Termitan: When I said we needed a bulky Ground-type, this is not quite what I had in mind. It's not the strongest thing on the planet on paper but its offensive typing and especially Tinted Lens will go a long way at patching that up. We don't have many mons with good special bulk as is so Specs is not easy difficult to find an answer for in this meta outside of like Koalpuff, and nothing is stopping it from "teching" physical sets that have Jet Punch instead of I guess Esper Wing. Interesting mon and I think Surge Surfer sets could've been cool but I'm not a fan.

Porcunite: Well we already have a bunch of Steel-types, so that's a point against this, but that aside it feels a bit underpowered in all honesty. Its special bulk is very solid, defense stat sucks but it's fast and also decently offensively threatening, right? Well, no, and I wouldn't want it to be too strong but this steers too far in the opposite direction. This thing's offensive movepool is absolutely atrocious, with everything it gets either having a bevy of resists or being very low base power. If it got one half decent coverage move or maybe 50% healing I'd consider it a lot harder but I don't see why you would reasonably want to add this to a team. Its special bulk is fine in a vacuum but we just have too many other Steel-type options and what this does different is just way too little to justify.

Barracton: I don't have a particularly strong reason for why but I feel like no matter what this mon ends up doing, if anything, it'll just be really annoying and not provide anything good to the tier. My mind jumps to Rain sets to pair with Lumimorph with Swift Swim and STAB water stuff but its physical bulk may need to do a lot of heavy lifting since even at +2 its Speed tier is unimpressive. Its physical movepool really sucks so if those don't work out I would expect Calm Mind sets to be standard for it. We really don't need another mon with this big of physical bulk, and Apple Acid could make it really obnoxious to switch into, especially with Surf not really having too many resists in this meta that I can recall. Maybe it's too weak, and maybe its low special bulk and Speed would hold it back, I dunno. I just don't think we need another big physical stat stick unless we really go out of our way to justify it.

Horroala: I could see someone telling me they find something interesting here but I'd disagree with them. That Speed tier is absolutely giant, going above even Radiore and Zephyrelp, and its typing does lend itself to running Specs pretty nicely...but it's just so weak. Why would you run this over Banded Elemadillo? Well, STAB Sludge Bomb having a 30% Poison chance is cool, you could pair this with other offensive Ghosts to pave the way for this thing's uncontested Speed tier to shine through, and before anyone mentions Surf that doesn't help at all against Giranium so I wouldn't bother. Probably the biggest thing I can see in favor of this is Healing Wish, which naturally fits very well into the role this is trying to have. You could argue this would have a similar dynamic with Elemadillo as the Latis did in the later gens that they both had a niche in OU. I still think this is a bit too weak for that argument to hold much weight though. Should mention Blizzard in the unviable moves because I forgot to bold it on the Discord and most people don't sift through the unviable moves.

Dragophy: Easily the most interesting mon here to me. This would function as a decent answer to Flamester, Flazam, and physical Vaporwave variants among other things. I don't feel like this treads into the "crazy physical wall" issue that Barracton has because its bulk isn't nearly as insane while it also lacks recovery and does lose out on like Hunttar for example. Also could possibly do alright into Slowghast with Springtide Storm, which does hit Bellena alright as well, but that might not be ideal. Stealth Rock and Knock Off are pretty cool here for the usual reasons but this does also get Core Enforcer, plus some tech options like Jet Punch if you're running Sap Sipper, Haze, and Refresh. The big concern here kind of like Horroala as that this might just be built for too low of a power level, but it checks those aforementioned mons well enough while also doing other valuable stuff that I think it could be fine here.

Termitan: Ground-type is very scary by default when the most common types by far are Ground-weak (Rock, Steel and Electric). Tinted Lens, Electric secondary STAB and its many movepool options take it to the next level. Another problem, this mon can run physical, special or mixed. Imagine bringing in a blanket special check like Koalpuff just to be hit with a physical move. Our bulkiest mixed wall Allynite is weak to Ground. This will get a big, fat "No" from me.

Termitan and Dragophy have been added, which leaves only 3 slots before the last chance slate.

Venoapi: So the bulk calcs to being pretty frail, but not the worst out there. A bit better than something like Greninja but worse than Keldeo. Special attack stat is reasonably high, Speed tier is very solid but not uncontested, and Blue Flare compliments its STAB combination very nicely. Being a fast offensive Mortal Spin user is cool and Vacuum Wave isn't great but might have its place. I don't see anything wrong with this. If it had any worse of an offensive typing I'd probably be against it but as far as I'm concerned this should fit the meta nicely.

Dinopet: Far from the weirdest Pokemon we've gotten in terms of flavor but it's interesting in that this is a very simple Pokemon to be potentially broken. Doesn't have obscene stats, moves, or abilities but it all comes together to possibly being too much. Radimite, Stunecko, Allinyte and Zephyrelp would probably be good answers to this but Knock Off makes all of those very possible for this to break past for their own reasons. Most of those are solid in the short term though and forcing it to click Knock Off and leave might be fine in more fast-paced games. If you look at this as a slower breaker then that would change things as well since this gets outpaced by 18 of the 44 Pokemon currently in the meta and its Sp. Def is horrible. I'm gonna be voting no on this one. Could be fine, potentially even nice to have more physical stuff that gets past Slowghast, but it could easily end up making fat teams way harder to run. Also is worth note that we do already have Bellena who has physical boosting, solid Attack and matches its typing.

Oystoni: We need a good bulky Water but we do not need one that is this fat. We also did not need it to have a good attack stat, Swords Dance and V-Create.

Bonking: Would be fun if it got real stats but unfortunately this thing is horrible. Would need way more boosts to get started than its actually really high bulk would allow for.

Searshrew: If we were desperate for hazard removal I'd unironically consider this. That typing is atrocious for what this thing is trying to do but the bulk is really high, Body Press is there to keep your offensive presence from being horrible, Misty Surge is cool, and Flip Turn and Memento fit very naturally on this kind of Pokemon. Unironically would not be the worst spinner out there for how it'd soft check so much stuff that can't hit this super effectively or click Knock Off into it. There's just no reason to run this on a team over our current removal options though, and I think the other one we got this slate is just leagues better of an option.

Cool slate overall even if I'm ultimately only going to vote yes for Venoapi. More points of interest than a lot of our more recent slates.

Venoapi: Cool special attacker with Mortal Spin hazard removal and Fire coverage to deal with Steels.

Dinopet: Not the bulkiest but the typing is pretty good defensively, and SD makes its Atk skyrocket. Has coverage for everything, and can throw off Sacred Fires and Knock Offs with impunity.

Oystoni: Yeah, understandable, have a nice day.

Bonking: Looks a lot like Scream Tail with no reliable recovery. Maybe RestTalk CM sets could have some merit.

Searshrew: Bad typing, bad offenses with a mainly offensive movepool, bad speed. Definitely not a broken No Retreat user.
