Reason being is that generation 6 has brought a lot more speedy threats such as Greninja, Talonflame, Noivern, Mega Absol, Mega Houndoom, Hawlucha etc etc. and Magnezone isn't outpacing any of them. Furthermore the only notable thing that you trap that is a huge threat is MegaLuke and that isn't easy in practise. Couple this with the fact that if they are a Special Luke with VW you are screwed, nor can you ohko them unless they use CC. Magneton outpaces the aforementioned Pokemon and despite the inferior bulk and special attack, has enough to either OHKO the majority of them or put a severe dent/revenge kill them.

magneton doesnt have the spa to do the 2kos magnezone does tough especialy with hidden power nerfed to 60 i used one and it was so pitty i just went with magnezone even if i dont outspeed base 115 and up
About tallonflame the set ppl use in the analyses and mostly in general only speed to outspeed jolly excadrill, will actualy make magnezone faster than tallonflame using flare biltz and kill him i know i killed alot of unsuspecting tallonflames

Give me some examples of specific 2hkoes Magneton fails to achieve in that case. Some Talonflame do run more Speed EVs than what you mentioned and that is only one Pokemon out of the few that I mentioned. Magneton outpaces alot of fast hard hitting threats and that is what warrants it the CS set over Magneton who does a spectacular job of running Choice Specs set and Sub-Salac to trap slower Steel-types that Magneton might find harder to break.
