Format Discussion Scarlet/Violet Random Battle Sets

Quick attack on dodrio would be cool if dodrio ever got a banded set imo, the same way staraptor banded sometimes runs it? Idk if banded dodrio would pack enough punch to be something I'd want to see over the nasty SD set we currently have though, and rocks+recoil would be pretty awful with how frail it is.

All that aside though, is it possible to make sceptile's shed tail set an odd number of hit points? I know it's also got a life orb and hazards would invalidate this but it's so fast that I often find the most use from sceptile would be 2x fast shed tail, find the idea of being able to get something behind sub twice sometimes more useful than using any of its other moves when I've got a Mon in the back that doesn't get sub broken from any of my opponents moves. As the current hp is even it's currently not possible to do more than once, which is a shame imo.

It's not too big a change and wouldn't have a massive damage calc impact, but doing so would give this singular situational advantage that I sometimes really want? I never have the same issue with orthworm because that's usually taking a hit before the shed tail anyway, and of course regenerator makes the point moot on cyclizar, but it would improve my ability to do stuff with sceptile.

We do plan to add Choice Band Dodrio.

Shed tail cannot ever take 49% HP; it rounds up, not down, unlike most other things in Pokemon. As such, even HP is optimal. Shed Tail can't ever be used twice on Sceptile unless a Sitrus Berry is used, which we won't be adding as that suggestion has been denied over three times now.
 
Hi, just giving my opinion but the only issue would be now you could potentially not have a coverage move at all with DE, BB and QA but it does serve as a ok late game sweeper so I wouldn't deny this.

I should also add that this forces you to take recoil which your coverage moves are important for so I'm leaning a little on the no side.

is this set having a life orb an oversite or intended because i don't see why it's here, i'm fine with life orb clef but this moveset does not work with it

btw, we decided not to add quick attack to SD because it ruins coverage which is very important and dodrio is also already very fast and strong.

We, however, decided to have a choice band Dodrio set with quick attack as that allows it to have coverage still
