Realm of the mad god

All good rolls die young. My +53 Hp roll is a perfect example...those 40 minutes will be forever treasured.

After losing my Lvl 20 Paladin (who I had just started maxing; 2 Def pots in the first 5 minutes) to a Medusa courtesy my shitty computer lagging, I have fallen in love with the Rogue. I have just realised how much I like hit-and-run tactics.

Got a Golden Bow, Felswap Toxin, Magesteel Quiver and Ravenheart Sword; storing them in the vault! The new vault feature is so damn nifty.

My new Rogue is off to the a promising start; managed to get a Mithril Dagger in the first 5 minutes of play. Once I get him to 20, I can get some fame and try out the Assasin!

Since my super cool mystic died and trickster turned out to be really lame I went on to the next most fun class.

With the warrior I can pretty much activate my ghelm and then just blitzkrieg anything I want to.

Rogue is better if you enjoy hitting and running repeatedly, with the assassin you need to bomb them with your poison and let the knights do some damage first before charging at the last second.

also yes i am awesome

also ffs if you're gonna trade with someone who isn't posting on this thread ask one of us first. seriously guys just ask like rey or johann who is/isn't a scammer. protip: if you don't immediately recognize the name and they aren't at least like steel 5 don't do it!

also finally johann sees the light!

Don't get your hopes up tennis, I still think mystic is a really good class. Also I just got top prism from UDL.

Oh how I love vaults.

Wierd ass Priest roll, I think +7 Dexerity.

My Priest: Wand of Shadow, Tome of Renewing, Robe of the Shadow Magus and Ring of Exalted Dexerity (My baby)

Ake is back

That's right bitches. I've remade my knight, and maxed him in everything but wis/vit. +18hp, +11mp.

Holy crap the dungeon bosses are such epic trolls. 4 UDLs and 2 straight sprite worlds without a drop. :(

I think that Realm of the Mad God [PokémonRant] works like Pokémon in that depending on your TID and SID you may or may not be able to find shiny Pokémon, and I've clocked probably 750+ Pokéhours (generation 2+) and never seen a single wild shiny, (or shiny owned by a NPC,) [/PokémonRant] because I've done like 7 new Undead Lairs without a single drop. However I did troll the hell out of a group of scrubs in the Abyss of Demons. It was like 10 inexperienced level 20s, I was doing nothing but spamming the mystic's ability until the boss showed up, then I hung back and attacked from afar until it died, then I sprinted out and got 2 vit pots. That one really doesn't count though

Drops:

  • Tier 3 Ring - 25%
  • Tier 4 Ring - 10%
  • Tier 3 Ability Item - 25%
  • Tier 4 Ability Item - 10%
  • Tier 5 Ability Item - 2.5%
  • Potion of Wisdom - 25%
  • Potion of Wisdom - 25%
Those are the drop chances of Septavius. Remember, out of probably 10 or so of my last UDLs, I have seen one wis pot drop.

Hey guys! Guess what!??!?!?!! :D

I died. My maxed atk, def, spd, and dex knight died. Why? Greed. Got a dex at a skull, then saw twilight, then died.

I'm offering everything I have for def pots. You want a ZSeal? Bam. You want vit/wis pots? Boom. Though, everything will be at least 6 def pots.

As you can see, I'm quite pissed off.

I haven't played in a few days, but I keep wondering: how do you guys solo these things? As a level twenty with okay equipment, I was still having problems soloing Godlands and the lesser god dungeons. Are the higher-level equips that much better or do I need to use potions or am I just awful at this game?

The higher-level equips are much harder to get...very difficult. There is a huge gap between being a regular player and an expert. You definitely want to use pots, as they help a great deal.

Make sure you tell us your username, so we smogoners can help you ingame! Johann is Johann, Tennisace is tennis, Reyscarface is Rey, and Ake is Ake. Mack the knife is Mack, masterful is...(?) Zacchaeus is Zack, and Mailman is mailman.

Yeah so do I, like 30 (fucking twisted godland drops), so tell me what you have I guess (and I hope that isn't a quitting meme).

No, I get that they're much, much harder to get. It's just that, the difference between a Dragonscale and an Abyssal is only three points of Def. I imagine that the difference between weapons is a bit more pronounced -- the tier 10 dagger that someone gave me on IRC is much better than the Mithril and even Fire ones that I usually use, though I'm too afraid to move it from my mule -- but even then, is the difference that huge? I'm just wondering what percent is my bad play and what percent is my midtier equipment.

I've been playing under random characters named Satie and a necromancer Gareth that I was told to save my potions for.

The differences are small but they make a huge difference in the end. Say you have 2 paladins, one with dscale and one with abyssal. They both get hit with a barrage of attacks, the one with abyssal is suffering 3 less damage per hit. This means that if they are hit with 10 attacks, the one with dscale is taking 30 more points of damage than the one with abyssal. Same goes for weapons, if one has an average damage 5 higher than another, the one with the 5 point higher average will do 50 more damage in 10 attacks.

p.s. I'm taking a break from the game but I'll still be on irc.
