this score for beedrill. GS must feel so proud, this competition requires multiple full item runs AND discourages the use of Mega rayquaza...

Congratulations for completing the escalation so quickly! May I ask you what team you used to beat stage 300? Last time I had to waste 2 jewels to finish it, and I don't want to repeat the experience...

Yesterday I took a break from Keldeo (I'm at stage 240 now) and did 3 attempts at Mega Beedrill. The team was MMY (5/5), Landorus-T (SL4), Deoxys and Slowbro (Lv10). The best score was slightly less than 70k, which I fear won't be enough to ensure a place in the second tier. Is there anything I can do to improve my score, other than relying on sheer luck? :P

For 300, a full item run with mega mewtwo, cresselia, Uxie and filler. Choose between Azelf for double status, victini/xerneas/mew(15) for power or deoxy for a Disruption clearer.

I rather stupidly forgot to bring Uxie, and was kicking myself for the whole stage, but won with 6 moves left, so I think you'll be safe as long as your teams powerful enough...

And as for Beedrill, unfortunately, praying to RNGesus is all you can do. My score of 85k has a real risk of being kicked out of the top tier as many people are attempting the stage again and again thank to Weekend Meowth. Try again if you've got the cash and guts...

I spent >85k to clear Keldeo, and the savings from only needing a M+5 on 296-299 were countered by the game locking up after I went back from Miiverse after posting about how I beat 300. Had to do it twice. Ugh. (4/5 Mewtwo Y, Creselia, Deoxys, Uxie).

82,290 on MBeedrill which is about to drop out of the top tier, so I'm grinding back (was down to 399 after that) and should have enough for one more run.
