Realm of the mad god

I immediately thought of it but using a common adjective to modify a common noun doesn't make it similar to the same combination in another game. Past the name, it has no similarities to any other games I know of

He's reffering the Oblivion expansion Shivering Isles, which takes place in the realm of a mad god. Cause that totally makes them the same game right?
I didn't say that they were the same game. I find it very convenient that this game came out shortly after Shivering Isles was released.
They are about as far from similar as possible. One is a big budget RPG, and the other is an online hack and slash. The resemblance to Shivering Isles itself is just not there, nor does the mad god resemble the Oblivion one. There's really nothing similar at all, any semblance of story is just a cover-up for the fact that its purely an arcade game.

Well, if you are stuck between archer and huntress, go with huntress. Spamming the starter trap is a lot better than quivers. Quivers are probably the worst ability items. As for the other classes, it's mainly preference. If you like to go melee, you should be warrior or knight. If you want to long range, then archer, huntress, wizard, or necro will do.
Yeah, everyone dies at some point, but I've found little to no problems with the lag.
So I'm absolutely loving playing as a huntress. Apparently archers are actually better thanks to the quiver Dex boost but I use the trap ability quite a bit and it's so much better than the quiver ability that it makes up for it in my opinion.
Of course I'm not a super hardcore player though

New topic of discussion: Build 111
After weeks of build up I assume that it will be released in the very near future, it was supposed to be released last week but whatever. There is one confirmed new class: Mystic.
The Mystic will wear robes, use wands, and the ability will be a blast that prevents the enemy hit from attacking or moving. But, this will also make them invulnerable to any attacks until the effect wears off. It is sort of like using /pause on a monster. Discuss anything you hear about the new build.
p.s. fire sword being tier 13 is an inside joke.

L20 huntress (with +1 Atk) died because of that insanely annoying confuse spell. The only other person there, another huntress, bothered to leave all my stuff except my Verdant (but it was clearly the best item I had), even though they already had a Verdant. I kind of wish they had just taken all of my stuff because it feels like such a dick move to me to just take my bow and leave my other equipment
Edit: Nevermind I did lose everything. Now I just have what's left on my mule which turns out to be shit even though I thought it was originally good (a bunch of Dragonscales, Divine Tomes, Divine Seals, and Para HPs)
If anyone is quitting, or has unwanted archer equipment, I'd be glad to take high tier items haha
Edit2: Wow I got L20 on archer which actually is better than huntress and I DIED AGAIN because of lag in sprite world. But I got all of my stuff back, now I really just need higher tier leather armor and a good Def ring
Edit3: DIED AGAIN WHAT THE HELL but of course lag strikes again and I died L19 archer and lost my quiver so I'm really looking forward to having more servers and therefore less lag

Also today my necro with a great roll died an untimely death. Luckily some bro grabbed all my stuff from my grave and returned it to me, even my wis pot. Using archer now so I don't feel bad about not having every class unlocked :x.
p.s. While leveling travel with small groups of players killing mid level monsters. The players are generally nicer and cooler. I managed to score a free magesteel quiver and verdant bow from 2 of them.
Magesteel is great but it's also rather common, however, the Gold Quiver is ungodly rare and not a whole lot better but just like Innocent Blood to Fey, it is better and if you were using it you would notice how it's better, but otherwise it doesn't matter too much.
I like traveling with famous nice people like O and Vulcan, but 97% of the time that they aren't in the lobby they only hunt gods.

I started trading stat pots for high items, like elder robe and abyss staff and stuff. There are some autoloot people so soloing for pots is a lot easier to get that stuff.
Also I wouldn't put good gear on something unless they had a beast hp roll and maxed out defense. I have like ~12 def pots on mules right now, waiting for build 111 to play the new class, then I think I'll max out a necro.

Agreeing on the solo comment, although playing with a friend is even better because it provides security for dying.
And I felt like I should put this here: If you want to get some potions but don't want to risk a whole lot, either complete Undead Lairs, (because the boss commonly drops Wis pots,) or fight the brain gods and eye gods (because they have easy to dodge attacks compared to other gods like the sprite god while retaining good drops)

or be a pimp and solo abyss of demons for the dex pots
All the god ones are pretty easy if you get them 1 at a time (sprite god is more annoying though) but you mostly only get attack and def pots, which are pretty common so not many people want them as much as wis/vit/dex. Ghost drops speed which is pretty good. Medusa doesn't drop anything except abyss entrance I hate her.
