Pokemon Trainer Gear for the Regionals

Hey everyone! Just felt like showing off my trainer gear from the Video Game Championships in King of Prussia, PA. I didn't get in to the tournament so anyone who's heading to the one on June 13th in Nashville, TN might see me there. The pokeball hanging from my belt was one I got at Burger King many years ago. I made the pokeball and 'TRAINER' patches myself and I custom ordered the dog tags. Red and white silencers, of course. Let me know what you think.

I remember seeing you haha. I remember thinking that you had a cooler outfit than some Ash trainer wannabe that was floating around.

Did your Raichu use its Thunder Wave to paralyse foes in the war? heh this is dedication bro, keep it up ;)

Haha I remember those Burger King Poke balls. I think I had one with a plastic Geodude in it. You must have painted the black line on it though, because I remember mine being strictly red and white.

I don't remember those, but I remember collecting little "Action Figure"-type Gen 1 Pokemon - if anyone remembers those, I believe they came with PokéBalls. I thought I had one that was a Master Ball somewhere, but I did find a Regular PokéBall (it looks like the one Rocker has - it might have been from BK.) If I can find my Mewtwo, I'm putting it in there (if I can't, Gengar's going in.)

damn man, that's really badass.

Yes it is.

Rocker: Where'd you get the jacket?

ahahahaha no way dude, i was registering in Pa and you must have been right behind me cause my mom took a picture of you! she showed it to me and was likie, look this guys official or something like that, hah thats hilarious..

ugh i think its too big, just copy and paste the link, its worth it trust me ;)

Hey, I remeber those pokeballs from BK. Good times, good times. I might just go look to see if i still have mine.

- Yes that is the pokeball from Burger King. I used a paint pen to draw in the black lines.
- I'm wearing a black t-shirt with fitted sleeves. Looks better than loose sleeves.
- I'm also wearing a military vest. You can find them at army/navy stores.
- The pokeball patches were made out of red and white felt.
- I ordered the dog tags from dogtagsdirect.com

- Fightgar, the link you posted was from your computer's hard drive. You're the only one that can see it. lol. Put it online on a site like Photobucket and then link it up that way to share it with the world.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback!

Lol Dude you look completely awesome. I'd feel so ashamed and kiddy if I did something like that. At least it's safe to say you have some big PokeBalls to pull that outfit off. It doesn't look that dorky either, it looks pretty cool. The dogtags are pretty great, I've seen custom one's like that any video game conventions.

Your 2nd picture in the row looks super serious. I could see why most people on here say you look like Lt. Surge. You could pull the Lt. Surge look off. I also remember those old BK pokeballs. I still have those but not the plastic one's anymore, the special one's that came in the boxes with the 24 K Gold plated Pokemon 'cards' in the Pokeballs from about I'd say over roughly 10 years ago.

I still have the Mew action-figure in the clear purple Pokemon Ball. I surprising have all my cards still and organized them not too long ago, and have every card from base set until about the Rocket set. This was when Pokemon the card game was really popular in California, and Charizard was over $300 bucks. Even ice cream trucks sold Booster packs for $7.00+ lol, and you'd see little carts going on the streets with people selling booster packs, so insane. Pokemon made a huge impact on America, and the rest of the World, then all of a sudden the card game died in an instant, the value went down astronomically, but good thing the games are still popular.

I should take some pictures sometime and show everyone what a Pokemon Kid I was back in the day. ^^; Oh, and I'm sure you mentioned it in your thread post, but what's all this getting dressed up for anyways? A Pokemon DPP video game tournament or for a big TCG tournament? (I thought they didn't do TCG championships for Pokemon the card game anymore.)

Hahaha I wouldn't have the balls to wear that.

Would anyone else prefer......oh say.....taking a cheese grater to their face before advertising that you like pokemon? :p

This is at the Video Game Championships. It's basically the only officially sanctioned tournaments for Pokemon Platinum. I'm pretty sure they have the TCG events right around the same time to coincide with them. And yes, the card game is still pretty popular. Not as popular as back in 2000 of course, but it still has a large amount of players.

Angry Chair, why go through life worrying about what other people think?
