Pet Mod Roulettemons [Finished Mod + Now with Random Battles!]

Alright, so Hyperoach won this slate! It will be added to the sheet shortly, and I'm also probably gonna sprite it soon, I have a pretty funny idea for it that those of you on the Discord have seen.

194063

Not a finished design. I'm giving it more legs, making the limbs a bit more jagged for a lack of better terms, and I may change its color scheme.

Now for the new slate...

Synchronoise is a move, the ability is Synchronize.

Barracoth is a great mon. 75/146/139 with Shadow Shield, Roost, Spiky Shield and Toxic. Balanced because it's taunt bait. Also because it takes 2x from rocks.

Pengith's weird. Not sure if it's good, great or straight up broken. Real bad typing defensively and poor Speed, but that bulk combined with Fluffy, and that high Attack combined with amazing physical movepool... I dunno.

Rockodile is a no from me. 177 Attack and that physical movepool? Nuh-uh. Quick Feet lets it outspeed max investment base 125 mons, either by running Toxic Orb or by switching into a status move. Throw in Swords Dance, Z-Conversion and two different priority options and that thing becomes versatile, unpredictable and unreasonable. Quick Feet + Z-Conversion outspeeds Scarfed base 125 mons.

Hippopuna is a lovely slow wallbreaker. Has everything you could ask for, except a boosting move. Ghost/Ground is good offensively. Nature Power gives it a boosted Psychic under Psychic Terrain. Nature's Madness lets it wallbreak things that resist its moves. However Ghost/Ground typing is full of weaknesses so it's balanced.

Flamash seems extremely annoying. 115/97/146 bulk with both Strength Sap and King's Shield, on top of Glare. However I don't see any other tool it could use besides that.

I mean to be fair, its priority is non STAB Aqua Jet and non STAB First Impression, and even with Quick Feet, 67 speed at +1 isnt exactly blitzing much. Also you say Quick Feet + Z-Conversion, but how will you activate Quick Feet while doing a Z-Conversion set. I'm just saying, this mon looks good, but doesnt look broken to me at all.

Not posting my thoughts because I don't have much time on wifi anymore (I can use cell service on my phone but can't make long posts like this), but I do have a few things to share regardless. First off, I have a new sprite that some of you on Discord might have seen -

Hyperoach (Goddem).png
- Well his stat spread is similar to Crazefly, they're both insane, and I feel like being lazy, soooooo I'm done. This is all you're getting from me.

Hyperoach.png
- Here's the ACTUAL sprite. I posted the "concept art" for it here but I made a few changes. I gave it more arms, and I made it a bit more hunched over as well. Red is the color of my favorite sports team, and 10 is my favorite number, so I just put those there as placeholders. I can't imagine this being an actual Pokemon, but this is a fan project, and I can make something pretty goofy if I want to.

Hyperoach (Shiny).png
- And here's the Shiny. I made it green because I don't know. I'm open to changing this, and I'm open to criticism on both of these.

And that's not all! Here's another unfinished one...

flamyle.png
- Here's Flamyle. There aren't any words that end in "-yle" that I felt would fit here, so I revived a dead concept I had and made an exploding missile! Once again, I couldn't see this as an actual Pokemon for obvious reasons, but I feel like it's weird enough of a design to fit here. The cloud above his head is old, and I'm going to make it look not terrible later.

Flamyle (Shiny).png
- Here's the Shiny. Most missiles are apparently white which I learned after making the base sprite and having the gray flames become more like smoke seemed like a fun idea to me.

Once again, THIS IS UNFINISHED. Expect it to change in many different ways when I post it again here.

That's about it! I'll be opening voting tomorrow.

Voting phase has begun! I will not be voting this time around unless the wifi comes back for good.

And with that, Barracoth narrowly wins this round! Sheet has been updated.

Onto the next slate...

That's about it. I always have an issue of waiting way too long to finish slates, I need to work on that...anyways, discussion phase has begun!

Chickou: Yet another mono-Flying type. To be honest, I think this got dull after Albatrygon got in. Its moves are solid, but its stats and abilities are nothing to write home about.

Armazar: I wish I could say with all certainty this thing is balanced. It has access to Wish plus Baneful Bunker, and Water Bubble allows it to delete one of its weaknesses. It won't be using Water Bubble for offense due to it not getting any physical Water moves, but it doesn't need it with a combo of Play Rough + Thousand Arrows. It's a defensive mon by default, but considering it gets literally perfect coverage on top of Wish and a special version of Protect, it's capable of taking on just about anything. The stats are super minmaxed, which is what worries me, so I'm gonna err on the side of caution and say it's probably a no-go. It is very cool, but cool does not equal balanced.

Toados: Defense like paper makes me inclined to not like this, but it has potential as an Unburden user. I can see it working like how Drifblim uses Unburden, for support. It can fire off fast Encores, Clear Smogs, and Destiny Bonds, as well as setting up T-Spikes and pressuring certain mons with a strong base SpA. It has potential, but I couldn't say how much without the meta being developed.

Lobstaring: A solid fast offensive mon. This thing gets U-Turn and Trick, which makes it a perfect Choice Band user. It has both Fighting and Psychic coverage, and even Flying coverage if you want to beat Bug types. And, because it's not as fast as the very fast mons (underspeeding Koatric by one point), they can reliably check it. Overall, I like it. Also, I have a good idea for its sprite.

Oddamander: Kinesel feels better than this, but it is notably bulkier. It also packs some very notable coverage in Mind Blown and Seed Flare, as well as STAB Psycho Boost. It's probably better for setting Trick Room, but it's a worse mon inside of Trick Room than Kinesel.

Chickou is boring.

93/126/167 bulk... Steel/Fairy... Water Bubble... Wish and Baneful Bunker... Counter and Heal Bell... Eeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhh...

Toados seems like it's all over the place, but also really solid. If we get a Psychic Surge support mon, Unburden + terrain boosted Psystrike off of 154 SpA is sick as hell. As it is, I'm not sure if it would be an utility mon or an Unburden sweeper.

Lobstaring has kind of a shallow movepool. No priority, no set-up, no recovery. All of its coverage moves are 80 BP or lower except for the Fighting-type ones. However, U-Turn+Natural Cure, high Speed, and overall minmaxed stats might make it really good.

Oddamander is a good mon, but I agree with Keegan about Kinesel seeming better.

Alright, Toados wins that round. It's now on the spreadsheet, and the others (rip Lobstaring it was one vote off) were added to the rejected builds.

That's about it! Discussion phase has begun!

Chimpanzory: A mono-Fighting monkey is something we already have, but it is very different to Brawnkey. However, I don't know if this thing would be balanced. It gets very powerful offensive moves like Light of Ruin (and lots of health to burn) and Hydro Pump, as well as actually getting Focus Blast as a Special Fighting type, all while punishing switches with Analytic or getting more crits with Super Luck.

Magicida: A very good Trick Room mon, but it unfortunately can't set it. Regardless, it gets a solid amount of coverage, like Play Rough and Poison Jab, as well as utility and other options, like Spikes and First Impression. Rattled is intereting, since it's weak to all the types related to it, but it has enough bulk to where it might be able to take a hit, and Dragon Dance once to be at +3 Speed and possibly take on slower mons. Poison Touch is probably its best ability though. It might be a bit much, but it's hard to judge.

Spinium: Boomburst, Oblivion Wing, Psychic, Flash Cannon, and Frost Breath, on top of 174 SpA and a Steel typing, as well as Slack Off and decent bulk. Sure, it's 4x weak to Fighting, but it also has all of Steel's resists. Also, this thing has a lot of Flying traits. Big Pecks and plenty of Flying moves. Probably not a good idea.

Voltarak: Ice/Electric has a lot of weaknesses and not too many resists, but for what it's worth, it can work. It can go for Elemental power in Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Fiery Dance, and Energy Ball. If you want a different type of coverage, you can run Technician boosted Hidden Power. Finally, it's fast enough to run a Scarf, and you can use Switcheroo to cripple your foe. Overall, I like it, but we have quite a few Electric types already.

Fiemeleon: Fast specially defensive utility, with a decent offensive option in Fusion Flare, good coverage, recovery via Cheek Pouch and Milk Drink, protection via King's Shield and Spiky Shield, and for some insane reason, both Agility and Autotomize. We do need more Fire types, but we already have a mono-Fire type that happens to be a reptile. I guess it's not unreasonable, but it's not my first pick here.

I’ll go ahead with this- voting begins now! I’ll likely vote in two or three days, then end voting the day after.
