I will say that Arctyrant looks insanely busted, STAB Strong Jaw boosted Ice type Fisheous Rend off of 101 Attack and Speed seems incredibly overpowered and any resist likely takes a ton from an Earthquake.

My vote for ImperialGamer517's Darumaka variant is for the sake of throwing them a bone, but I actually do like what they came up with! I will say though that the name of the evo could use some work - Bloomerasu would work just fine - and also that because the Zen Mode features in both regular and Galarian Darmanitan, I think it would've been better if the regional evo also kept Zen Mode as its HA - it'd even fit the namesake Amaterasu hiding in a cave in one famous story. A physical description would also help me imagine it better, but it's nonetheless a good start!

Yeah, I was told that on the CAP Discord as well. I honestly don't know how to nerf it given that doing so would be against the theme, but I intended for the balance against it to be that Arctyrant wouldn't be as quick as certain Pokemon intended to hold their own against it. The Special Defense is equally bad compared to Tyrantrum and the Defense is actually weaker as well, and with five weaknesses it's intended as a glass cannon rather than a tank, so faster Fairy- and Dragon-types with strong special attacks would be your best bet against it (cough cough Dragapult). If I do resubmit it, though, I may nix Earthquake and any other Ground attacks so it doesn't get too many options against types it's weak to.

Pokémon: Croagunk-Johto
New Typing: Poison / Ghost
New Abilities: Anticipation / Cursed Body / Poison Touch

The phantasmal Croagunk of Johto is an endangered species. They hang around the Ecruteak Burned Tower, where they were rumored to be the protectors before their numbers decreased.

Pokémon: Exspiragunk
New Typing: Poison / Ghost
New Abilities: Anticipation / Cursed Body / Poison Touch
New Stats: 83 / 116 / 65 / 76 / 95 / 105
Added Moves: Shadow Sneak, Shadow Ball, Confuse Ray, Curse, Destiny Bond, Night Shade, Astonish, Lick, Shadow Punch, Shadow Claw, Poltergeist, Soul Drain (Drain Punch Ghost clone)
Removed Moves: Fighting Type Moves

Exspiragunk are known for their bright red and white lines- they use their bright colors to catch the attention of prey, before striking.

Pokémon: Kalosian Mr. Mime
New Typing: Dark / Fairy

Added Moves: Beat Up, Embargo, Fake Tears, Flatter, Fling, Memento, Parting Shot, Quash, Snatch, Torment, Payback, Knock Off, Thief, Throat Chop, Night Daze, Foul Play
Removed Moves: Power Swap, Guard Swap, Confusion, Role Play, Psybeam, Psychic, Mirror Coat, Wonder Room, Trick Room, Magic Room, Psyshock, Trick, Skill Swap, Zen Headbutt

Unovan Mr. Mimes are known for their cunning nature- they use their "miming" to encase people or Pokémon in a trap, and then steal what they can. They resemble a typical mime in the black and white striped shirt.

Pokémon: Mr. Crime
New Typing: Dark / Fairy
New Abilities: Pickpocket / Prankster
New Stats: 60 / 120 / 110 / 65 / 85 / 110
Added Moves: Beat Up, Embargo, Fake Tears, Flatter, Fling, Memento, Parting Shot, Quash, Snatch, Torment, Payback, Knock Off, Thief, Throat Chop, Night Daze, Foul Play
Removed Moves: Power Swap, Guard Swap, Confusion, Role Play, Psybeam, Psychic, Mirror Coat, Wonder Room, Trick Room, Magic Room, Psyshock, Trick, Skill Swap, Zen Headbutt

One of the most illusive Pokémon- few have been caught. Those who have caught one are hailed as a true Pokémon master. Mr. Crime could be smarter than that of the average Alakazam- they were also used in the great "Lumiose City Taxi Theft", in which all taxis in the city were stolen and sold to a Kantonian crime circle.

Mr. Crime is strongly based around Lupin Arsene, Gentlemen Thief- the book character, not the Persona or Code Realize character. He has the cane, the monicle, EVEN THE MUSTACHE. IT'S IMPERATIVE THAT HE HAS THAT.

Pokémon: Unovan Sinistea
New Typing: Ground
New Abilities: Natural Cure / Sheer Force (HA)
New Stats: 40 / 74 / 54 / 45 / 45 / 50
Removed Moves: Shadow Ball, Poltergeist, Foul Play, Dark Pulse, Hex, Phantom Force, Dark Pulse, Astonish
Added Moves: Earthquake, Bulldoze, Dig, Sand Tomb, Magnitude, Stomping Tantrum, Earth Power, Mud Shot, Mud Slap, Spikes, Shore Up

Unovan Sinistea are used as offerings to the mischevious duo of the Forces of Nature- they are apparently the only things that can calm their reckless nature. Sinistea sit on the ground, no longer levitating. Their teacup has markings on it that resembles Landorus' skin.

Pokémon: Genteanie
New Typing: Ground / Flying
New Abilities: Natural Cure / Sheer Force (HA)
New Stats: 74 / 124 / 77 / 95 / 77 / 85
Removed Moves: Shadow Ball, Poltergeist, Foul Play, Dark Pulse, Hex, Phantom Force, Dark Pulse, Astonish
Added Moves: Earthquake, Bulldoze, Dig, Sand Tomb, Magnitude, Stomping Tantrum, Earth Power, Mud Shot, Mud Slap, Spikes, Shore Up, Rock Throw, Imprison, Fissure, Hammer Arm, Hurricane, Air Slash, Fly, Sky Drop, Acrobatics

Genteanie evolve from Unovan Sinistea when exposed to the Abundant Herbs. Genteanie's projection of itself resembles Landorus, albeit in a "smokey" form. These Pokémon are used when Sinistea aren't enough- Genteanie's passing resemblance to Landorus are enough to scare the other two away.

Pokémon: Hoennian Yamask
New Typing: Electric / Ghost
New Abilities: Electrical Interference (Neutralizing Gas clone)
New Stats: 30 / 65 / 30 / 85 / 30 / 55
Added Moves: Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Wild Charge, Thunder Shock, Thunder Punch, Shock Wave, Rising Voltage, Parabolic Charge, Charge, Magnet Rise, Electro Ball, Charge Beam, Discharge, Poltergeist

Hoennian Yamask dwell in Old Mauville, hiding in various abandoned technology. The most commonly found form is an old game system. You can tell an Hoennian Yamask is close when you can hear the sound of a video game soundtrack.

Pokémon: Retrorigus
New Typing: Electric / Ghost
New Abilities: Electrical Interference (Neutralizing Gas clone)
New Stats: 58 / 105 / 50 / 135 / 50 / 125
Added Moves: Thunderbolt, Volt Switch, Wild Charge, Thunder Shock, Thunder Punch, Shock Wave, Rising Voltage, Parabolic Charge, Charge, Magnet Rise, Electro Ball, Charge Beam, Discharge, Poltergeist

Retrorigus possesses obselete technology, empowering its body. However, due to the age of the technology, it lacks the defense of its counterparts. It holds no malicous intent towards humans, and shows some mild interest in technology of now. It's body is made up of the Gameboy, a few link cables and an old TV.

Pokémon: Orreian Swablu
New Typing: Ground
New Abilities: Sand Force / Sand Stream
New Stats: 45 / 40 / 75 / 40 / 60 / 50
Added Moves: Spikes, Stealth Rock, Magnitude, Mud Slap, Mud Shot, Mud Bomb, Scorching Sands, Drill Run, Earth Power
Removed Moves: Flying Moves

Orreian Swablu's live in the desert., but the far more aggresive ones live near Reversal Mountain. Swablu were commonly snatched up by Mandibuzz in the skies, so they blended into the ground to survive.

Pokémon: Tumblblu
New Typing: Ground / Dragon
New Abilities: Sand Force / Sand Stream
New Stats: 75 / 90 / 115 / 90 / 90 / 60
Added Moves: Spikes, Stealth Rock, Magnitude, Mud Slap, Mud Shot, Mud Bomb, Scorching Sands, Drill Run, Earth Power, Rock Slide, Rock Wrecker, Meteor Beam

Pokémon: Ultra Silicobra
New Typing: Electric
New Abilities: Recharge (Sand Spit Clone, sets Electric Terrain) / Beast Boost
New Stats: 52 / 35 / 50 / 57 / 75 / 46
Added Moves: Spark, Charge Beam, Discharge, Electrify, Magnet Rise, Thunderbolt, Shock Wave, Thunder Fang, Thunder Wave, Electric Terrain, Thunder
Removed Moves: Ground Type

A Silicobra that hails from the Ultra Plant- it resembles a power cord of sorts. As it grows, it stores energy in it's "bundles" on its body. They can hold up to 10,000 volts of energy.

Pokémon: Cordoboros
New Typing: Electric / Dragon
New Abilities: Recharge / Beast Boost
New Stats: 72 / 65 / 70 / 107 / 125 / 71
Added Moves: Spark, Charge Beam, Discharge, Electrify, Magnet Rise, Thunderbolt, Shock Wave, Thunder Fang, Thunder Wave, Electric Terrain, Thunder, Dragon Pulse, Draco Meteor, Dragon Tail, Twister, Scale Shot, Dragon Dance
Removed Moves: Ground Type Moves

Cordoboros is a larger, jumbled up mess of a Pokemon. Silicobra's body has elongated to the point they can't keep track of where their body goes. Doesn't help that they're twice as big as a typical Sandaconda would be. That being said, they can store up to 1,000,000 volts of energy in their body.

They also possess a Gigantamax form- this form is untangled, and coiled up nicely. It's G-Max Move, G-Max Thunderstorm, deals damage and traps targets in a powerful thunderstorm (similar to Sand Tomb).

Pokémon: Unovan Greedent
New Typing: Dark/Grass
New Abilities: Gluttony/Hustle
New Stats: 90(-30)/105(+10)/75(Swapped with SpA, +20)/20(Swapped with Speed)/75/95(Swapped with Def) | BST: 460
New Moves: Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Pursuit, Close Combat, Acrobatics, Branch Poke, Leafage, Leaf Blade, Razor Leaf, Nut Drop(it's a grass type iron head clone that does not make contact.)
Removed Moves:
Flavor/Design: Greedents in Unova, while appearing deceptively cute, are in fact very territorial against others of their own kind. The cities they inhabit tend to not have a lot in terms of trees, and so territory is contested wildly. In addition to being sleeker than their galarian counterparts they are also smarter, sometimes even going so far as to antagonize children. This is normally done by having them chuck nuts, seeds, and branches at kids as they walk by. Same height as galarian greedent, but only 7.1 lbs.

Pokémon: Squirban
Evolution Method: Level it up knowing Nut Drop
New Typing: Dark/Grass
New Abilities: Gluttony/Hustle
New Stats: 95/115/80/45/80/115 | BST: 530
New Moves: Movepool from Unovan Greedent + Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, and Hone Claws
Flavor/Design: Squirban is simply more of the same, however it tends to move in a quadrupedal fashion so it can be faster. Most Squirbans are seen as the leaders of their Greedent scurries and are the brains of the operation. The amount of organization they have is astounding when compared to most pokemon of a similar intelligence as themselves. They know how to traverse their terrain well and will use any and all exploits when protecting or gaining new territory. They are to not be messed with because they are as vicious as they are intelligent. 3'0", 10lbs.

:ss/meowth:
Pokémon: Unovan Meowth
New Typing: Dark/Fighting
New Abilities: Tough Claws/Technician/Unnerve
New Stats: 40/50/40/35/40/85 | BST: 290
New Moves: Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Night Slash, Darkest Lariat, Iron Head, Close Combat, Bulk Up, Superpower,
Removed Moves:
Flavor/Design: Meowth was introduced to Unova as a pet, rather than something for combat. However as more people let their cats go outside and wander off during the day, Meowths began to mate with each other, and the local purrloin, thus spawning feral meowths. These meowths are a lot sneakier and a lot more aggressive than their domesticated counterparts. They threaten the local pidove population as they have begun to over hunt them. It's recommended to stay far away from they are very territorial. Same height and weight as meowth.

Pokémon: Perral
Evolution Method: Level it up to level 28
New Typing: Dark/Fighting
New Abilities: Tough Claws/Technician/Hustle
New Stats: 70/120/60/35/60/95 | BST: 440
New Moves: Movepool from Unovan Meowth.
Flavor/Design: Perral tend to act as the leaders of their clowders. They are the top cat for a lack of a better term and will claim any alleyway full of trash as their own. They generally eat first, mate first, and in battles against other clowders of meowths and purrloins they'll strike first. Despite that they live for the thrill of the fight, and will often start scraps for no reason. If they find the right trainer however, they'll become a worthy teammate.

:ss/Mimikyu:
Pokémon: Sinnoan-Mimikyu
New Typing: Ghost/Fairy
New Abilities: Fluffy
New Stats: 75/90/105/50/90/66 | BST: 476
New Moves: Shadow Punch, Poltergeist, Bulk Up, Patch Up(a recover clone), String Shot
Removed Moves: Wood Hammer, Shadow Claw, Slash, Hone Claws, Copycat
Flavor/Design: While Mimikyu in Alola were jealous of pikachu and thus dressed like it to be popular, Mimikyu in Sinnoh hide their appearance because it is super cold. They'll typically steal the biggest and fluffiest of blankets to keep warm in the northern parts of the region. While they lose their disguise, they now have a big blankey that keeps em nice and toasty, that is typically fashioned out of all the blankets they stole. If you take it's blanket ... it's best to leave the region and never return.

Pokémon: Kurikyu
Evolution Method: Level up holding a reaper cloth, in hail
New Typing: Ghost/Fairy
New Abilities: Fluffy
New Stats: 110/100/110/70/110/26 | BST: 526
New Moves: Movepool from Sinnoan-Mimikyu
Flavor/Design: When adding the reaper cloth to its big fluffy blanket Mimikyu's in sinnoh under go an evolution in which they, and somehow their blanket, become bigger and fluffier. It's blanket is so big that it actually has trouble moving in it. It is also said to shelter other cold pokemon under its blanket, so long as they keep their eyes closed. At the end of the day Kurikyu doesn't want anyone to be cold, and wants as much love and affection as it can have.

Pokémon: Galarian Spoink, the Truffle Pig Pokémon
New Typing: Ice / Normal
New Abilities: Anticipation / Slush Rush | Hustle
New Stats: 60/60/70/35/70/35 (Swap Atk and Spe, SpA and Def, -10 SpD, +10 Spe)
New Moves: Baby-Doll Eyes, Ice Shard, Ice Ball, Hail, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Hyper Voice [+7]
Removed Moves: Calm Mind, Light Screen, Reflect, Power Gem, Shadow Ball, Signal Beam, Thunder Wave, Psybeam, Trick Room, Ally Switch, Charge Beam, Confuse Ray, Amnesia, Dream Eater, Future Sight, Telekinesis, Heal Bell [-17]
Flavor/Design: Unlike their kin in Hoenn, they do not require continuous bouncing to maintain their heartbeat. Instead, they use their sturdy, coiled tail to drill into snow and ice to track down truffles and herbs– their favorite food. Much less proficient in psychic power, they now carry around a large snowball, but nobody is certain what its use is.
Size: 2’2’’, 82 lbs

Pokémon: Rimangali, the Unicorn Pig Pokémon
Name Origin: [rime (a type of frost) + Mangalista (the Hungarian wooly pig)]
Evolution Method: Level 39 when hailing
New Typing: Ice / Normal
New Abilities: Fur Coat / Ice Scales | Hustle
New Stats: 85/100/85/70/85/45
New Moves: Galarian Spoink + Horn Leech, Ice Hammer, Aurora Veil, Haze, Mist, Smog, Defog, Tailwind, Misty Terrain, Strange Steam, Horn Attack, Fury Attack, Horn Drill, Sheer Cold, Megahorn, Smart Strike [+23]
Flavor/Design: Whereever Rimangali tread, fog and whiteouts are sure to arrive in their wake. Their natural elusiveness and mystical white horn makes them appear enigmatic to most, but in actuality, they are highly social and frequently pass through mountain villages. That said, they’re notoriously difficult to domesticate, so the sturdy fiber of its wool coat is hard to harvest, especially since it is always encrusted with a layer of hoarfrost.
Size: 5'4'', 322 lbs

Sort of a defensive riff on my K!Pikipek, where the unpredictable ability is its major strength, compensating for a mediocre type among other shortcomings.

A layer of rime can feasibly be considered a scale-like coating, right?

Pokémon: Alolan Sinistea, the Cappuccino Pokémon
New Typing: Ground / Dark get it? Coffee GROUNDS; DARK roast?
New Abilities:
New Stats:
New Moves:
Removed Moves:
Flavor/Design: Some Pokémon professors debate whether Alolan Sinistea are taxonomically a different species instead of a regional variant of Sinistea from Galar. After all, Galarian tea and Alolan coffee are such vastly different drinks that it’s hard to compare the two. Most layfolk don’t seem to care though. In fact, the petite brown bodies and handsome earthenware mugs of Alolan Sinistea are so popular that they’ve become synonymous with the many cafés that are ubiquitous in Alolan Pokémon Centers.

Pokémon: Terroast, the Dark Roast Pokémon
Name Origin: [terror + terra (as in earth/ground) + roast (the coffee term)]
Evolution Method:

Pokémon: Kalosian Togedemaru, the Generator Pokémon
New Typing: Electric / Rock
New Abilities: Power Spot | Mold Breaker
New Stats:
New Moves: Power Gem, Rock Throw
Removed Moves: Steel Beam, Steel Roller, Fell Stinger, Electroweb, Bounce, Assurance, U-Turn, Poison Jab, Iron Head, Twineedle, Iron Tail [-11]
Flavor/Design: Togedemaru actually changed into this form in its home region of Alola. Electrical resonance with Alolan Geodude altered its genes, turning Togedemaru more rugged and geological. This caused it to gain electrical resistance properties instead of electrical absorption ones. Today, it has been introduced to the Kalos region, and is now a common household Pokêmon that’s both good with families and usable as a convenient source of electricity when needed.

Pokémon: Geohmurid, the Sparkling Pokémon
Name Origin: [geode + ohm; a unit of electrical resistance + murid; adjective meaning relating to mice]
Evolution Method: Level up knowing Power Gem
New Typing: Electric / Rock
New Abilities: Power Spot | Multiscale
New Stats:
New Moves: Kalosian Togedemaru +
Flavor/Design: The spines on Togedemaru’s back have transfigured into blue gemstone spikes, and its brown, rotund body has become even more endearing. Its body sizzles with electricity, but its insulating properties prevent others from getting shocked, unless Geohmurid exerts itself. Its glamourous, appealing figure has led it to become a symbol of opulence in Kalos, rivaled only by the Carbink of the region. However, its value in this regard has made it more difficult to source for uses in electrical work. As such, despite their insulating and galvanic power being weaker, Togedemaru is more popular in these areas.

Stats: 50/80/95/10/45/10 (290) (unchanged)
Abilities: Rock Head, Sand Force (HA: Mimicry)
New Moves: Earthquake, Magnitude, Sand-Attack, Shore Up, Sweet Scent
Removed Moves: Low Kick, Rollout, Stomping Tantrum
Flavor/Design: Unovan Bonsly lacks the legs of its counterpart, instead being partially buried in the ground like the members of the Diglett line. Its “leaves” also have a yellow coloration resembling that of Sinnoh’s Honey Trees. It disguises itself as a tree and emits a sweet scent to hide from predators. When its scent attracts herbivores and pollinators, it burrows into the ground to escape.

Stats: 80/100/105/30/65/30 (410) (+10 HP, -10 Def)
Abilities: Rock Head, Sand Force (HA: Mimicry)
New Moves: Branch Poke, Ingrain, Spikes, Camouflage, Unovan Bonsly’s moves
Removed Moves: Rollout, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Focus Punch, Power-Up Punch, Dynamic Punch, Hammer Arm, Mega Kick, Low Kick, Stomping Tantrum
Flavor/Design: Its lower body is buried into the ground like its pre-evolution’s. Instead of a distinct pair of arms, Unovan Sudowoodo has several branch-like structures on its body, ending in green, leaf-like crystals. It can still burrow underground when threatened, but its body is not as streamlined as Bonsly’s, so it prefers fighting to fleeing. It sheds the leaflike crystals in autumn and scatters them on the ground around itself, so that any predators who approach it risk stepping on one and injuring themselves.
Competitive: 80/105/65 with Eviolite ain’t bad, but Unovan Sudowoodo faces heavy competition from Rhydon as a Rock/Ground Eviolite user, with its only real advantage being Spikes.

Fauxliage
Type:
Rock/Grass
Stats: 120/120/135/40/70/50 (535) (+40 HP, +20 Atk, +30 Def, +10 SpA, +5 SpD, +20 Spe)
Abilities: Rock Head, Harvest (HA: Mimicry)
New Moves: Leech Seed, Synthesis, Solar Blade, Solar Beam, Leaf Storm, Growth, Unovan Sudowoodo’s moves
Height/Weight: 6.9 m, 420 kg (22’08”, 925.9 lbs)
(nice)
Flavor/Design: Fauxliage’s body has undergone a physical change, turning from stone into an extremely tough and dense wood. Its lower body is a complex network of roots that extends down into the ground, absorbing water from the soil. Many branch-like structures extend from its upper body, covered with the leaflike crystals of its previous form, which can now absorb solar energy in a method remarkably similar to photosynthesis. When it stands still and closes its eyes and mouth, it’s nearly impossible to visually tell it apart from a tree, and even its biology resembles a tree’s. Legends of “moving trees” defending forests in Unova are actually stories of this Pokémon, which will viciously attack anyone who harms it or any real trees close to it. Its disguise as a tree is so thorough that some scientists have moved to have it biologically classified as a tree.
Competitive: With massive physical bulk and the powerful one-two punch of Head Smash and Wood Hammer without recoil, Fauxliage is an excellent physical tank. Its defensive typing leaves (pun intended) a lot to be desired, but it can make up for that with reliable recovery in the form of Synthesis. Due to its bulk and access to Stealth Rock and Spikes, it can also function very well as a hazard setter. Harvest sets fit onto sun teams well, especially with Solar Blade as an option, since Fauxliage threatens the Water, Rock and Ground types that tend to threaten Fire-type sun setters and abusers, although it’s neutral to all of those and therefore may struggle to switch in.

I first encountered the name “Fauxliage” as a nickname for a Sudowoodo I received via Wonder Trade once upon a time, and I immediately said, out loud, “I need to make that its own thing.” I don’t know why I said it out loud, considering nobody else was in the room, but here I am six years later making it its own thing. The sheer genius of the name and how well it flows with the rest of the evolutionary line means that I’m probably not the first person to come up with a Sudowoodo evolution called Fauxliage, but I somehow haven’t seen one yet, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. Anyway, I thought it would be really funny to have Sudowoodo’s disguise get so good that it fools reality itself and becomes an actual tree. The evolutionary line is also partially based on the concept of petrified wood, although in this case it goes the other way round as stone turns into wood. Fauxliage also takes some inspiration from myths of talking/moving trees, as well of Tolkien’s Ents and Huorns.

I was debating between submitting Fauxliage and a bamboo-based evolution called Bamboozle. Ultimately, I decided to go with the pun that was less stupid, especially since “bamboozle” is just an actual word (though that didn’t exactly stop me from submitting Behemoth).

Galarian Snubbull
Type:
Fairy/Fighting
Stats: 60/70/60/40/40/30 (300) (-10 Atk, +10 Def)
Abilities: Intimidate, Strong Jaw (HA: Steadfast)
New Moves: Jaw Lock, Double-Edge, Hyper Fang
Removed Moves: Thief, Torment, Payback, Shadow Ball
Flavor/Design: Galarian Snubbull is quadrupedal and slightly more muscular than its Johto counterpart, and its coloration is largely white with brown patches. Its keen sense of smell and strong muscles make it perfect for police work. Police officers train Galarian Snubbull to hire onto criminals and never let go.

Galarian Granbull
Type:
Fairy/Fighting
Stats: 90/115/80/65/55/45 (450) (-5 Atk, +5 Def, +5 SpA, -5 SpD)
Abilities: Intimidate, Strong Jaw (HA: Steadfast)
New Moves: Drain Punch, Galarian Snubbull’s moves
Removed Moves: Thief, Torment, Shadow Ball
Flavor/Design: Galarian Granbull is bipedal, with the same white-brown pattern as its pre-evolution and large, strong arms. The black markings on regular Granbull are changed to blue on the Galarian form. It uses both its strong jaws and muscular arms to detain criminals. It has the uncanny ability to smell whether or not a person has committed a crime, and it’s so accurate that people use it instead of lie detectors.

Constabull
Type:
Fairy/Fighting
Stats: 100/135/85/85/70/65 (540) (+10 HP, +20 Atk, +5 Def, +20 SpA, +15 SpD, +20 Spe)
Abilities: Intimidate, Justified (HA: Detain)
Detain - Magnet Pull clone for Dark-types.

New Moves: Imprison, Arrest, Beat Up, Block, Fairy Lock, Pursuit, Galarian Granbull’s moves
Arrest - Fighting-type Anchor Shot clone.
Height/Weight: 1.6 m, 68.2 kg (5’03”, 150.4 lbs)
Flavor/Design: Constabull has a heavyset body with a respectable amount of muscle. It has a similar white-and-brown pattern as its pre-evolutions. Its facial structure is similar to Granbull’s, but with a prominent set of jowls. It wears a blue hat resembling the Scotland Yard custodian helmet and carries a nightstick. Constabull is used by law enforcement to both sniff out crime and detain criminals. When it locks onto someone who has committed a crime, it will never stop pursuing them until that person has been arrested. Though it looks violent and is fully trained for combat, Constabull prefers to detain criminals through non-violent methods, only resorting to force once all other options have been exhausted.
Competitive: Constabull serves as an answer to basically every single Dark-type Pokémon. Justified lets it act as a phenomenal Dark-type switch-in, doubly resisting Dark and getting a +1 Attack boost in the process. Detain allows it to trap opposing Dark-types, most of which really don’t want to stay on the field against a Fairy/Fighting type but will be forced to anyway. Taunt and Thunder Wave give Constabull some utility against the few Dark-types it doesn’t beat outright. Its Speed is fairly low and its defenses aren’t the best, so Constabull can be revenge-killed pretty easily. It also doesn’t have any real ways of dealing with Poison-types, so physically bulky Poison-type Pokémon can be used to take it out.

Does anyone remember the painfully bad 1990 TV pilot for a show called “Poochinski” about a police bulldog who was also a policeman? No? Well, that’s good, because it was terrible, but it also serves as a partial inspiration for this line. The whole evolutionary line was inspired by the English bulldog, which is often used as a police dog. Constabull’s name comes from “constable”, the default rank of police officers in the UK, and “bulldog”. The move Arrest is, of course, modeled after how police officers arrest criminals, and the Ability Detain trapping Dark-types is a reference to how the Dark type is seen as an “evil”, “wicked”, “delinquent” or “criminal” typing (even being called the Evil type in Japanese) and any police officer worth their salt wouldn’t want to let a criminal or villain just run away.

Kantonian Snom
Type:
Bug/Dragon
Stats: 30/45/35/25/30/20 (185) (swapped Atk and SpA)
Abilities: Shield Dust (HA: Dragon Scales)
Dragon Scales - Clone of Ice Scales.

New Moves: Dragon Breath, Draco Meteor, Dragon Claw, Dragon Rage
Removed Moves: Icicle Spear, Icy Wind, Powder Snow, Fairy Wind
Flavor/Design: Kantonian Snom is bright green with small horns on its head similar to those found on many Dragon-type Pokémon. Instead of being covered with a shell of ice, Kantonian Snom is surrounded by tough, shiny green scales that are worth a small fortune to certain collectors. Despite its tiny size, its tough scales and horns deter any predator from attacking it.

Kantonian Frosmoth
Type:
Bug/Dragon
Stats: 70/125/60/65/90/65 (475) (swapped Atk and SpA)
Abilities: Shield Dust (HA: Dragon Scales)
New Moves: Twister, Whirlwind, Scale Shot, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Fire Spin, Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Dragon Tail, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Fly, Roost, Kantonian Snom’s moves
Removed Moves: Icicle Spear, Icy Wind, Powder Snow, Fairy Wind, Mist, Aurora Beam, Hail, Aurora Veil, Blizzard, Avalanche, Dazzling Gleam, Giga Drain, Ice Beam, Play Rough, Triple Axel
Flavor/Design: Kantonian Frosmoth has a green, scaly body that is longer and leaner than its Galarian counterpart. Its wings are tipped with claws and have a flame-like pattern of red, yellow and black. Its head is more reptilian than insectoid in shape, with long horns that resemble (and function similarly to) antennae. Kantonian Frosmoth is very defensive of its territory and will viciously attack anyone who tries to do harm to it or its habitat.
Competitive: The combination of Dragon Scales and Eviolite makes Kantonian Frosmoth insanely specially bulky. Though it should by no means be used as a special attacker, Quiver Dance is still a fairly good option for it, making it even more specially bulky while boosting Speed. However, it’s very frail physically and its defensive typing leaves it open to Rock and Ice moves (among others). Kantonian Frosmoth faces another problem—it’s forced to choose between Eviolite and Heavy-Duty Boots, so it either loses out on its titanic special bulk or takes massive damage to Stealth Rock. It’s going to be niche at best, but that kind of special bulk can’t just be glossed over.

Behemoth
Type:
Bug/Dragon
Stats: 90/135/70/100/90/85 (570) (+20 HP, +10 Atk, +10 Def, +35 SpA, +20 Spe)
Abilities: Tinted Lens (HA: Compound Eyes)
New Moves: Titan Beam, Dynamax Cannon, Megahorn, Thunder, Dragon Pulse, Signal Beam, Kantonian Frosmoth’s moves
Titan Beam - Special Megahorn clone.
Height/Weight: 15.3 m, 940.0 kg (50’02”, 2072.4 lbs)
Flavor/Design: Behemoth has an enormous serpentine body, with colossal wings to match. It has shed its bodily scales and its body is now covered in white fur. Its head more closely resembles a grasshopper’s than a moth’s, but with large blue compound eyes and a set of mouthparts similar to a bullet ant’s. Instead of antennae, it has long, curled horns that grow larger the longer it lives. Its wings are enormous, sporting a complex pattern of brown, white, black, yellow, orange and red, with spots on the wingtips resembling reptilian eyes. Its back has ridgelike scales running along its entire length. It has six black, scaly legs tipped with draconic talons. Behemoth only appears in times of great crisis in the Kanto region and is seen as a defender of the region and its people. It is said that a Kantonian Frosmoth will only evolve into Behemoth once every thousand years. Ancient records show Behemoth defending the Kanto region from abnormally large specimens of Tyranitar, Hydreigon and Aerodactyl.
Competitive: Now here’s a real powerhouse. Tinted Lens and Compound Eyes are scary strong Abilities, but they’ve never been put onto anything actually threatening (aside from maybe Venomoth and AG Vivillon), or any Pokémon that has an actual Attack stat. Behemoth has a base 135 Attack and a movepool that can greatly benefit from Compound Eyes—Megahorn and Dragon Rush come to mind. On the special side, Quiver Dance pairs with a decent Sp. Atk stat and a massive movepool that can also make use of Compound Eyes—Thunder, Hurricane, Fire Blast and Behemoth’s signature move Titan Beam all become much more reliable options with it. Tinted Lens is another option, of course—there are only a handful of typings that resist Bug/Dragon/Fire already, and that number goes down to zero when you add Tinted Lens into the mix. Switching into Behemoth is pretty difficult for a lot of Pokémon, since it can be a Tinted Lens physical nuke or a special Quiver Dance sweeper. Behemoth does have some weaknesses, however. Quiver Dance sets are susceptible to being taken out before setting up and also have no real way to deal with Unaware, and while physical Tinted Lens sets can be a nightmare to switch into, Behemoth’s physical coverage outside of STAB is limited to literally three semi-viable moves—Fire Fang, Thunder Fang and Dual Wingbeat. Its below-average Speed tier also leaves it in danger of being revenge killed, even after a single Quiver Dance in the case of faster Scarf users. Its Defense is also nothing to write home about, so physical wallbreakers or sweepers are a pretty consistent way of taking it out.

“Behemoth” is probably my favorite Pokémon pun name I’ve come up with. I based Kantonian Snom on both the dragon-head caterpillar and the hornworm caterpillar, with Frosmoth being modeled after both the atlas moth and Western dragons. Behemoth is literally just Mothra with some dragon bits glued on. I made it 50 feet tall as a reference to the enormous size of kaiju; the smallest the actual Mothra has been is around 130 feet, but that’s almost double the size of the current largest Pokémon, so I don’t think it would really be reasonable to have a non-Gigantamax Pokémon at that size. Behemoth’s description also references other kaiju—Godzilla, King Ghidorah, and Rodan. Its BST is pretty high compared to everything else I submitted because I reworked this from a pseudo-Legendary idea I had once upon a time. Some people might call Dynamax Cannon into question, but Mothra’s entire shtick is using laser beams to fight giant monsters, so I think it works. I made this a Kantonian form because Tokyo, the setting of every kaiju movie ever, is in the real-life Kantō region. I also decided to not put Dragon Scales on Behemoth, as that would make it unreasonably strong. Originally, I gave Behemoth Earthquake as well, but then I realized that it would make banded Tinted Lens sets basically impossible to switch into, so I decided against it.

Unovan Morelull
Type:
Grass/Psychic
Stats: 40/35/45/65/85/15 (285) (-10 Def, +10 SpD)
Abilities: Effect Spore, Harvest (HA: Wonder Skin)
New Moves: Psychic, Psyshock, Hypnosis, Confusion, Future Sight, Trick Room, Infestation
Removed Moves: Moonlight, Dazzling Gleam, Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Signal Beam, Spotlight, After You
Flavor/Design: Unovan Morelull has yellow-gold colored mushrooms rather than the pink mushrooms of its Alolan counterpart. The mushrooms are more conical at the tips, and the mushroom stalks are in a wavy pattern rather than being straight. Unovan Morelull also has a third eye on its “forehead” (for lack of a better descriptor), which is closed. It is said that Morelull from the Unova region can see into the future and use their psychic powers to daze and confuse their opponents. A person can easily get lost in a forest full of Unovan Morelull, since they like to use their powers to distort the perceptions of passersby.

Unovan Shiinotic
Type:
Grass/Psychic
Stats: 70/45/60/90/110/30 (405) (+10 HP, -20 Def, +10 SpD)
Abilities: Effect Spore, Harvest (HA: Wonder Skin)
New Moves: Acid, Acid Armor, Acid Spray, Venoshock, Unovan Morelull’s moves
Removed Moves: Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Signal Beam, Spotlight
Flavor/Design: Unovan Shiinotic’s mushroom cap is red with many small white dots. Its mushroom cap is wider and flatter than its counterpart’s, with the fringe around the edge of the cap having a spiraling shape. The third eye present on its pre-evolution has opened and looks similar to Jirachi’s “true eye”. The pink part of Alolan Shiinotic’s lower body is red for Unovan Shiinotic as well. It secretes a special toxin from the fringe around its cap, which can intoxicate anyone who touches it. This toxin can also cause psychic visions and has been used in spiritual practices for centuries. It is suspected that Unovan Shiinotic can see the future by metabolizing its own toxins.

Hallucybin
Type:
Poison/Psychic
Stats: 110/65/75/110/130/40 (530) (+40 HP, +20 Atk, +15 Def, +20 SpA, +20 SpD, +10 Spe)
Abilities: Effect Spore, Bad Dreams (HA: Magic Guard)
New Moves: Sludge Wave, Psywave, Hex, Strange Steam, Nightmare, Topsy-Turvy, Unovan Shiinotic’s moves
Height/Weight: 1.5 m, 42.0 kg (4’11”, 92.6 lbs)
Flavor/Design: Hallucybin has a large mushroom cap with a spiraling tie-due pattern on it that shifts and changes colors throughout the battle. The spiraling fringe surrounding the cap now has an eye in the middle of each spiral structure. Hallucybin’s upper body is similar to Shiinotic’s, but wider. The third eye now has a constantly swirling spiral in the middle. The lower part of Hallucybin’s body is a mass of tentacle-like roots. Hallucybin causes powerful hallucinations in those nearby and can render someone unconscious with a single touch of its neurotoxin-coated tentacles. Its toxins induce vivid nightmares that can persist even after waking up.
Competitive: Hallucybin is an excellent special tank that has the privilege of being the bulkiest Spore user in the game. Having a 100% accurate sleep move and Bad Dreams makes Hallucybin a great Pokémon to take out any special attackers that threaten your team—putting them to sleep will deal damage over time. Since Hallucybin is slow, it usually gets an extra turn of Bad Dreams damage because the foe will generally have already moved before getting put to sleep. This all but guarantees that a sleeping foe will lose at least ¼ of their max HP, and if you’re running Hex, you can deal massive damage to a sleeping foe. Alternatively, combine Spore/Bad Dreams with Leech Seed and Infestation if you want to KO an opponent with residual damage in as little as 3 turns! Bad Dreams also makes it much more difficult for opposing stall sets to try and stall you out with Rest, since they’ll still be taking damage while asleep.

This line is based on hallucinogenic substances that are found in mushrooms. The most common of these is psilocybin, found in mushrooms of the genus Psilocybe, also known as “magic mushrooms”. Morelull’s design is based partially on the mushroom Psilocybe semilanceata, which is commonly used for both recreational and religious purposes. Shiinotic’s design is based on the more dangerous Amanita muscaria, which is also hallucinogenic and used in religious rituals. The third eye on the species is a reference to the Hindu, Buddhist and New Age concept of a “third eye” that is the center of psychic power. The spirals and tie-dye colors on Hallucybin are a reference to the visions of vivid colors and fractal shapes that many people experience while on hallucinogens, as are its extra eyes and tentacles. The line being able to see the future and being able to bestow that ability via toxins is a reference to the use of hallucinogens for religions and spiritual purposes. Having the line learn Acid, Acid Armor and Acid Spray is an oblique reference to the drug LSD, which is colloquially known as “acid”, and Hallucybin’s Hidden Ability being Magic Guard is a reference to the previously mentioned term “magic mushrooms”.

DISCLAIMER: Drugs are bad for you and you shouldn’t do them.

Kalosian Glameow
Type:
Normal/Ghost
Stats: 49/55/37/42/42/85 (310) (swapped Def and SpD)
Abilities: Limber, Technician (HA: Insomnia)
New Moves: Lick, Shadow Sneak, Tail Slap, Will-o’-Wisp
Removed Moves: Water Pulse, Feint Attack, Sunny Day, Rain Dance
Flavor/Design: Kalosian Glameow is white with black patches, similar to a “magpie” coloration. It is slightly heftier than its Sinnoan counterpart, with shorter, rounder ears and a thicker tail. Instead of fluffy white fur at the end of its tail, Kalosian Glameow has a white wisp-like flame similar to those at the end of Jibanyan’s tails. It uses the flame on its tail to light its way at night and to lure prey. Legends of “ghost lights” in the Kalos region are more often than not just sightings of this Pokémon.

Kalosian Purugly
Type:
Normal/Ghost
Stats: 71/82/59/64/64/112 (452) (swapped Def and SpD)
Abilities: Thick Fat, Technician (HA: Cat Nap)
Cat Nap - Clone of Early Bird.

New Moves: Phantom Force, Swords Dance, Curse, Slumbering Strike, Kalosian Glameow’s moves
Slumbering Strike - Normal-type Facade clone that doubles in power when the user is asleep.
Removed Moves: Roar, Water Pulse, Sunny Day, Rain Dance
Flavor/Design: Kalosian Purugly has the same magpie coloration as its pre-evolution. Its tail is white with black stripes with a flame on the end similar to that of its pre-evolution. Unlike its Sinnoan counterpart, Kalosian Purugly does not wrap its tail around its waist, instead holding it high up in the air. Kalosian Purugly’s ears have white flames at the end of them similar to the flame on its tail. It sleeps whenever it wants, with no relation to the time of day or night, but it always wakes up quickly. It likes to crawl inside boxes and other small spaces to sleep. The larger the flame on a Kalosian Purugly’s tail, the more respect it will earn from its peers.

Purradox
Type:
Normal/Ghost
Stats: 101/102/69/74/94/115 (555) (+30 HP, +20 Atk, +10 Def, +10 SpA, +30 SpD, +3 Spe)
Abilities: Comatose
New Moves: Poltergeist, Double-Edge, Yawn, Destiny Bond, Perish Song, Kalosian Purugly’s moves
Height/Weight: 2.0 m, 43.8 kg (6’07”, 96.6 lbs)
Flavor/Design: Purradox’s main body looks exactly like Kalosian Purugly’s, but it is sitting in a cardboard box fast asleep. Its tail is held up high, and a ghostly version of Purugly is emanating from the tail, with the tail of the ghost and real versions being connected. Purradox has baffled scientists, seemingly being both alive and dead at the same time. Its physical body is alive but in a vegetative state, so its spirit is still bound to the body. However, since it is straddling the fine line between life and death, its spirit has almost entirely left its body. It uses the manifestation of its spirit to protect its physical body from harm. From time to time, it will briefly regain control over its physical body and launch a devastating attack.
Competitive: With a unique and amazing defensive typing that has only one weakness, good special bulk, high Speed, strong STAB and immunity to status, Purradox is a great choice for many team archetypes. Comatose gives it a consistent 140-power Slumbering Strike, which is excellent in combination with Poltergeist, especially on Choice Band or Swords Dance sets. With Comatose Sleep Talk, you can even run Swords Dance on a Choice Band set if you’re an absolute madman. It doesn’t get much in the way of strong physical coverage outside of its STAB—its best options are U-Turn, Sucker Punch, Knock Off, Play Rough, and possibly Stomping Tantrum. Its physical bulk is also lackluster. Strong physical Dark-types, especially physically defensive Normal resists like Tyranitar and Bisharp, can easily dispatch offensive variants of Purradox. Purradox, however, isn’t just limited to offensive sets. Its high Speed and access to U-Turn, status moves and Taunt makes it a good utility Pokémon, and Taunt combines with its immunity to status and trapping to make it a phenomenal stallbreaker. However, it is vulnerable itself to faster Taunt users. Purradox can also be revenge-killed fairly easily by strong hits from faster Pokémon or Scarf users. Lastly, Purradox lacks any form of recovery, including Rest, so it can be worn down throughout the match and has trouble switching in repeatedly against hazards.

I agonized over what to do for a Normal/Ghost type, since they’re basically diametrically opposed to each other. I finally settled on a reference to one of the most famous misinterpretations of quantum mechanics—Schrödinger’s Cat. The first two parts of the evolutionary line are based on will-o’-the-wisps, while Purradox itself is a (very inaccurate) representation of the Schrödinger’s Cat “paradox”, which purports to show the problems with the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics. I stripped away as much as possible of the physics talk because that adds nothing to design or flavor and was left with the idea of a cat in a box that is simultaneously both alive and dead. The closest state to both of those that I could think of was someone in a coma, so I decided to give it Comatose and work backwards to give its pre-evolutions sleep-related Abilities as well. Slumbering Strike is born of my annoyance at Facade not being boosted by sleep, and Cat Nap is an idea for an Early Bird clone that I’ve had for a while. Some people might notice that Purradox weighs exactly the same as Purugly and is exactly twice as tall. This is intentional—it gains no weight, since all that’s added is a cardboard box and a ghost (neither of which add anything significant in terms of weight), and the ghost is the same size as the physical body, doubling its total length/height/whatever metric you use to measure a Pokémon’s size.

Kantonian Dunsparce
Type:
Dragon
Stats: 90/80/70/65/65/45 (415) (-10 HP, +10 Atk)
Abilities: Serene Grace, Pressure (HA: Intimidate)
New Moves: Dragon Dance, Dragon Breath, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Outrage
Removed Moves: Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Take Down, Double-Edge, Endeavor, Retaliate, Last Resort, Strength
Flavor/Design: Kantonian Dunsparce is slightly larger than its Johtonian counterpart, with significantly larger and more draconic wings. It has a brown-and-gray color scheme and a more aggressive look on its face. Its tail is covered in spikes. Kantonian Dunsparce exhibits very few changes from its Johtonian counterpart, as the two regions are separated by little more than a mountain range. However, Dunsparce was unable to flee by burrowing underground due to the high population of Diglett in Kanto, and therefore was forced to adapt, becoming better at combat. It can fly longer distances than its counterpart thanks to its larger wings.

Dunspark
Type:
Dragon/Electric
Stats: 110/65/120/110/65/80 (540) (+20 HP, -15 Atk, +50 Def, +45 SpA, +35 Spe)
Abilities: Serene Grace, Drizzle (HA: Levitate)
New Moves: Hurricane, Volt Switch, Discharge, Fly, Whirlwind, Twister
Height/Weight: 3.2 m, 100.0 kg (10’06”, 220.5 lbs)
Flavor/Design: Dunspark has a long, serpentine body whose length is covered by dark blue storm clouds. It sports a pair of large, black draconic wings with yellow lightning patterns, and its head has become more reptilian. The “drill” on its tail has grown into a generator similar to Zekrom’s tail. Dunspark summons storm clouds wherever it goes, shocking its prey with powerful bolts of lightning. The clouds surrounding its body are actually extremely dense and sturdy despite their fluffy appearance.
Competitive: Dunsparce gets way too many moves, which makes Dunspark an extremely dangerous Pokémon. It’s extremely useful as a physical wall with its phenomenal defensive typing and physical bulk, Levitate removing its susceptibility to most hazards and one of its weaknesses, and reliable recovery in the form of Roost. It can disrupt teams with moves like Glare and Yawn, phaze with Whirlwind, and even set up Stealth Rock. Of course, it’s no slouch offensively either. It can’t really make good use of Coil or Dragon Dance on account of its base 65 Attack, but its special coverage is all over the place—Draco Meteor, Thunder, Hurricane, Blizzard, Fire Blast, and even Hex for status-spreading sets. Drizzle sets get a powerful Thunder/Hurricane combo and Volt Switch to bring in basically anything, while Serene Grace sets will definitely cause ragequits thanks to Glare or Discharge paralyzing the opponent while you flinch them to death with Air Slash. It’s not too hot in terms of special bulk, and its Speed tier leaves a lot to be desired, so it’s vulnerable to being revenge-killed, especially by strong special attackers. Both of its STAB types also have fairly widespread natural immunities, which can allow opponents to switch in Pokémon that threaten Dunspark for free.

Like several of these designs, I came up with the name first and the actual design later. I’ve had the idea of a Dragon-type Dunsparce for a while, but then the name “Dunspark” popped into my head and I decided Dragon/Electric is the way to go. I also wanted to make a Drizzle user who isn’t Water-type because rain teams need some variety.

Bell Plants? Bell Peppers!
Pokémon: Alolan Bellsprout
New Typing:

New Abilities: Chlorophyll | Flame Body
New Stats: 50 HP / 70 Atk / 30 Def / 75 SpA / 35 SpD / 40 Spe [BST: 300]
Removed Moves: Acid, Acid Spray, Belch, Clear Smog, Poison Jab, Poison Powder, Sludge Bomb, Toxic, Venoshock
[Loses 9]
New Moves: Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Heat Wave, Overheat, Will O Wisp, Fire Lash, Flare Blitz, Ember, Incinerate, Fire Spin, Flame Charge [Gains 11]
Flavor/Design: Bellsprout in Alola quickly came to realise that the poisons it secreted as a defense mechanism which defined its use in Kanto were not as potent in its new island home. Thus, it developed its chemical makeup to shift from that of a neurotoxin, to that of Capsaicin, which causes anyone who eats it to feel as if there mouth was set ablaze. This useful tool gave rise to this new variant, which spits flames and burning chemicals at its foes rather than poison and acid. Bellsprout in Alola look almost identical to their Kanto counterparts, with the main difference is its head, which is now bright orange and slightly wrinkled.

Pokémon: Alolan Weepinbell
New Typing:

New Abilities: Chlorophyll | Flame Body

[Loses 9]
New Moves: Same as Prevo + Destiny Bond, Confuse Ray, Curse, Astonish [Gains 15]
Alolan Weepinbell have the same basic shape, but now it has a bright red bell that ever so slightly has a more habanero shape than a bell shape. It is also much more wrinkled. The vine at the head is also notably on fire.

Pokémon: Habanecro
New Typing:

New Abilities: Shadow Tag | Flame Body
New Stats: 80 HP / 100 Atk / 65 Def / 105 SpA / 70 SpD / 70 Spe [BST: 490]
New Moves: Same as Prevo + Shadow Ball, Poltergeist, Phantom Force, Giga Impact, Body Slam, Hypnosis, Hyper Beam, Hex, Glare, Dark Pulse, Shadow Sneak, Night Shade, Spite, Telekinesis, Grudge, Psyshock [Gains 31]
Flavor/Design: The chemicals that used to set ablaze its enemies became too strong even for itself, and thus burned up most of this Pokémon's plant material. What results is not a Victreebel, but a much more sinister variant called Habanecro. This Pokémon is a predator to both animals and plant Pokémon, wrapping its sickly singed vines around its victims and completely draining them of their life energy, after which it promptly engulfs their remains in flames. Habanecro has a ghostly white and very wrinkly body, upside down just like its relative Victreebel. Its leaves are replaced with flames, and its long vine is shorter and has a flaming point at the end.

Pokémon: Unovan Dreepy
New Typing: Steel/Ghost
Abilities: Infiltrator, Levitate, Bulletproof
Stats: 28/30/30/70/30/82 (+30 in SpA, -30 in Atk)
Removed Moves: Dragon Tail, Astonish
Added Moves: Flash Cannon, Stealth Rock
Flavor/Design: Dreepy from Galar migrated to Unova, and the king of Unova already saw their potential as elite warriors due to their Speed and offensive prowess. Many millennia later, the evil Team Plasma uncovered the remains of these Dreepy, and just like what they did with Genesect, they resurrected it and added their own modifications. They were originally going to call it “Explealth”, a combination of Explosion and Stealth, but they instead called it Unovan Dreepy, since Ghetsis knew that Unovan Dreepy’s final stage evolution more deserved the name.

Pokemon: Unovan Drakloak
New Typing: Steel/Ghost
Abilities: Infiltrator, Levitate, Bulletproof
Stats: 68/50/50/90/50/102 (+30 in SpA, -30 in Atk)
Removed Moves: Dragon Tail, Astonish, Breaking Swipe
Added Moves: Flash Cannon, Stealth Rock, Nasty Plot
Flavor/Design: Unovan Drakloak evolve from Unovan Dreepy once they have become strong and sneaky fighters (at around Level 45). Once his army of Unovan Dreepy evolved into Unovan Drakloak, Ghetsis assigned them to work as partners of various Team Plasma members to wreck havoc across the Unova region.

Pokemon: Explealth (Explosion + Stealth)
New Typing: Steel/Ghost
Abilities: Infiltrator, Levitate, Bulletproof
Stats: 88/100/75/120/75/142 (swapped Dragapult’s attacking stats)
Removed Moves: Dragon Tail, Astonish, Breaking Swipe, Dragon Claw, Body Slam
Added Moves: Flash Cannon, Stealth Rock, Nasty Plot, Explosion, Spikes
Flavor/Design: Explealth is entirely based on the B-2 Spirit, which was also the origin of normal Dragapult. Ghetsis didn’t assign all Unovan Drakloak to Team Plasma Grunts, since he knew that the ones he left out were powerful Pokémon in battle that he trained them so that when they evolved, he would assign them to Team Plasma Admins, and eventually, N and himself. Explealth were used by Team Plasma to bomb tall buildings to scare Pokémon away from their trainers.
Competitive Scene: Explealth has a large offensive presence, being able to outrun most Pokémon. It also makes for nice role compression as an offensive hazard setter, a useful immunity to Ground-type moves thanks to Levitate (except against Excadrill with Mold Breaker), and a decent wallbreaker thanks to Nasty Plot and coverage. Here are some potential sets it can run:

This Mag-Tag Evolution line returns
:Magmar: :Magmortar:
Pokemon: Galarian Magmar
New Typing: Fire/Dragon
Abilities: Keen Eye, Flash Fire, Defiant (HA)
New Stats: 65/105(+10)/77(+20)/70(-30)/85/93
New Moves: Dragon Claw, Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Outrage, Fire Lash, Night Slash, Throat Chop, Close Combat, Slash, Psycho Cut, Swords Dance
Removed Moves: None
Height: 4’03”
Weight: 102.4 lb
Flavor/Design: Based on whatever Magmar’s based on and Dragoon Soldiers (hehe see why it’s dragon). All the yellow on Magmar’s body is now replace by navy blue, and it’s belly flames are now a little more streamlined. The flames on the back of its head now are dark red, navy blue, and fade into a purple towards the edges. Their is now only one back flame thing, and it loops back towards the front of the head, somewhat resembling a Dragoon’s helmet plume. The tail is slightly longer, and the flame on the tip is now formed into a shimmering firey sabre that follows the same color scheme as the head flame, it holds its tail in front of it, utilizing it as a sword.
Magmar in the Galar region, challenged by the many aggressive and powerful Pokemon that call Galar home, evolved to combat and ward off challengers, while also easing their ability to plunder and steal from weaker Pokemon.
Pokemon: Magdragoon
New Typing: Fire/Dragon
Abilities: Keen Eye, Flash Fire, Defiant (HA)
New Stats: 75/125/92/80/85/83
New Moves: Explosion, Rock Blast, Wild Charge, Gunk Shot, Dragon’s Roar (Dragon, Physical, 90 BP, 100% Acc, 5-8 PP, Effects: Power is multiplied by 1.5 if the opponents stats have been lowered, Description: The Pokemon fires an enormous amount of draconic energy out of its arm cannon, this move is especially good at finishing off foes that are already at a disadvantage.
Height: 5’07”
Weight: 165.4 lb
Flavor/Design: Inspired by Dragoon Soldiers, their Sabres, and their gun of choice, which was commonly known as a dragon. This Pokémon’s design has the same general form as Magmortar, and it has a plume that is a similar shape and color to Galarian Magmar’s, only differing in that it is a tad bigger and more embellished. The Magmortar’s red is replaced by a maroon, while the yellow on the body is substituted for navy blue. The fire patterns on the body also flow much smoother. Covering its face is a navy blue piece resembling the lower part of a Knight’s helmet. His shoulders are wreathed in purple and navy flames. His right arm is a cannon shaped like a dragon’s head, and his left is a fiery sword blade.
Only the most powerful Galarian Magmar which have honed their skills for years can evolve into Magdragoon. At close range, a shot from their arm cannon has the power of at least 32 Atomic bombs, their battles with the various other titans of Galar leave the earth shaking miles away.
Competitive: The idea behind Magdragoon in the competitive scene is to pivot in on a mon that is forced to switch and then use a combination of Fire Lash and Dragon’s Roar to bust through possible checks. He’s held back by a mediocre Speed tier, lack of a pivoting and recovery move, and so-so defenses, but he has access to Set-Up with Swords Dance in addition to a wide move pool of coverage options.
A Revolutionary Royal Evolution (That’s now done Evolutioning)
:Scyther: :Scizor:
Pokemon: Kalosian Scyther
New Typing: Bug/Steel
Abilities: Steadfast,
Justified, Hyper Cutter (HA)
New Stats: 70/110/70(-10)/55/80/115
New Moves: Metal Claw, Iron Head, Leaf Blade, Sacred Sword, Flash Cannon, Iron Defense, Calm Mind
Removed Moves: Wing Attack, Dual Wingbeat, Toxic, Steel Wing, Defog
Height: 4’11”
Weight: 129.1 lb
Flavor/Design: Inspired by the depiction of Musketeers. Kalosian Scyther now is primarily colored royal blue, although it’s scythes, which are now longer and thinner, resembling a saber, are a bronze color. It’s feet are colored black, and on its head is a bronze plume that flares off behind it. It now lacks wings.
Scyther from the Kalos region are known for their thirst for battle, and they will challenge anyone they come across to a one on one duel. However they are always honorable and chivalrous, and cannot stand to see the use of underhanded tactics.
Competitive: Not sure exactly how viable this Pokemon would be competitively, but it’s fast and has a solid attack stat and a much stronger typing than normal Scyther. It would likely function as a fast pivot that would use a whole lot of U-Turn. Hopefully the added Speed, lack of BP and Technician, and lowered Defense is enough to disting it from Scizor.
Pokemon: Regalizor
New Typing: Ice/Bug
Abilities: Steadfast, Justified, Royal Privilege (Magic Guard Clone) (HA)
Stats: 80/45/80/130/100/65
New Moves: Ice Beam, Freeze Dry, Icicle Spear, Ancient Power, Meteor Beam, Solar Beam (Reference to Louis XIV, The Sun King), Dazzling Gleam, Focus Blast, Stored Power, Nasty Plot, Snowflake Shards (Ice, Special, 50 BP, 100% Acc, 10-16 PP, Effects: This move has +1 Priority, Description: The User unleashes a flurry of fast moving shards of ice at the target)
Height: 6’00”
Weight: 246.3
Flavor/Design: Inspired by the extravagant and luxurious Royals of France in the 1600 and 1700s. Regalizor is slightly bulkier than regular Scizor and lacks wings. It’s body is almost entirely crystalline, somewhat like Alolan Sandslash’s Spikes. On its head is a gold crest resembling a crown. Gold is also found on the shoulders, shins, and in a pattern that vaguely resembles a Fleur de lis on the chest.
Regalizor are known for their cocky, entitled nature that is brought about by their dazzling looks. To many’s surprise however, they are far from a push over in combat, acting with surprising power and precision.
Competitive: I’m honestly not really sure what role exactly Regalizor would fill competitively. It has a ton of various set up options in Agility, Iron Defense, Calm Mind, and Nasty Plot plus Stored Power and Priority, meaning it could maybe function like a more balanced Double Dance Mag. It has a strong Special Atk stat with plenty of to boot, meaning it could function as Specs user as well. It’s ability helps patch up the terrible stealth rock weakness without needing to run heavy duty boots, which greatly frees up what it can do. The typing however is still less than stellar, and that combined with a low Speed is not the greatest.

Removed Moves: Rollout, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Explosion

Competitive: 80/105/65 with Eviolite ain’t bad, but Sinnoan Sudowoodo faces heavy competition from Rhydon as a Rock/Ground Eviolite user, with its only real advantage being Spikes.

WIP
Something that occured to me upon reading this; we can't make regional forms for a mon's home region, but what's the case for something like this? Is Bonsly considered Sinnoh since it was introduced in DP (therefore S!Bonsly is illegal), or is S!Bonsly ok since it evolves into a Johto Pokémon?

Hey all, I'd appreciate any feedback on any parts of this to improve :) It seems like some like it, but it doesn't seem to get (m)any votes. I'd be more than happy to rework it based on critiques. Thanks!

Resub - Hoennian Litleo

Pokemon: Hoennian Litleo
New Typing:

New Abilities: Sand Veil replaces Rivalry
Removed Moves: Dark Pulse, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Heat Wave, Iron Tail, Payback, Wild Charge, Flare Blitz, Flame Charge, Toxic, Bulldoze
Flavor/Design: Largely unchanged - only moves removed are those than are not shared in later forms. While young, they hide in the Sand Storms whipped up by their alpha Pyroar in their Pride.

Pokémon: Hoennian Pyroar-F
New Typing:

New Abilities: Sand Rush replaces Sand Veil
New Stats
: Att 109 / SpA 68 (Attack Stat Swap)
New Moves: Poison Fang, Poison Jab, Gunk Shot, Gastro Acid, Acid Armour
Removed Moves: Bounce, Dark Pulse, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Heat Wave
Flavor/Design: The colour shifts from the deep browns to that of a deeper purple, and the lighter brown to a very pale, sickly green. The flame-mane/topknot takes on a poisonous purple hue (as opposed to the pale ghostly purple flame), and it grows small ram or goat like horns, and the fangs become more akin to cross between a snake's fangs, and a Smilodon. Based on the idea of the female lion primarily doing the hunting and so being more physical than a male, and a hint to its New Stage Evolution, Chimeroar. Those who do not have the ability to withstand the sandstorm in the desert tend to leave the wild prides, these dangerous natural predators can often be found enjoying the heat of the nearby Mt Chimney, venturing within the sandstorm only as long as they can withstand it.

Pokémon: Hoennian Pyroar-M
New Typing:

New Abilities: Sandstorm replaces Sand Veil
New Stats: SpD 106 / Spe 66 (Stat Swap)
New Moves: Power Gem, Rock Polish, Stealth Rock, Calm Mind, Life Dew, Fly, Air Slash, Earth Power
Removed Moves: Iron Tail, Payback, Wild Charge, Flare Blitz, Flame Charge, Toxic, Bounce, Bulldoze
Flavor/Design: The male Pyroar from Hoenn begin to embody the land they come from, summoning vast storms of grit and dust, but their already sandy fur takes on a decidedly more rocky appearance, and the flamboyant mane instead becoming more jagged and pharaonic in its shape, hinting at its New Stage Evolution Sphyroar. The Darker fur begins to show square, brick-like striations in its patterning. They provide vital nourishment and guidance for the tribe in the desert, who would otherwise struggle to find the liquid they need to survive. As a rule, those Pyroar males who lack the ability to call up a Sandstorm are shunned, forming nomadic ferocious nomadic hunting packs. In battle the Hoennian Pyroar males can act as a rather decent special wall; the additional boost from the sand and the heightened special defense stat, especially in combination with the potential of an assault vest and neutrality to Stealth Rocks means that they can often do well switching in before threaning the target with a powerful Hyper Voice, Power Gem or Fire Blast.

Pokémon: Chimeroar (New Stage Evolution for Hoennian Pyroar-F)
New Typing:

New Abilities: Moxie/Sand Rush/Merciless
New Stats
: HP 96 (+10) / Att 120 (+11) / Def 82 (+10) / SpA 70 (+2) / SpD 76 (+10) / Spe 113 (+7)
New Moves: Poison Tail, Toxic Spikes, Baneful Bunker, Coil, Fire Lash, Fell Stinger
Flavor/Design: The name should be obvious. The Poison Flame Mane becomes a whip-like flaming tail, tipped with what appears to be a scorpion-like stinger. Meanwhile, its head takes on a more snake or dragon like appearance, with its goat-horns more pronounced. Depending on her temperament, a Chimeroar can either choose to shelter behind their acidic armour or scatter their toxic scales, or even simply rely on poisons running through her body, envenoming her opponent before striking back with merciless speed and fury. Against a dangerous foe, or when having the time to set up an ambush, Chimeroar have been seen to wrap their poison-flame tail around their body, or using the venom-stinger to deal finishing blows to their prey - woe betide any others who cross paths with an enraged Chimeroar.
Height; 6' 7" 2.01m
Weight; 312lbs 141.6kg

Pokémon: Sphyroar (New Stage Evolution for Hoennian Pyroar-M)
New Typing:

New Abilities: Moxie/Sandstorm/Petrify (Rock Type Aerillate)
New Stats: HP 106 (+20) / Att 68, Def 85 (+13) / SpA 120 (+11) / SpD 112 (+6) / Spe 66
New Moves: Meteor Beam, Eruption, Defog, Hurricane, Scorching Sands, Shore Up
Flavor/Design: Becoming a full blown ruler of the desert of Hoenn, these majestic beasts fully take on a similar form of an andro-sphinx, stone-like wings still capable of flight, whole their manes turn to the stone like headdress of a pharaoh in full. They keep their leonie face, but many of the flame like trappings remain hidden, save for the licks of flame visible from the brick like cracks in their hide, their burning eyes and the molten core when they open their huge Jaws to roar. Said roar can be absolutely devastating, capable of turning their opponents to stone, while they can call upon the blistering heat of the deserts and their own bodies to do horrific damage to those who threaten their former pride lands, occasionally launching searing beams of summoned meteors. Those Pyroar who kept their ability to manipulate the storms of the desert are rather impressive, now even tougher and can even call upon the powerful healing ability caress of the storm around them.
Height; 8'4" 2.54m
Weight; 604lbs 274kg

In short, the old picture of litleo being rumoured to be a manticore from leaked pictures in gen 5 being posted to the reddit encouraged me to make a mythologically flavoured creature RVE. Litleo is largely unchanged other than to become more survivable in the desert sandstorm due to its ground type and potential Sand Veil. However, it either evolves to become a capable huntress, where Sand Rush makes it a super fast Sandstorm Hunter if needed, before evolving into a Chimera, where its poison flavour gives it potential for 100% accurate +1 always Crit 120BP Gunk Shots. Meanwhile the Sphinx like Male Evolutions is a lot slower, but has kept the heavy special attack and defense investment. It has to be careful of ground types, as it does not have levitate or flying: however, with a 4* weakness to ground and water types, and being supported by Meteor Beam and Solar Beam, Power Herbs are rather decent option for an item. Still 4* weak and relatively low defense vs Aqua Jet or Earthquake is not somewhere Sphyroar wants to be so my be rather quickly forced out: just as well it has neutrality to Stealth Rock, the ability to clear them, and heal if it so wishes.

New Moves: Aqua Ring, Life Dew, Water Spout, Aromatherapy, Grass Whistle, Magical Leaf, Petal Blizzard, Petal Dance, Clam Mind, Heal Pulse, Healing Wish, Magic Coat, Miracle Eye, Hypnosis, Recover, Safeguard
Flavor/Design: This variant of Croagunk is based in Moor of Icirrus, they are used to jump from one pond to another and rest on lilys that float. They don't have any real predator in this habitat, so they don't learn to fight and their venom has chemically muted to a benefic salve that they use to cure their skin and keep it soft and smooth. With their evolution into Healotus, they enhance the positive effects of the liquid their skin produces, gaining healing effects that they use to cure themselves and other wounded Pokémon. When Healotus is present in an habitat, it is said to raise the life expectancy of all the Pokémon that live there, because they serve as the healer of the community. Many human medicines come from the secretion of their skin.

They live in small groups, and they are able to slow down falling by spinning the upper part of their head. Hoennian Heliolisk have their neck membrane shaped like an helix, that lets them fall slowly as with a parachute. They hunt alone or in groups of 1-3 members. Helikomodo are very strong and dangerous to face. They live near small ponds and they protect and attack with the poisonous needles around their neck.

Whoops, you’re right. Changing it to Unovan so it doesn’t cause any problems.
