For what its worth, Spirit Shackle is still the best special ghost type move in the game. It has the same power as Shadow Ball, but also has the added effect of trapping which can be useful in a myriad of situation as Magma Storm heatran has shown us.Spirit Shackle wasn't even an exceptional move. It's better than mean look for sure, but some people were acting as though it was basically shadow tag.
Both, lol. That typing just doesn't really work defensively.I know I don't have much experience with competitive, but by what metric is 105 "mediocre"?! Taking all final-stage pokemon together, I'm pretty sure that 105 is above-average. (...Competitive Pokemon had better not be an example of Rocket Tag Gameplay...) If 105 is "mediocre", how many pokemon (that aren't mythical or legendary) classify as high-grade? 20?
Although what you said about not functioning well defensively...to be sure, do you mean the type by itself (five weaknesses IS bothersome, to be sure), or in combination with its stats (including its somewhat-worrisome Physical Defense)?
And even mentioning that it's not Ground/Fire?More details on Alolan Dugtrio:

Now that would be a damn fine AbilitySpirit Shackle is physical, though yeah, I do see the utility, but not on something like Decidueye unless it gets Ghastly Wings for ghost move priority.
Maybe GameFreak just isn't as Spike-oriented as you are? I can understand an aversion to making everything a physical or special specialist, though; could easily get boring from the artist's point of view. Are specialists the ONLY thing that can do well in competition, Pokemon or otherwise? I've yet to see causal evidence of that. (Empirical evidence? I don't see how that can get a probability to 0 or 1...)
Is that so...?So, for those wanting context on a certain character:
colress was there for like 3 minutes, he mentioned that Z power was interesting and gave me the TM for flame charge.
Friend ball and heavy ball are arguably the best balls of the bunch. The others.... Not so much...Alright, to answer a question a lot of people have had:
professor not oak has given me some apricorn balls when Ive found him, got moon ball near observatory.
