RU Threat List

Thunder wave always hits, and it always paralyzes. Were you possibly thinking of thunderbolt, in which case the Ferroseed dosn't learn it.

Sorry, I guess I said that sentence with bad grammar. What I meant to say was that when you are paralyzed, then you won't move as often. You know when it says: Your pokemon is paralyzed! It cannot move! I think that will happen more often now. I'm pretty much done with talking about Ferroseed for now. Also, Skwog, when you switch in your murkrow, it can get poisoned, or paralyzed by Ferroseed. And I know what you're thinking. Prankster. But what if you can't move eh? Either that or you get poisoned by toxic, which then stalling aint so fun to do. Now with that out of the way, I will only post stuff about Ferroseed if I need to defend myself from your critisizms.

Get taunted.

Yea and taunt is obvious as fuck which lets you get a free switch in, sorry that I wont use a attack with my shitty non invested attack stat.

You have ferroseed you use t-wave as they go into taunt user, obvious taunt is obvious switch out to different pokemon, seriously taunt users are obvious as hell and if you stay in on it then you're an idiot honestly his attack is shit and its a waste of a moveslot to have an attack

What on earth are you talking about? Ferroseed is perfect taunt bait. Murkrow laughs all day at it.

Also, since when was murkrow RU? I thought it was UU. So if it is UU, then you are wrong. Cause this is RU. And that's what you use Ferroseed in.

Obviously you haven't played much RU -.-
If Murkrow wasn't a usable Poke in this tier, why would I bring it up as a check to Ferroseed? It doesn't give a squawk about Thunder Wave, and throws on a taunt or can Perish Trap you.

Sigh.... You haven't been listening have you? NO one is going to leave ferroseed to murkrow. You can see it a mile away that they're going to taunt you. And I know about prankster. But if it can't move, then it doesn't matter at all. Plus it can't stall if it switches into toxic.

Actually it kind of does matter in this tier. Murkrow it an extremely useful support Poke in any tier, and in a tier where the Pokes in theory aren't as strong as the OU and UU Pokes, Murkrow is a beast.

IF YOU SEND IN A FUCKING MURKOW TAUNT IS FUCKING OBVIOUS AND I GET A FREE TURN TO SWITCH! WHICH PART OF THIS IS FUCKING HARD TO UNDERSTAND? BEING TAUNT BAIT IS HELPFUL AS IT GRANTS FREE TURNS IF YOU CAN MAKE A BASIC PREDICTION BASIC PREDICTION

You switch, Murkrow gets a free Sub, Toxic, Thunderwave, Mean Look, you name it. Basic prediction.

Ummm, that's like saying since feebas isn't that good in OU or UU then it's a beast in RU.

Krow is far better than Feebas. Feebas is a beast in... I'll need to keep thinking.

Anyway, being Taunt bait is a fact of life for some Pokemon (like Ferroseed). Killing any Murkrows before Seed tries to set up might be a necessary precaution.

It's not like Murkrow is the only Taunter in the tier, either. And some Pokemon might carry more unexpected Taunts. Bottom line is: Be prepared. An always useful bottom line.

Still not the point, Taunt is an obvious move, what move can ferroseed use that would break a sub of murkrow's anyways? Nothing thats the answer this doesn't prove it needs a offensive move, it proves me right even more. Even if it's taunt bait taunt is predictable and sub+taunt is if not extinct rarely used combo on a rarely used pokemon within the RU tier first. It's a needle in a fucking haystack.
In most scenarios the taunt user doesn't have sub and you can see it coming easily and switch into said counter. Also murkrow won't have fun switching in on a thunder wave/toxic/leech seed so it isn't a sure fire way to beat ferroseed. It all comes down to prediction and your set.

*smirk* Just like you said Tenodera, there are other taunters out there to stop pokemon. Murkrow is also a guy who uses non attacking moves. So taunters can stop murkrow from setting up just like murkrow can do to ferroseed. Before any of you say anything, you can just put taunt on any pokemon that doesn't need to taunted. Then you catch it by surprise.

Good luck taunting Murkrow when it has a +1 priority taunt. Like you said, when the taunt is coming it's obvious.

Which is why you would give taunt to a pokemon that doesn't normally carry it. SURPRISE the murkrow. Then he can't fight back.

Alright guys, I think this argument can be settled. Fact is, Ferrothorn is Taunt bait. Usually things that are Taunt bait run an attacking move so that they can at least do something if they can't support, but running an attacking move on Ferrothorn is pretty useless since it's very weak. You might as well fill up its moveslots with support moves and just accept the fact that you're going to have to work around Taunters.

EDIT: I obviously meant Ferroseed, not Ferrothorn. Sorry.

@Skowg I like how you didn't reply to me

Yes that is the general point, that I was trying to get across, it takes a turn to switch so ferroseed accomplishes some goal while you do that.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I was getting sick and tired of having to post every minute to defend the poor dude. Now on to something else. How do you think the weather will be with good rain abusers and hail?

The he switches out, and your big surprise is gone. Meanwhile you're stuck with a pokemon with taunt who probably needs that moveslot for something else.

Fair enough,

Any use for rapidash in here, he has flash fire, low kick, and higher speed over entei. Also bounce, but lets be fair, its coverage is redundant when he is utilizing flare blitz.

I was thinking of using it as a speed baton passer.

[SET]
name: Flame Charge Pass
move 1: Flame Charge /Agility
move 2: Baton Pass
move 3: Substitute
move 4: Filller
item: Leftovers
ability: Flash Fire
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 HP / 4 Att / 252 Spe

Flame Charge increases your Speed by +1, 100% of the time, the exceptions being Flash Fire Pokemon and Protect, It also prevents you being taunt bait if you happen to want to run a support move in the last slot, I've slashed in Agility in case people are paranoid of other Flash fire pokemon or pokemon with protect.

Flareon can also use a similar set above but Rapidash is obviously superior

It's actually quite nice having a Flash Fire pokemon in this tier to switch into Entei's Flare Blitz.

Since Ninjask and Venemoth are currently both in this tier, they're obviously the better choice to baton pass speed with speed boost and quiver dance.

as for an attacking Rapidash set, Entei still does it better even if it's outsped by Rapidash, it has Extreme Speed to cover that and to a lesser extent Flame charge, unless you desperate need to run Iron Head to cover Rhyperior with probably won't do much damage anyway. The main thing Rapidash has over Entei is Flash Fire and maybe a couple of moves.

Entei will eventually get Flash Fire from Dreamworld but it won't get it together with Extreme speed and Flareblitz.

I'm really, REALLY tired of Master Win posting here. He keeps saying "how do you think rain will be?"

This tier is already set in place, and it has been for a long time, for god sakes. He hasn't played any RU obviously because he doesn't know what's in the tier and what's not, and he's a fucking dumbass with 90% of the things he says. Stop posting in my damn thread.

^lol.

Anyways, Miltank is a solid defensive choice in this tier, and is one of the best users of Heal Bell as well imo. It can sponge anything physical that isn't a STAB Fighting move quite well and spread status, instantly heal with Milk Drink, or even do a fairly decent amount of damage with Return. It's also surprisingly fast for a fat bulky wall designed after a lazy cow. Not many people realize it has base 100 speed >_>

Maybe not potent enough for a spot on the threat list, but this old GSC star has a lot of utility value once things like Primeape are out of the way.
