Quite the opposite for me, indeed. I think I never had such a huge amount of 5-stage skips since when angry mode was introduced. Right now, I'm playing stage 214 (209+5), which is not bad considering I only play with regenerating hearts. As usual, it's just a matter of luck.

If someone needs suggestions about boss stages, this is what I used so far:

50: M-Absol, Hoopa-U, Weavile, Jellicen / Itemless / 2 moves left.
100: M-Absol, Hoopa-U, Hoopa-C, Giratina-A / AP+, M+5 / 3 moves left.
150: M-Rayquaza, Hoopa-U, Yveltal, Giratina-A / DD, M+5 / 3 moves left.
200: M-Gengar, Yveltal, Zoroark / C-1, AP+, DD, M+5 / 14 moves left.

Pokemon details:
All Megas fully candied
Hoopa-U: SL3
Hoopa-C: SL2
Zoroark: Lv13, SL2
Yveltal: Lv15, BS+ SL2

I had very bad luck on levels 100 and 150, with decent RNG M+5 is probably not necessary. Lv 200 doesn't require it too, but risking a loss just to save 800 coins would be very unwise...

EDIT: Another skip! 218+5!!! Where is all this luck coming from? XD

Completed the EB on Friday. The entire EB went mostly smooth thanks to Mega Tyranitar with one sole exception:I lost at stage 100...
Got 31 angry modes total, which was amazing!
Was left with 23k coins at the end but I've crawled back up to 46k AND I still have the 5k gift and 30 free hearts left! Think I'll make it to 70k for this Tuesday, so fingers crossed for a massive update!
 
For me, I completed the EB earlier today. Only spent 35,900 coins total (3,000 on 100, 12,800 on 200, 7,300 on 250, 14,300 + 1 Jewel on 300 because I suck). Skipped 116 stages in total and failed 8 times (50, 150×3, 270+5, 273+3, 291, 292). Used Tyranitar as the mega all the way but supports varied. 1-199 and 201-249 I used Zoroark/Yveltal/Hoopa-U. For 200 and 300 I used Zoroark/Hoopa-U. For 250 I used Sableye/Yveltal/Hoopa-U. For 251-299 I used Kingdra/Sableye/Hoopa-U (Whirlpool's reliable activation rates the main reason for Kingdra). Really enjoyable, smooth EB for me which had an unfortunately disappointing end. Now paying Dusknoir a visit for at least SL3 LDE.

Also get excited peeps, we are getting more Winking Daily Pokémon starting Tuesday (Sleepychu, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Castform)! No idea if it's just one week or if they are giving us a second week though.
 
Any tips for level 260+ ?
Until then everything was easy ... and now, it seems impossible, too many ice/blocks and SS Yveltal/ Hoopa-C can't always deal with it ... Giratina and Mega Gengar rounds the team

Consider swapping Megas to Absol or Boosted Tyranitar. Gengar's main help is starting combos, which doesn't play well with how disruptions get spammed.
 
Mega Gengar can clear the back end of the 250-299 stretch itemless, but you have to support it with anti-disruption tech such as Absol and Kingdra because once Giratina disrupts, you lose. As simple as that. I say this having cleared the 290's with Mega Gengar/Kingdra strats the last time this EB came around (Used Kingdra this time around as well, but with Mega Tyranitar).

Also hit my goal for Dusknoir early enough that I am now aiming for SL4 LDE. Wasn't a bad idea as I got an RML drop two hearts later, but i'm just hoping I get enough PSB drops for SL4 before time is up hahaha.

At a quick scan and reading some datamines

So, lot of big winners on the RML front, lot of new Risk Taker users, some of which have farmable stages ongoing right now and good types to use it with. I definitely would prioritize Mawile to give us a good Fairy option that can deal with Disruptions, and 5 RMLs (reasonable level before extreme grinding) gives you a Base 100 Steel with Risk Taker, still a good support if you use Bee or it's a Steelix stage.

Updated the above post with everything bar the full exhaustive list of EB prizes (Ones not mentioned in event text). Called it wrt Mega Metagross. Disappointed that Poison-types got nothing, because Mega Spooky Gengar really needed good support... :|

So many RML/SS, I don't know what to do ... Mewtwo is a good candidate for RML I guess ... ?

Regarding RMLS, wait for a few days. A comprehensive list will be made over at Reddit for the enhancement.
Also, remember, level 20 is a luxury not a necessity. Try to invest in all the good options before committing to feeding something 10 RMLS
 
Ugh... drained myself on the competition and ended up just outside tier 1 in NA 3DS. Reaaaaaaaaaaaaally could've used that extra RML and MS right now.

Giratina didn't help matters, hopefully Meloetta is shorter than normal. Thankfully, next week's competition doubled the top tier (at least for me and Europe) so I don't have to figure out how to super-max Machamp.

I know I know, I have plenty of RML right now ... And I don't care grinding Experience (I never farm PSB because it's boring to MAYBE have a PSB but I can grind every min of my life on Ampharos/Meowth :D)

21 Hearts and only Spinda, Cherubi and Cherrim. No Carvanha line (already caught), No Sunkern line too ... Is it rigged ? :(
 
I've spent the entire day in the safari. I only needed the sunkern family, and I have not run into a single sunkern...

?___? Mega mawile bruh. 115bp with risk taker pre evo. xd.

If not mawile and/or you don't have 10RML/7MSU then you can use perfectly fine alternatives such as

Garchomp/rayquaza for rock.
Beedrill/spoopgar/rayquaza for fairy

and that's it. Steel being ass overall doesn't help but mawile being significantly buffed helps it quite alot.

Wish granted, however this short escalation will have a fuckton of MSU and almost no RML. Also boss stages every 25 levels instead of 50 so you get 8 boss levels in a 200 stage escalation as opposed to 6 in a 300 stage escalation. yw

Warning for Sunkern: It starts with some staggered Sunkern in the board behind barriers and an easy option for a 4-match. The idea is clearly to use Sunkern's own Eject++ to remove them all if you wanna finish with moves for capture rate, because blocks in the skyfall ruin combo potential.
 
Grinding Machamp. SL 3.5. Hope I can make it to 4 since I need to study for my finals and I'm planning on putting away my phone for a while(I have a serious cellphone /Internet addiction)
 
FInally finished Giratina EB ! God that was a coin sink in the last levels ... I'm totally broke, there is Machamp to farm + Meowth and next week is full of events (new EB with a lot of boss stages)

There's also the safari with sunkern and sunflora added to it, and the brand new daily winking shit. Have you done those?
 
A question for those who are grinding Risk-Taker Machamp: is it me, or the drop rate is really horrible? After two days of PSB farming I'm just at SL 3,2. I think I'm averaging 1 PSB every 5 hearts, maybe even less. I wonder if I should stop here and start grinding coins for next week's EB, I'm only at 40k coins now and I usually try to start EBs with at least 80k...
