I can't believe I have to stop being a spectator again, but I've come across something so silly it just has to be shared.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-96593833
Highlights:
> Destiny Bond Aegislash, possibly with HP Electric
> Flamethrower Aggron?? And it managed to burn!?? D:
> Yes, let's stack up ALL the statuses! Because using Toxic on a Burned Pokemon is possible, yup yup.
> Non-mega, physical Charizard. Heck, he doesn't even have a mega. (Though I think this point applies to me too)

Note: I'm TheApokelypse, and I have a reason for such a weird looking team! Let's just say I'm running an experiment using teams I find in fiction. Yeah. That should do.
Yay, let's spam this 8 PP move that only works if the opponent attacks me while he boosts his stats to the max! He'll totally fall for it.

updating again a little bit with the scouting team, we decided to give it another go for a few games and we stumbled upon a match that was particularly ......interesting. Some of the things we found included:

1) Literally every Pokemon except Muk had Rocky Helmet as far as we know

2) Spiky Shield/Leech Seed/Belly Drum/Needle Arm chesnaught

3) Sweet Kiss Blissey

4) what was apparently a specially defensive rocky helmet yanmega with silver wind, air slash, ancientpower, and roost

5) Power Up Punch/Shadow Sneak/Infestation/Venoshock Muk

Here's a full replay of the match here: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-96639364

and here's a screenshot of the muk's set: http://i.imgur.com/Z0nza2C.png

Last night, I dreamt I got a badge for my contributions to this thread. It was "Finder of Silly Things" or something like that.

Anyway, here's Random Shit volume 49: Stupid Time Change Edition
-Dat Beedrill (shame we didn't get to see that Unown): http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-96630743
-Torkoal.
-In the hax department, I saw a Landorus-T score 2 critical Stone Edges and 2 critical Earthquakes.
-Dragonite using EQ on Talonflame. Even better, the opponent switched to Thundurus-T.
-All sorts of stupid stuff here: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-96629725
-Flame Charge Talonflame. Gotta go fast.
-Self-Destruct Forretress.
-Seaking. With Skull Bash.
-Torment Cloyster.
-Life Orb Jellicent with the stupidest shit ever (aka Energy Ball).
-Mixed attacking Heatran with Iron Head.
-Arcanine using Flare Blitz and Outrage on said Heatran.
-Night Slash Aegislash.
-This just screams "in-game team": http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-96629661
-Echoed Voice Sylveon.
-Mean Look Umbreon. It also tried to Toxic a FEAR Aron.
-Attract Jolteon.
-Thunder Punch Y-zard.
-Hydro Pump Gyarados.
-Poison Jab Lucario. It's not like you have a SE STAB for Fairies...
-Drain Punch Alakazam.
-Rock Smash+Giga Impact Gliscor. It also tried to EQ a normal Rotom.
-Sky Attack Staraptor. No Power Herb.
-Quick Claw non-Sturdy Skarmory.
-Non-mega Mawile.
-So a +3 Mew is spamming Drain Punch... better bring in Heatran.
-Return Blissey.
-No Helix for you: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-96629424
-Clutch Mantine tho: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-96628761
-Yet another Scyther, plus a random Fire Spin Y-zard and a Synchronize Alakazam.
-X-Scissor Trevenant. What are you hitting with that, Malamar? Oh, and if you want to hit Tyranitar, just use Horn Leech.

Edit: You should totally switch Seismitoad in on Ferrothorn. And ragequit when my Landorus kills your Charizard on turn 1.
Edit 2: Okay, it's doubles, but still: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogondoublessuspecttest-96693603

Actually, I was noobish like 2.5 years ago. I still remember using Belly Drum/Selfdestruct/Thunderbolt/Shadow Ball Normal Gem Snorlax with Hardy nature and random EVs, Shadow Ball/Grudge Shedinja and Articuno. Then I learned about Physical/Special split. This information was like catalyst to my battling experience. So I think that main issue is lack of knowledge about P/S split

It could be true if you come from Gen 3 or earlier games, where moves were P/S based on type.
If someone started in gen 4, the P/S split for them didn't happen: a move was P/S based only on itself, so they could just see what move did more damage.

Turn 5

Bisharp used Sucker Punch!
The opposing Greninja lost 81% of its health!
Bisharp lost some of its HP!

The opposing Greninja fainted!

[Idiot] sent out Mandibuzz!
Pointed stones dug into the opposing Mandibuzz!
Turn 6

Bisharp used Iron Head!
A critical hit! The opposing Mandibuzz lost 46% of its health!
Bisharp lost some of its HP!
The opposing Mandibuzz ate its Sitrus Berry!
The opposing Mandibuzz restored HP using its Sitrus Berry!

The opposing Mandibuzz used Defog!
Bisharp's evasiveness fell!
Bisharp's Defiant sharply raised its Attack!
The pointed stones disappeared from around the opposing team!

There's nothing wrong with using drizzle and drought on the same team. Especially when the drought user is someone good like charizard Y. It's why some ubers teams use groudon and kyogre on the same team.

I don't mean to be mean, but a lot of this thread has been "The Bad vs. the Terrible" lately. Perhaps I'm just being a spoilsport.
alphatron, stop what your doing, and, right at this minute, make another epic warstory! Anywho, i saw one of those, lets use every type of weather and an aegislash! Teams again

Just saw a specially-oriented Crobat, with Sludge Bomb and Giga Drain.

Sludge Bomb I can kind of understand (though there's really not much point in running a special set in the first place), but Giga Drain? Really?

AwesomeFennekin

Banned deucer.
Saw a special oriented Talonflame with Fire Blast and Incinerate.
Fireblast I can Kinda understand, but INCINERATE? FRIGGIN' INCINERATE?!?!?!?!?! XD
EDIT: When I switched Porygon2 to it, found out it had Flame Body...
Other silly things:
-Vivillon in singles with Friend Guard (My Porygon2 traced it)
-Flamethrower Aggron
-Razor Leaf Meganium
-Special Malamar
-Flame Charge Delphox
-Toxic Garchomp
EDIT 2:
I saw a guy with a team consisting of the following.
  • Fling Chansey w/ Poke Ball (i'd calc it, but the calculator doesn't have poke ball)
  • standard belly drum azumarill...with choice band
  • a heatran that couldn't take a regular lucario's aura sphere
  • physically offensive stabless celebi
  • defensive aegislash
  • #speciallyoffensivetrevenant
Looked like a normal team, and turned out to be unexplainably idiotic.
I battled a specially offensive trevenant too! It did do lots of damage, most likely cuz of CM.

Looks like this thread is popular. Ah anyways,
Turn 35,
(Random person) switched in Salamence
(Me) switched in Heatran
Salamence used Fire Blast
It doesn't affect Heatran
Heatran's Flash Fire raised it SpAtk
Heatran used Stealth Rock
Pointed stones floated around the oppenent's team.
Turn 36
Salamence used Fire Blast
It's doesn't affect Heatran
Chat
(Random Person) hacker stop hacking
And yet another person calling me cheap for using baton pass. Guess he's embarrassed that he got 6-0 by a team with Mr Mime on it

all sets are in hide tags below!

Raikoo frisked the opposing Honchkrow and found its Chesto Berry!

:3 i try sent out playin steve (Togekiss)!
The opposing playin steve floats in the air with its Air Balloon!

Raikoo frisked the opposing Rhyperior and found its Focus Sash!
The opposing Rhyperior used Rock Polish!

Raikoo frisked the opposing Vaporeon and found its Liechi Berry!

Some aren't quite as silly as others (return krow for example), but they still warrant mention imo

Screenshots taken by me, TropiOUs, and jrp
