Sports Pro Wrestling Discussion Thread

So I caught TNA for the first time in months and I have to say this week's TNA was better than WWE Raw. Don West has improve as a commentator in my opinion and he is getting better at being a Heel. Taz being in TNA is cool I guess and a lot of people have compared Samoa Joe to Taz. One thing I noticed about this week's Samoa Joe vs. Homicide match for the TNA X-Division title was that Samoa Joe was not being lazy as he has been lately.

Saying iMPACT is better than Raw is like saying i'd rather eat dirt than shit. They are both dire to watch at the moment lol.
 
The title matches in TNA were shit. So sick of MEM and their cockiness. Hurry up a lose the belts. The Joe-Homicide match was good though.

The 10 men tag was good untill EY pulled the usual shit.

Would've liked to see more of the Knockout match.

Keys on a Pole? Foley should've won then the attack. Lashly turning on the Mafia was expected but good.

Next weeks 200th ep should be good. Looks like TNA has finally woken up and Hard Justice should be good
 
No I was saying Raw was garbage and iMPACT is not much better.

NOC calling Punk to win as that is the only match I care about!

From dirt sheets it says news Kurt Angle has gotten creative control while Jeff Jarrett has been suspended. Jeff Jarrett getting suspended is true not so sure about Creative Angle (no pun intended).
 
TNA might actually get better because Kurt Angle hates that there is sometimes to many gimmick matches. Kurt also wants to push the company in the direction with the younger talent. From what I heard is Karen Angle and her kids are living with Jeff Jarrett.

In other news I just read the WWE Night of Champions spoilers and CM Punk lost the World Heavyweight Championship. :'( Funny thing I noticed about Jeff Hardy is he has a 0 wins, 5 loses record at Wrestlemania. Jeff Hardy also has never been able to successfully defend the WWE Championship / World Heavyweight Championship in his first title defenses.
 
If Angle pushes the younger talent, the MEM should end at Hard Justice or the next pay per view after it. MEM is control is bad and younger talent need belts.
 
I remember reading that he was caught with cocaine...though jobbing to Jerry Lawler is probably suitable punishment lol. Talented but stupid kid.

I haven't seen Smackdown yet (recorded though). I saw The Brian Kendrick's release coming a mile away as soon as I saw he got drafted back to Raw. I instantly thought "Wow he is so getting future endeavored." The Brian Kendrick just over a year ago was surprisingly in the main event scene competing for the WWE Championship hell he even defeated Jeff Hardy.
 
Smackdown was great again. I feel the same about Kendrick really. His new character was good, it's such a shame they threw him back on raw when all the young stars are getting pushed on smackdown.

I still don't know what to make of Jericho/Big Show.
 
hehe Punk beating the shit out of Hardy was great. He was bleeding after getting hit with the mic. The crowd reactions were priceless.

Thought the main event was good but not really that special, exceptional performance by Morrison. I wouldn't say he carried Jeff but he outperformed him certainly. The standing shooting star press and that backbreaker-legsweep thing stood out for me. Both need to calm down on the mic, their delivery is far too rushed.
 
So far this week my opinion.

Raw

Raw is so sad these days it is so sad I'm actually rooting for Mark Henry. Damn Mark Henry is the reason for me to watch Raw.

ECW

Well the opening this week was a bit odd but at the same time entertaining, at least to me anyway. Abraham Washington, Shelton Benjamin, and Zack Ryder were full of lols. Then the Main Event of the evening Christian vs. Tommy Dreamer in an Extreme Rules match for the ECW Championship was good.


TNA

I'm actually enjoying TNA more than Raw currently. The brawl was pretty damn cool if I do say so. Though why Sting is fighting Brutus Magnus in the Main Event is beyond me.

Smackdown!

As usual Smackdown has been phenomenal and Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at Summeslam should be awesome for the three simple letters T, L, C.
 
Ricky Ortiz has been released today from the WWE. I also saw this coming which makes me wonder why would you send him to Smackdown as a Heel if he was pretty over with the crowd on ECW as a face.
 
I'm so sick of RAW right now, it's really putting me off watching it for the first time in years. I've seen The Miz vs John Cena, Legacy fight with Triple H, and a combination of the former in matches with Randy Orton more times than I can count. THEN, they had to do Swagger vs Bourne again after it'd happened the previous, but I wasn't as fussed about that because it was an alright match. It makes me sad because RAW should be the best wrestling entertainment there is.

Every guest host has been preidictably shite. Seth was pretty funny at times, but the show still sucked. ZZ Top don't even know what WWE is, Shaq was pretty bad, especially his insults, FATBOY! but the actual episode was decent enough. While the latest guy, I can't even remember his name, was the worst one yet. I can't wait until this shit is over.

I never really watch TNA much, the commentators annoy me. There also always seems to be random episodes on Bravo at different times, so I never know if what Im watching is anywhere near up to date. The TNA website is also pathetic and not informative enough (or at least, it wasn't last time I looked, ages ago).

SmackDown has been good recently, but it being consistently better than RAW is somewhat depressing. No matter how good SmackDown gets, RAW is supposed to be better. The only thing I dislike on SmackDown right now is how they're billing Kane as scared of Khali, which is bullshit. But it's an alright build up to SummerFest (lol) I guess.

Summerfeast? WWE renamed another PPV oh wow lol Jeremy Piven >_>. Jeremy Piven's best part in a movie was in Rush Hour II.
