RBY Ubers Tournament IV

Welcome to the forth RBY Ubers tournament within the 2025 Ubers Tournament Circuit, which will give points towards the Type B old gens leaderboard! This tournament, like the many other tournaments that compose this year's circuit, will award points towards a general Ubers leaderboard which will ultimately award the 2025 Ubers Ribbon (if you have any doubts over the ribbon system, check out this thread and this thread)!

SPECIFIC RULES
  • You must post all the replays within the round threads.
  • Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown!, preferably on the smogtours server.
  • Best of Three, Single Elimination. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.

RBY Ubers Clauses
  • Desync Clause Mod: Desyncs changed to move failure.
  • Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
  • Freeze Clause Mod: Limit one foe frozen
  • Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokémon
  • OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
  • Evasion Moves Clause: Evasion moves are banned
  • Endless Battle Clause: Forcing endless battles is banned

Sabelette vs NotVeryCake
Sabelette vs Blazing

For clarification's sake, the bye is due to the recent rule change of no longer permitting round robins finals seen here. I imagine you guys know that already but just in case I'll say it anyways

The second half of the post says ongoing tours should still have a 3 way finals and there’s a way to do this in bracketmaker (altho not nessecary here cuz it’s finals).

Thats exactly what I did. Nowhere in the second half of the post does it say anything about not applying it now and each current host got a direct message from Merritt saying to generate the tours using this format going forward. Unless I'm somehow mistaken, this is what is preferred over having a round robin. If I'm wrong then it can be adjusted no sweat.

From what I understood the reason why ongoing tours have to do that is to preserve 3-way finals since the policy change only affects new tours. I just tested it here and it still generated the bracket as if it was going to be a 3-way finals

hmm, maybe its because I only had 3 people in bracket to actually generate to begin with that it caused an issue. I was under the impression that we were generating it that way to get out of 3-way finals that were already locked in. I'll hit up merritt and triple check

No, you're supposed to keep round robin finals if it was going to be RR originally (that's the message I sent)

The bracketmaker freaks out a bit when you try to put in 3 names (extreme edge cases do that unfortunately). This should just be a RR finals.
 
extending with Blazing, playing Cake tomorrow, sorry to potentially delay the tour but im feeling pretty terribly sick today
