I'd argue getting to level 100 is more relevant now because of Hyper Training. I also feel my Pokémon aren't fully trained until they are level 100, but I'm kinda weird that way.

It will be necessary if you want to implement Bottle Caps, though.
... right, forgot about it.

But I still think the Caps will only be useful to create good parents. Unless the Destiny Knot no longer does what it did in Gen VI (unlikely), penta or hexaflawless babies will be more important.

Hmm...so since we know the stats of both regular Wishiwashi and its School form at the same level/IVs/EVs, couldn't we figure out the base stat difference?
I did some rough calculations comparing normal form to school form assuming 31 IV 0 EV and neutral nature and I got: 0 HP/+133 Atk/+109 Def/+103 SpA/+110 SpD/-10 Spe for about +445 BST. Probably off by a bit but yeah, School Form is vastly more powerful to Wishiwashi who looks to have super low BST.

I'm not angry over Decidueye being slow (though it's disappointing)

I'm angry because it's yet another poorly thought out "mixed attacker." Mixed attackers rarely ever work, especially if they're slow. I will never understand GF's fetish for creating them.

Hopefully it's deliberately slow because it's hidden ability is Speed boost or something.

That may, in turn, depend on how easy it is to get the various grades of Bottle Caps. I doubt people are going to consign themselves to egg grinding again when a less luck-oriented way to do the routine exists (yes, even the Destiny Knot is somewhat luck-oriented).

Maybe GameFreak just isn't as Spike-oriented as you are? I can understand an aversion to making everything a physical or special specialist, though; could easily get boring from the artist's point of view. Are specialists the ONLY thing that can do well in competition, Pokemon or otherwise? I've yet to see causal evidence of that. (Empirical evidence? I don't see how that can get a probability to 0 or 1...)

Gamefreak makes mixed attackers because kids don't get the whole physical/special thing so they're easier to use. It's why starters in particular tend to have well rounded stats.

What's really inexcusable is them fucking Lurantis up. I mean come on, you make another mono-grass physical attacker with a bad ability and then give it shitmon stats too. What a waste, won't even be particularly good in game.

Now that I think of it, I can see an advantage of a mixed attacker--not having to switch when a particular kind of wall pops in. Just switch from physical/special to special/physical and keep firing away...(Of course, this is without considering type-matching.)

I have no issues with mixed attackers. Actually, if with good stats, they can be difficult to deal with due to being more unpredictable. Take for example Mega Diancie and Infernape from the old generations.

Besides, we don't even know the Pokémon's movepools, so we can't say for sure how well they will perform. Heck, as far as we know, Decidueye could obtain a pseudo-Shift Gear, Agility or something to compensate for its low Speed.

However, while people complain about the slow owl, I'm actually happy that Incineroar may actually become a speedy powerhouse.

Hmm I really hope that Decidueye has a HA that makes him useful in any way, either something that makes up for his speed or strengthen his bulk/supporting potential?

It actually could work as a Mixed attacker if the Speed was good. It just cannot really function with below 70 Speed and mediocre attacking stats as an offensive mon. It won't function very well defensively either since we all saw what happened to both Gourgeist and Trevenant.

Also, not much related to all these leaks but a TCG box confirmed that Lunala and Solgaleo do evolve from the Star Orb thingy (And as you can see Cosmog as a "Core" of that star, it most likely evolves from Cosmog)

Nn, the trick is that Decidueye would still have to expend a turn buffing itself. That grants a little tempo window to the opposition, I think. (Did I mention Weavile?)

I think a lot of people were extrapolating from Spirit Shackle and anticipating some sort of as-yet-unseen powerhouse.

Full Model for Shiinotic (Morelull's evo):

yep, still just as acreepy as the pokedex thumbnail implied.
It's nice that they just put the male & female on the same listing, I can't remember if they did that in gen 6. Sure was annoying in gen 4 & 5 though

Spirit Shackle wasn't even an exceptional move. It's better than mean look for sure, but some people were acting as though it was basically shadow tag.

*whistles* Yeah, damn, that's...I mean, it's slow as fuck but still.

Ok, Just a quick reminder about the no competitive talk here, alright? Even with stats of the pokemon themselves, we can't tell where any pokemon will end up, especially in a meta where any pokemon could be carrying a secret nuke button. Seriously, You're telling me that someone isn't going to go sniping someone with a 180 power ghost STAB move... >.>

Not if he isn't even going to get a chance to use it.

I know I don't have much experience with competitive, but by what metric is 105 "mediocre"?! Taking all final-stage pokemon together, I'm pretty sure that 105 is above-average. (...Competitive Pokemon had better not be an example of Rocket Tag Gameplay...) If 105 is "mediocre", how many pokemon (that aren't mythical or legendary) classify as high-grade? 20?

Although what you said about not functioning well defensively...to be sure, do you mean the type by itself (five weaknesses IS bothersome, to be sure), or in combination with its stats (including its somewhat-worrisome Physical Defense)?
