Pros for Real:
- Looks like it would be a rather expensive prank
- Said nowhere in any of the articles that it was a Joke
- Its bound to happen sooner or later

Pros for April Fools Joke:
- Trailer came out Aprils Fools 08, Movie date is April Fools 09
- Ganon Looks silly
- Too good to be true.
- Actress portraying Zeldas official site
- Read last sentance of first paragraph

I figured it would be safe to post this here.

Anyways, post your thoughts for Pro Fake/Real and I'll add any I think are intelligent.
 
Man it's obviously a joke!. But it was a good one, except for Ganondorf that looks shitty, all in there was cool.

Impa (i assume) looks like a man.
 
Ahaha, I'm loling so hard right now.

I admire their dedication as they went all out for this, but I'd die if this was real because it looks so bad. :(

Does this remind anyone else of the Metroid movie that was supposed to exist?

Obviously fake, but there was a lot of work put into it and you can tell. Quite worth watching.

although the video was uploaded on myspace video on april fools, the video i have seen before i think it was on ign

Thank you IGN for this being a joke and not real! It looked so bad that I would cry a little inside if this came to theaters. Zelda wasn't hot enough and was like... old and wrinkled. Link wasn't Link enough. Where are my damn elf ears! Ganondorf? Do I even have to explain?

And it just sounded extremely cheesy. I don't know about the rest of the fanboys, but when I see anything it better damn well vbe the shit, especially something I hold in high regard. Another video game movie disaster averted again!

But I must say I'm impressed that they made a whole entire movie trailer this grand. It definitely took a lot of time, effort, and cash, most likely. Kudos to them for such an elaborate joke.
 
I would not have cared if it was 'bad', this would have been so awesome. I would have been laughing the whole movie while enjoying it as a nerd no matter how bad it was.
 
That was a crafty prank IGN tried to pull on us, to bad they failed horribly. It would have been an awesome movie, but I don't think I could have enjoyed it that much because I would have been laughing at Ganon, who is a joke, (The Lord of all Evil, yeah right, lol). IMO, Link and Zelda could have looked better. Link looked very weak and Zelda wasn't hot enough. But who knows, this little prank might have given movie directors some ideas.

Even if that is true, it was a April Fool's prank, but I was actually amazed that they were making a movie of the best game series.
 
Well to be fair I don't think the piss poor character likeness aswell as the cheesy acting means it's not real.

Anyone remember the LoZ cartoon?
 
I thought it was fake, and the trailer confirms it (as does the IGN message...). Honestly, I don'tthink it's possible to make a good movie with a main character who doesn't talk.

And how was Impa even fighting? She never fought in the game....
