I think I said Clefairy, Piplup, Marill, Mawile, Rapidash, and Cubone before. If not (not double checking), that's what I'm feeling now (I said it was subject to change on a whim >.>)

4. Thoughts on "Energy Ball Jellicent?" I don't think you were around back then, but someone must have filled you in.
Lady Salamence made a reference to it when I first started posting, but it went right over my head at the time (you can check our VMs >.>)
Before I joined, I had been playing with several different Jellicent sets, including Energy Ball Jellicent. I always hoped that wasn't my fault somehow x.x
I did end up using Energy Ball Chandelure in a later tourney match against SOMALIA, but I think that's more common anyway and he didn't seem that caught off guard by it :/

I happen to be a vegetarian, have oddly strong feelings for other animals on an equality scale (I tend to like them more than people usually anyway x.x), and this probably causes me some weird guilt, but ewww, fuck, ahhh, if you wear your skeleton on your outside and try lurking up on me when I'm not ready for it, expect a shoe to crush your gross and invasive lifestyle. Jelli, I really liked your poem 'Some shit about clouds.' (Is that the actual name?) Anyway, I love poetry (hate novels, I can't concentrate on them for long enough). What advice would you give to someone who would like to write poetry but is a bit shit? I suppose this would be useful for writing in general.
Well, I don't really consider my poetry "good", so I might not be the right man to ask. That said, I don't think you're supposed to think your poetry or writing is top of the line or anything. If you wanna PM me any of it and ask for advice, please do! ^.^
General tips would be to just write what you're feeling at the time. Usually, my stuff doesn't end up rhyming, but poetry is a flexible enough style that you can pull off whatever and call it poetry in the end. It's pretty formless and really impossible to define, I think.
Whipping out a classic Wordsworth quote that's kinda cliche at this point, "For all good poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: and though this be true, Poems to which any value can be attached were never produced on any variety of subjects but by a man who, being possessed of more than usual organic sensibility, had also thought long and deeply." Essentially, write what you're feeling, let the pen take control, and you'll wind up creating what you thought you meant to make (even if it first looks like shit to you). Emotions are weird and gross like that.
Also, thanks! For the title: I hadn't really thought of one after I wrote it, but considering that represented my thoughts on the poem when I later posted it up, I can say it's probably as close to a fitting title that I could give it (otherwise, it would probably be lame or just some pun that would ruin it >.>)

Root access is only held by 3 users, 1 of which is inactive. Honestly, if that could be something generally entrusted to administrators (Great Sage, ibo, and Setsy jump to mind instantly), there would likely be some massive and progressive changes made that would greatly improve the site.
If you could make one meta more popular what would it be?
RU, let's get it! Seriously, if you aren't playing right now, check out the forum; the mod staff is bending over backwards to make it the coolest tier to be a part of, and the fact that you can literally use any playstyle and still find success in the meta means it was already the coolest anyway~
What do you want to accomplish on Smogon in the future?
Plenty. For now, I'm working with something fun with Texas for OI, and it will be out as soon as you all release me from this well ;-;
Outside of that: I already mentioned an idea incorporating badge leaders, but I still gotta work on it before bothering them. I've been in contact with sandshrewz and Triangles with how to spice up RoA, and I'll probably be kicking off something there to boost it up after my OI thing (Umby, Hip, and any other RoA enthusiast: let's chat about what else to do there :P). There are other things that I've got spinning around in my head, but I'm focusing on those for the time being >.>

Jellicent: I read your post in the rape thread, and it moved me. How has this incident affected your view on humanity and justice? If you could, would you have done anything about the situation differently? What do you think needs to be done (or should have been done) to prevent that rape/similar situations from happening?
My view on most of humanity and justice was already sadly quite skewed, and this event did nothing to fix that. Looking back, had I known the full details, the initial beating would have been a hell of a lot more brutal. Granted, I'm certain that wouldn't have gone down well with me "friends", but fuck them; their idea of friendship really, honestly, could not be more wrong.
It's not something I'm in the position of fixing, or something that will likely be fixed any time soon. The fact that he's still out there is quite bothersome, but it's a troubling problem in our society. The idea of "innocent until proven guilty" is, in most circumstances, one we should uphold. Unfortunately, in such a crime, the lines get very, very blurry and it can be extremely difficult to "prove" guilt (both a wonderful and horrifying fact about this justice system. An innocent man charged with such things should be, unless proven, found innocent. It becomes extremely frustrating when a guilty man is given that sort of pass, however, despite the testimonial being backed so well. I fully understand why as there's no way to prove guilt or innocence, but the current system clearly does not work :/). Really, it's a tough thing to change, and the controversy surrounding it is extreme. This is one instance where prevention, not punishment, would prove far more effective, though finding out how to prevent it is something that is sadly far beyond me at this point. It's something that can definitely use some improvement, but how to go about it is, unfortunately, not something I can deduce.

That is tough, solely because partnering with any person on Smogon depends greatly on their subject knowledge. I consider Hip a great partner for RoA, Oggy fantastic for C&C stuff, and Layell my man for OI movie nights, for instance; should they switch roles, however, they would probably become much less ideal :/
If you mean in real life, that's even harder, haha. An ideal "partner", assuming you mean relationship-wise, would be tough for me to find. Ideally, they would mesh well with me perfectly; that's a near impossible task, however. It sounds super misogynistic (and totally is), but a chick that I find attractive that was too dense to "get me" would be totally fine, too x.x
Why do you think NU more popular than RU? I don't play NU so I have no idea how it compares to RU, but I would've guessed that the "higher" tier would see more play.

Really, it's hard to say. A lot of NUers played RU beforehand, and probably played UU before that. In the past, there was standard play, those that don't hit the cut for standard, and bottom of the barrel mons. Now, there's standard, those that don't quite hit it, bottom of the barrel, and those in between the last two. RU likely has a niche as the mons that don't fit in OU or even right below it, but it lacks the niche of very bottom. We've yet to see something quite like RU, which is neither popular by being close to OU or niche by being the lowest tier, but it unfortunately lacks either standout trait. The sad thing is it's a great tier, has an incredible amount of balance, and hard working contributors that really push for the it. The initial desire to play is definitely lower than other tiers, but I think once people get into RU, they find it's a tough tier to give up :)
