Predicts Part 1
Teres v Sylveon: Dolliv is an elegant ass queen the fuck period bitch and Teres has that ugly green color for his text picture (like a picture speaks a thousand words so does this imply Dolliv speaks more than Teres)? I mean he mainly wins room tours without saying much so there's my proof. At the end of the day ima keep it classy and vote accordingly
Saltvik v JJ: Okay so like first of fucking all, why do BOTH of them have random ass numbers in their username like number just stress me out
I also know that both have large positive numerical timezones and both reside in areas that are certainly better than the US in maths. With that being said, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic reigns supreme.
Haunter v Drifting: I'm drifting away from my love of actually caring about schools (yet I still applied for university :skull: but my past is likely going to haunt me as I embark on my own journeys as an adult; what if I can't ever overcome my own struggles and grow to be a better and more autonomous person? What if I'm just pursuing a fruitless career with no chance of success? What if I'm never taken seriously by anyone and just fall in the cracks if the broken and alone? I can't drift away from my past mistakes; I'm stuck being haunted by them for an indefinite amount of time.
Michael v Micaiah: They literally both sound like Michael and autocorrect turned Micaiah into Michael which is honestly funny so there's that. In the name war, the winner will be the one that wasn't affected by autocorrect and the one that I didn't struggle to spell

gg's and sorry for the hax :/
"Unfortunate" doesn't begin to describe JJ09LIE's series, this game rewards blind luck and nothing else, I am beyond convinced at this point. After getting completely tooled by scheduling with his opponent changing times on me last minute and refusing to provide confirmation prior to the day of the match as to play times, losing this way somehow felt even worse than he had thought possible. JJ09LIE's team gen was superior, his play was superior, and he lost, so I don't see a reason to continue engaging in an activity where what is within his control is overwhelmingly outweighed by what is not.

I am done with competitive Pokemon, and you won't get a fond farewell. This community is infected to its roots with a degenerative disease that grows stronger over time but stops short of killing its host. Tournaments used to have a competitive spirit at their heart, this has been transplanted and replaced with an artificial organ that feeds on vitriol and mockery from insecure little boys that heckle by the sidelines and tear each other to shreds over scraps of attention. The environment we fostered has trapped us all like this in a vicious cycle, and escaping it requires acceptance of the harshest reality we all scramble to explain away, that none of the countless straining efforts we put ourselves through here will ever amount to one single shining glimmer of significance. I would make this the end, but Portuguese Premier League is still ongoing, and I would never leave so many great friends out to dry, so I'll suffer through a few more games for them.

One last thing before I leave you all to react with disdain, ridicule, and self-righteous fervor, before you do everything in your power to minimize my words and thoughts, box them up and shove them to some cobwebbed corner of your memory, and hope they disappear forever as a stain on your finite time ground to dust. From this moment on, nothing you say matters to me. The foulest insults you hurl with intent to wound will calmly settle at the earth before my feet, and the venom you spit will bring all the pain of a warm summer breeze. You are less than anything you can conceive, while I carry on, brimming with joy distilled from detachment.

I had an amazing slam run to cap off my first year playing competitive rands, and I'd like to take a moment to thank all of the people that helped me and made this year truly special. First, I'd like to thank Amaranth PrinceOfAllTacos and autumn for my start in rbel. Amaranth scouted me as a potential rbtt draft prospect, and with his post that ranked me significantly higher than I should have been at the time, I got picked up for rbel as a ttar under the leadership of poat and autumn. I'd like to thank them for helping me get introduced to the rands community, and cultivating an amazing team environment that fueled my desire to play more team tours. I'd like to thank all my teammates from ttars, drifttrick John Dozo Mada Amstan Ghostilex Batzi cheru Kinetic lkapkd1 rabbit13 relevartemit tyo and BlackKnight_Gawain for not only teaching me to play many of the formats I hadn't touched before slam, but for supporting me along my journey and letting me learn from watching you play.

I'd also like to take a moment to shout out 35Q71N for making me sign up for BF open, the open that I won and without which I wouldn't have qualified for the playoffs. An insanely large shoutout to my man Slikkles for teaching me how to play BF, as without them, I wouldn't have come close to winning the open, draft this man for everything, his game review and analysis are invaluable.

No individual accomplishment is possible without a good support team, and I'd like to thank satvik123 gomdol2 haxlolo paysa JustOut459 hammy3581 HaunterBoy28 ionnss Nuage Vitoran jyusaan relevartemit DerpySuX oaklies RSB Sapphire and platinumCheesecake for helping me with practice games, as well as all who supported me throughout this journey.

Finally, I'd like to thank our wonderful hosts, sharpclaw and Javi, for making this tour a reality and for your hard work in putting this circuit on.

I had a great year, from winning an open and making it to top 16, and I'll see y'all in rbtt/rbel next year!

Rooting for one of satvik123 or HaunterBoy28 to bring it home!

Due to host error, Gen 9 was not meant to be in this matchup's pool. After deliberation, it's been decided that teresbahji and Sylveon used calm mind will replay game 5 of their series, with Gen 8 (the format that should have been included) instead.

On a personal note, I just want to acknowledge the mixups we've had in the past couple rounds regarding players' Open rankings. Javi and I have both been dealing with personal circumstances that take our focus away from doing enough due diligence, but that doesn't excuse the mistakes we've made as hosts. Thank you all for understanding, and apologies that this error, in particular, didn't get caught until after games had been played; we resolve to make sure the rest of playoffs run clean.

I'll return to make predictions now that I have time and people haven't already played their series smh

(3) Michaelderbeste2 vs (7) Teres Bahji > this is...interesting. Because it's true that I said I expected Michael to be in finals but it's also true that the formats should guarantee good parity. There are formats Michael is not exactly super accustomed to like BSSF and Hackmons (yes, he can play everything but he plays other formats more), while gen 9 and doubles should be fairly balanced (Factory is more in Michael's favor). I'll still go with Michael but it should be a fun one
Prediction > 3-2 Michael

(24) Satvik123 vs (28) Drifting > to talk about this series, I need to share two screenshots

Number 1:

Number 2:
1731447774061.png

Moral of the story: this is not about saltvik and Drifting, but more about two italian men who are inadvertently pushing these players further and further into rands slam platyoffs.
On a serious note, Drifting is better at Factory and 8, Saltvik at BSSF, Hackmons is Hackmons and Drifting might be slightly better at Hackmons. Since he asked me to keep bolding against him, I'll predict Drifting to win this (nah but for real, it's my honest prediction)
Prediction: 3-1 Drifting

Time for my own predictions bitches!!!! (I'm almost done dw)
Michael v Teres: You know what at this point the highest seed that's even won this whole thing is like 16 or some shit and honestly I don't care who even wins this series because I'm gonna pick against them in the finals for the reason posted above. However I've went against the green text logo person in like every round and he keeps winning so maybe I should just pick them in this round bc I wanna see if I'm cursed or smth, but again I also could pick the German to show John bozo that I don't actually hate him but I'm gonna go with the no picture person because I don't really have anything insightful to say about either person tbh
Saltvik v Drifting: Okay bitches so it's fucking 2024 and we have a 24 seed whose top 4 opens are 24 points and so it only makes sense to just pick them. HOWEVER, and I say this with absolute necessity (or smth like that), we can't underestimate the Australian that I didn't pick to win round 2 or whatever round I picked against him in bc I don't keep up with this shit. They're both 20+ seeds and one of them is winning this whole thing regardless because that's just how it works but I'm keeping the curse of that one stupid ass math game alive

It's all come down to this! After a truly thrilling playoffs season, we've watched one player—someone who themselves just narrowly missed playoffs last year, losing a tiebreaker set in 5—blast their way through challenging opponent after challenging opponent and make their way to the finals match...only to face the undisputed odds-on favorite to win the whole Slam, a player whose name is effectively synonymous with Randbats excellence. Who will emerge victorious, and claim the title of Rands Slam IV Champion?
