Pet Mod Regional Evolutions (Concluded for Generation 8)

I already made a spreadsheet. Here it is.

You can join for spreadsheet edition if you wants; this will help me save time if you noticed something odd or to add the winners.
The HAs for my K!Pikipek looks to be changed from having Forewarn for all 3 stages. The stats got shifted around a bit too, but I realized that thats my error, since it slipped my mind that I had to make the BST of the third stage equal that of Toucannon.

Hoennian Heliolisk have their neck membrane shaped like an helix, that lets them fall slowly as with a parachute. They hunt alone or in groups of 1-3 members. Helikomodo are very strong and dangerous to face. They live near small ponds and they protect and attack with the poisonous needles around their neck.

Living on a diet of scavenged scraps and garbage, the stomach juices of this kind of Wingull are highly toxic. In a fight, it will shoot poison right in the face of its attacker.
Flocks of these Wingull mob anyone carrying food, pelting victims with volleys of corrosive spit. Docks where these invasive pests gather have to be replaced regularly.

Updated Type: Flying/Poison
Updated Abilities: Keen Eye/Corrosion (Hidden Ability: Intimidate)
Updated Stats: 40/20/45/75/45/45 = 270
Removed Moves: Water Gun, Water Pulse, Mist
Replacement Moves: Acid, Gunk Shot, Toxic
New TMs: Screech, Thief, Scary Face, Beat Up, Payback, Fling, Venoshock, Acrobatics, Snarl, Brutal Swing
Flavor/Design: In the tropical paradise of Alola, waste disposal is paramount - and while Alolan Grimer and Muk were a success story in this regard, they weren't the only Pokémon which were employed in attempts to keep the garbage left by civilization from getting out of hand. At some point, a small group of Wingull were trained to clear out any edible waste, mostly in the form of food scraps discarded by restaurants, including stuff that had begun to rot. Like Grimer, these Wingull changed into a new type and appearance - but unlike Grimer, they swiftly became invasive vermin on par with Yungoose, escaping out into the wilderness and forming a breeding population which still terrorizes Alola today, flocks of them descending upon anyone carrying anything edible like a scene from a certain famous Pokéwood horror movie.
Alolan Wingull look similar to their counterparts in Hoenn, but have a black "cap" over their heads, with the two feathers sticking out the back now giving the impression of a bandanna; this patch angles slightly downwards along the otherwise light gray head, making the beady eyes below it look angrier. The wings are also black in color, with two black stripes on the (gray) back and belly joining them like the striped shirt of a stereotypical pirate or robber; the tail feathers are also black. The beak and feet are now steel-gray, though the black tip of the beak remains; the beak itself has a few tooth-like serrations near the end of it on both lobes, making it look a bit like a pair of tongs. In the male, the bottom of the head and neck, from the back of the lower beak to the first stripe on the belly, is red in color, with the wing stripes and the ends of the tailfeathers also being red; in females, all of these regions are white.
Stat and Gameplay Changes: Alolan Wingull is slower, but sturdier than its Hoenn cousin, since I wanted a Flying/Poison-type that could take advantage of no less than five resistances including three double ones and churn out what's pretty much a flying tank (though that will obviously be more apparent in the regional evo). Starting from a stat spread of 40/30/30/55/30/85, I swapped the Speed and Sp. Atk. around, and then subtracted 10 points each from the attacking stats and put them in the defensive ones. Finally, I took 10 points from Speed and split them between the defenses, so all three are the same number now at 45. Alolan Wingull is thus hampered by its somewhat mediocre HP and speed, but it has decent defenses for a first-stage form, and greater special attack which allows it to benefit from impressive STAB in the form of Hurricane and Sludge Bomb (though rain team support will obviously be needed in the case of the former). Toxic combined with Corrosion can put a serious dent on things hoping to stall it out, while Roost offers decent healing to help it last a bit longer in a drawn-out fight.
Inspirations: Wingull is a perfectly good seagull, but the stories I've heard of gulls attacking people and small animals led me to want a more menacing seabird for this variant. It's based on a combination of a black-headed gull and a gull-billed tern, two seabirds native to Hawaii, with the acid spit being based on the same technique used by fulmars. Though as for the color differences based on gender... well, read on!

Flockin' majestic. (
src)

These flying pirates command great flocks of Wingull, and together they rain noxious acid down upon prey and enemies alike. They like to follow fishing boats, hoping to mug the crew for an easy meal.
By inflating its throat sac with poisonous stomach fumes, it can scare enemies away from their hard-won food. The male Frigatain has a bigger sac, its brilliant red hue being a symbol of his vitality.

Name origin: Frigate+Captain
Type: Flying/Poison
Abilities: Keen Eye/Corrosion (Hidden Ability: Intimidate)
Stats: 60/40/70/105/100/65 = 440
New Moves: Starting moves are Protect, Nasty Plot (changed from Soak), Smog (changed from Quick Attack), Agility, Air Slash, Growl, Acid (same as Alolan Wingull), Tailwind, and Supersonic. All other moves are the same as Pelipper's except Water Gun, which is replaced by Acid, Water Pulse, which is replaced by Gunk Shot and Hydro Pump, which is replaced by Sludge Wave.
Evolution: Level 25 (same as Hoennian Wingull evolving into Pelipper)
Flavor/Design: When Alolan Wingull fully embrace the life of crime they've turned to, they evolve not into the comparatively mellow Pelipper, but a MUCH nastier form that acts as the flock leader: Frigatain. Whereas Pelipper is quite compact, Frigatain is shaped more like Fearow (and has the same size and weight as Fearow, too - identical to Pelipper's in other words), with larger wings, a longer neck, and a narrower beak. The wings are like those of Pelipper, but twice as long proportionally, with the back edges being scalloped in a similar manner to those of Swellow; the tail is also forked like Swellow's is rather than Pelipper's short stub. The neck is noticeably thicker than that of Fearow, and covered in shabby black feathers except for the throat, which is red in males and white in females with a narrow black oval in the middle. The rest of the body is black in color, save for the chest and a "mask" around the eyes, which are gray; the eyes themselves resemble those of Pelipper, but with the upper part having an "angry" downward slant. Both lobes of the beak are steel-gray with the upper one having a black tip, but the lower beak extends only halfway down the jaw, the rest being taken up by the skin of the throat; the inside edges of the front half of the beak also have serrated edges resembling teeth for seizing prey, and the top half of the beak also has a petrel-style nasal tube shaped like the barrel of a blunderbuss instead of regular nostrils, which is what it uses to launch its Poison-type attacks. The top of the head also has a crest shaped like a tricorn hat rather than the swept-back crest of Pelipper, with a single feather sticking out the top whose color is dependent on gender.
Like the bird Frigatain is based on, its throat pouch can inflate like a balloon - or, for that matter, a frigatebird's throat pouch - forming a bit of a teardrop shape similar to a party balloon, with the black center marking turning into a frightening false face akin to that on Arbok's hood. In the female this pouch is white in color, while in the male it is vivid red and extends below the base of the neck, forming an oval rather than a teardrop. The wingtips, feet, "hat" feather, and the "tines" of the forked tail are also red in the male and white in the female.
Stat Changes: From a starting spread of 60/50/100/95/70/65, I switched the defenses around, and then took 10 points from Attack to give to Special Attack. What I said about Alolan Wingull applies to Frigatain as well, but doubly so because of its slow speed and impressive special stats. Unlike the swift, physically-inclined Crobat, this is a slow special tank with a blunderbuss glued to its face a la Toucannon, blowing up stuff in front of it to clear the way for faster sweepers to move in.
Inspirations: We don't have any explicitly pirate-themed Pokémon yet as far as I'm aware, and a magnificent frigatebird - one of my favorite bird species - seemed perfect for the job. While I'm pretty sure a ton of people have already made a Pelipper variant based on a frigatebird, they usually make it Flying/Dark because of the "evil" attributes, so I went with Flying/Poison for mine to distinguish it from the rest (plus a Flying/Dark tank would be too similar to Mandibuzz). Flying/Poison is only represented by Crobat in canon, so another Pokémon with that type combo can't hurt, right? Other influences include giant petrels, which are incredibly badass birds that are quite underrated in popular perception, and the extinct pseudotooth seabird, Pelagornis, one of the largest flying birds of all time! I'm quite proud of this idea, and while I know Cawmodore from the CAP board exists, hopefully Frigatain is different enough to stand out on its own.

(I have another potential entry idea for this latest round, but eh, maybe later - I'll add it in retroactively once I get the time to write it.)

A tale as old as time
Pokémon: Johtonian Seviper
New Typing:
Dark.png
Poison.png

New Abilities: Infiltrator | Merciless
New Stats: 73 HP / 100 Atk / 60 Def / 70 SpA / 60 SpD / 95 Spe [BST: 458]
Removed Moves: N / A
[Loses None]
New Moves: Fire Fang, Ice Fang, Thunder Fang, Beat Up, Lash Out, Corrosive Gas, Teleport, Burning Jealousy, Power Trip[Gains 8]
Flavor/Design: Seviper and Zangoose were both brought over to the region of Johto on two different occassions to combat the growing Ratatta infestation. Seviper was brought over first, and quickly became one if the top predators of the region, being extremely successful because Seviper adapted to hunting at night when its prey are tired and asleep, alll the while strengthening its already potent venom. It would break into burrows and nest and viciously attack without ever making a sound. Once Zangoose came back, they went on a war campaign against each other. Johtonian Seviper have a solid black body, with only two purple stripes, its tail blade markings, and its eyes visible. Its menacing fangs have now become retractable in order to hide its weapons.

Pokémon: Shinobite (Shinobi + Bite)
New Typing:
Dark.png
Poison.png

New Abilities: Infiltrator | Corrosion
New Stats: 83 HP / 114 Atk / 80 Def / 80 SpA / 60 SpD / 120 Spe [BST: 537]
Removed Moves: N / A
[Loses None]
New Moves: Johtonian Seviper + Water Shuriken, Hyper Beam. [Gains 11]
Flavor/Design: Shinobite evolved under the constant pressure to combat Johtonian Zangoose, developing a poison so strong it can even eat away at its metallic coat. Shinobite are the assassins of the night, these Pokémon are known to be extremely stealthy and are almost never before its too late. If one angers a Shinobite, they will not immediately retaliate - they will enter your dwelling at nightfall and deliver a painless bite filled with a concoction of venom, ending the accused. Their rivalry with Shogoose has escalated into a full on war, and these Pokémon will carry out full frontal battles with hoardes of them versus packs of
Shogoose, while also still attempting nightly assassinations against them. Shinobite have long, slender bodies, with its tail blade developing into thret6ye longer and more slender variants. Their fangs are bared once again, but can still be retracted for stealth purposes. They have two long slashes from a Shogoose's claw, one purple slash below its eye and another across its back.
Pokémon: Johtonian Zangoose
New Typing:

New Abilities: Justified | Tough Claws
New Stats: 73 HP / 115 Atk / 70 Def / 60 SpA / 70 SpD / 70 Spe [BST: 458]
Removed Moves: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Incinerate, Fire Punch, Solar Beam, Giga Drain
[Loses 6]
New Moves: Steel Roller, Iron Head, Flash Cannon, Metal Sound, Autotomize, Steel Beam, Smart Strike, Iron Defense, Metal Burst [Gains 9]
Flavor/Design: Seviper and Zangoose were both brought over to the region of Johto on two different occassions to combat the growing Ratatta infestation. Zangoose came after Seviper, and found a Seviper with a much more potent Poison and a more cunning and savage demeanor. As such, Zangoose had to evolve a more resilient means of poison resistance. They also grew to resent the devilish nature of Seviper, and strove to be more noble itself. Johtonian Zangoose's white fur is replaced with a mettalic grey look, and tufts of fur grow out and harden to resemble that of traditional samurai armor. Its claws have grown longer and now are solid metal.

Pokémon: Shogoose (Shogun + Mongoose)
New Typing:
Steel.png
Ground.png

New Abilities: Justified | Tough Claws
New Stats: 93 HP / 130 Atk / 104 Def / 60 SpA / 90 SpD / 60 Spe [BST: 537]
Removed Moves: Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Incinerate, Fire Punch, Solar Beam, Giga Drain
[Loses 6]
New Moves: Johtonian Zangoose + Sacred Sword, Earthquake, Stomping Tantrum, High Horsepower, SR, Bulldoze, Earth Power, Mud Slap, Sand Attack [Gains 18]
Flavor/Design: Johtonian Zangoose populations plummeted once Shinobite arrived unto the scene, with its high power and speed, and metal eating poison, it seemed like Johtonian Zangoose would be lost forever. But from these pressures to adapt, a group on underground dwelling JZangoose learned to exploit the Shinobite's sole ground weakness, and this Shogoose was born. Shogoose are a proud and militaristic species, having large expanses in their underground burrow that they call home. While dangerous pack hunters, they are respectful to the environment, and would never attack a creature out of malice, but solely for the procurement of food, and never take more than necessary to survive. Their war on Shinobite however, paints a different side to Shogoose, painting it as a ravenous warrior that only looks out for its own kind, and battles between the two rival species will often leave the area devastated and completely wiped out of life.
Shogoose resemble the classic Shogun armor, but in the Johtonian Zangoose colour scheme. It has one extremely long blade that is infact a claw that was extremely modified for combat. This claw never stops growing, and once long enough, young Shogoose will detach it and use it as a weapon. It has three red slashes across its chest and one under its eye, gathered from countless battles with Shinobite.

Pokémon: Luvdisc-Kalos
New Typing:

New Abilities: Rain Dish | Cute Charm
New Stats: 43 HP / 55 Atk (Swapped with Def) / 30 Def (Swapped with Atk) / 65 SpA (Swapped with SpD) / 40 SpD / 95 Spe | BST: 330
New Moves: Haze, Powder Snow, Freeze Dry, Mist, Ice Shard, Icicle Spear, Aurora Beam, Aurora Veil, Lovely Kiss, Heal Bell (+9)
Removed Moves: Scald (-1)
Flavor/Design: Kalosian Luvdisc's body become sky blue, with darker blue stripes upon it. Despite looking like a broken heart, Kalosian Luvdisc isn't always sad and instead help out people with broken heart to slowly feeling better with calm-inducing aurora. They are called the "Snowy Guardian" for this reason.

Pokémon: Amoureal (French words Amour + Boréal)
New Typing:
water.gif
ice.gif

New Abilities: Magic Guard | Dazzling
New Stats: 73 HP / 105 Atk / 50 Def / 105 SpA / 60 SpD / 147 Spe | BST: 540
New Moves: Movepool from Kalosian Luvdisc + Flash Cannon, Swords Dance, Calm Mind, Psyshock, Solar Beam, Solar Blade, Flash, Dazzling Gleam, Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Purify, Recover, Refresh, Ice Fang, Triple Axle, Iceberg Rush
(Iceberg Rush - High Jump Kick clone - Ice-type - 16 PP - If this attack is not successful, the user loses 50% of it's max HP as crash damage.)
Flavor/Design: 7 m (serpentine - measured from head to tail) | 135 kg | In the past time of Kalos, Gyarados quickly became on constant rampage, playing a part of Kalos' Dark Plague era. One of the Pokémon that helped keeping those in check are the ancient Pokémon called Amourealis, with their ability to calm down even an entire army of Pokémon with a big enough number, a parallel to Milotic.

Unlike Milotic, if Amourealis' method failed to work, they will go into the attack, lest people and many of the environments will be destroyed by the still-rampaging Pokémon. It turned out today that Kalosian Luvdisc can evolves into those beautiful, yet powerful Pokémon. Their design is similar to Kalosian Luvdisc, but gained very long pair of tailfins that give them a serpentine shape. This allows them to move very fast even outside of water does to their arrow-shaped body and strong, agile fins.

Competitive Uses: Amourealis is designed to be a revenge killer or a fast set-up sweeper, making up for the mediocre defensive typing and awkward offensive Type combination. Physical sets benefit from either Aqua Jet or Ice Shard, which while overkill considering it's very high base Speed, will help out stopping targets with increased Speed, particularly pesky physical Dragon-types spamming Scales Shot. A base 147 Speed allows it to barely outspeed Dragapult, and special sets have Freeze Dry to get opposing Water-types off it's track. Magic Guard can help dealing with Hazards and Iceberg Rush's crash damage, or Dazzling can be used instead to laugh at Priority moves, especially Mach Punch.

Competitive Flaws: It is very frail, worse than Dragapult's and Cinderace's bulk even. It also only have very few resistances, making it very unsafe to switch-in against any attacking foes. Iceberg Rush, while very powerful, is very risky to use without Magic Guard, and Dazzling sets have to run Heavy Duty Boots if hazards would prove too much against it. Their attacking stats are barely above average and will be pressured by walls capable of taking damage if Amourealis have no Super Effective moves against them, although even Corviknight have to be wary of Lovely Kiss.

Speaking as someone who beat Pokemon Soul Silver with a Luvdisc alone, I'm shocked Luvdisc didn't get an evolution in Gen 8

Especially considering that Heart Scale isn't needed for Move Relearning anymore.

Anyways, voting phase is now open, although I will allow you to vote less than six if you don't think there are many submissions you personally think are winners.

Alolan Falinks has a lower BST than the Galarian one (470 vs 309), which I’m not sure is legal.
In situation where Alolan Falinks line wins, I will change Alolan Falinks' BST to match Galarian Falinks. I don't disqualify anything with one rule broken that could be easily fixed, I'm only severe at anything blatantly broken or broke too many rules at once.
