EVs: 248 HP / 56 Def / 204 SpD

Normalium Z Psych Up is a full heal for Regirock while also making it immune to Trick/Switcheroo. This is useful for balance teams which can't fit Z-Crystals well and it doesn't force you to be completely passive with Rest. Suppose you could also copy stat boosts from setup sweepers but this will rarely come in handy.

Putting forth a Rock Polish+Weakness Policy Regirock! While Regirock may seem too slow to pull off a set like this, it has a useful trait of great bulk, allowing it to take certain super effective hits, even from scarfers that still outspeed at +2. Mono typing allows it to take a Mach Punch, unlike Aggron. The given speed investment can outspeed Modest Scarf Mesprit after a boost.

- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge

- Thunder Wave

This set takes advantage of Regirock's movepool and already great defensive stats to run an offensive set and thus pressure more offensively-oriented teams with its strong attack stat. Stone edge is preferred over rock slide for damage ; thunder-wave slows opposing mons down and gains turns via parahaxx which shouldn't be underestimated: for exemple, paralyze a mesprit or hitmonchan and the game will be way easier. Drainpunch is usable with attack investment to recover health and avoid some Kos, but superpower can be used to hit ferroseed hard. I didn't add fire punch because it doesnt hit anything except ferroseed, while drainpunch targets sandslash-alola, aggron, primeape, togedemaru, dugtrio-alola and so on.
Z-rock or Z-fight are usable too.

Earthquake isn't very useful on regirock given than stoneedge or even drainpunch beat skuntank, that's important to notice.

252+ Atk Regirock Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Togedemaru: 216-256 (79.7 - 94.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Regirock Drain Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Aurorus: 392-464 (101.2 - 119.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

As you can see with the calcs, people won't be able to use stuff like aggron or aurorus to weaken regirock early game without fearing the KO, because drainpunch pulverizes them while healing a significant amount of health back.

Regirock @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Evs: 252 HP/ 252 Atk/ 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Focus Punch
- Stone Edge
- Toxic
- Substitute

This set uses regirock's natural bulk to run an offensive set whilst also utilising its access to toxic. Regirock is often assumed to be a defensive set up lead, so when your opponent attempts to trade rocks and you set up a substitute, regirock can pump out big damage with focus punch or stone edge. Common leads like ferro, toged, mesprit, aggron and aurorus all do not appreciate taking a focus punch or stone edge respectively and cannot OHKO or 1v1 regi. Mons like ferro and skuntank are easily 1v1'd by SubPunch regi as he can easily 2HKO them while they cannot break its sub. Mons that can easily tank Regi's hits like gastro and pyuku that can switch in on it can then also get toxic'd before regi's sub is broken or it switches out. Finally, threats to regirock such as primeape, alola-slash, alola-raichu w/ focus blast and drampa all get OHKO'd or 2HKO'd with regirock able to live a hit from all those it needs to (provided it is behind a sub).

This Regirock uses its immense physical defence to set up Swaggers on the opponent and the tank a hit while it copies the attack boost with Psych Up, allowing it to tear through bulkier teams. It should be used with Hazard support to discourage the opponent from switching out and neglecting your of your stat boosts. Earthquake and Superpower are great for coverage, but Drain Punch can be used to give it a bit more longevity and still does nice damage at +2.

While base 100 Attack doesn't seem like much, this set does make it more of a surprise factor. Everything here is pretty straightforward, STone Edge for STAB, Superpower dents Steel-types, Earthquake for Electric-types not named Eelektross, and Explosion to nuke something when Regirock is at low health and provides free momentum. HP can be moved into Speed to outspeed like max Speed Carracosta, but that about it in terms of outspeeding something.

Adding 2 rules which I have in another one of my project threads:
  • Bandwagon votes are illegal and will not be counted
  • Changes in votes are allowed, but must be done within the three day deadline and as follows;
Voting for Jmash324 Darkinium

Rest assured the the former will be used sparingly. In fact, I'm not sure if I'll have to use it at all, but I figured that I should if I was adding the second rule. Don't worry, if you're voting for something most others are voting for as well, don't change your vote just because of that because it'll likely be fine.

Anyways...

Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
IVs: 0 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Seismic Toss
- Aromatherapy
- Knock Off

Here we have an utility set, which is focused on dealing consistent damage through Seismic Toss while keeping high HP with Soft-Boiled.
Eviolite + the standard EVs spread is fundamental in order to underline Clefairy's defensive capabilities.
Aromatherapy is a key move here because Magic Guard makes Clefairy a Heal Beller immune to most status problems (bar paralysis) and Knock Off is a freely spammable move with high base power (unless Z Crystal or a megastone) and a huge degree of utility removing items all around.
A combination of 2 status moves + 2 attacks is quite resistant towards Taunt.

Moonblast is nice thanks to the STAB, but Seismic Toss is more consistent in almost every possible way;
SR is nice because Clefairy has access to recovery in order to set it multiple times, but Aromatheraphy is also useful to support your team getting rid of status ailments;
Cal Mind + Moonblast is also good, but it is written in the analysis, so is not possible to write it here;
Toxic or Thunder Wave are strong but I find Knock Off better than them because it deal chip damage while being Taunt-proof.

- Soft-Boiled / Protect
- Seismic Toss

- Wish

Wish improves Clefairy's ability to act as a pivot, providing 172HP to any ally switching in on the following turn. This allows common teammates such as Ferroseed, Skuntank and Weezing which typically do not have immediate self-sustain to switch in on opposing threats more easily and regenerate health over the course of a match. Whilst this role is typically better suited to Audino thanks to Audino's larger HP stat and self-healing in Regenerator, Clefairy carves a niche in its typing, role compression and ability.
To elaborate; Clefairy's fairy typing provides a team with a check to the many fighting types in the tier, including Primeape, Gurdurr and Hitmonchan (though Clefairy should be wary of Gunk Shot in the case of the former).

Entry hazards in the form of Stealth Rock in conjunction with Wish allow Clefairy's team to slowly wear down the opponent over the course of the match. Magic Guard, Clefairy's ability of choice, also assists in this role by allowing Clefairy to avoid taking damage from opposing entry hazards. This is especially useful against Toxic Spikes and spike stacking teams as Clefairy is able to sustain itself and its teammates continuously without being chipped away by poison or spike damage.

While Protect can be used, Clefairy also has access to Soft-Boiled, easing prediction by giving Clefairy an alternative self-heal that is not as easily abused as Protect. Using Wish before Soft-Boiled also guarantees Clefairy will end its turn on 100% health provided it does not faint beforehand. Thunder Wave or Toxic could also be used over Stealth Rock if spreading status is preferred or if Stealth Rock can be sourced elsewhere, however it should be noted that on many teams where this is true Audino is likely a better pick.
