It is if you transition from Battle Spots to Showdown, like I did, especially since it's stated multiple times that Gen V tutor moves are outright banned for Battle Spot.
Well then some people didn't read the manual, since we don't use Nintendo rules.

Random Shit: Bright Powder, Ninjas, and a Massive Wall of Text Edition
-Heatran using Will-o-Wisp on X-zard.
-Heracross (pre-mega) somehow outspeeding an Ambipom.
-Tangela.
-Hitmonchan.
-Rhydon.
-Armaldo.
-Round Breloom.
-Non-mega Charizard.
-Water Pledge Greninja.
-His opponent being horrendously weak to said Greninja: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-137555991
-Flame Body Talonflame using Flare Blitz on an obvious King's Shield.
-Thunderbolt Galvantula.
-Dragonite daring to use Outrage when his opponent had Sylveon in reserve.
-Starly (was probably FEAR, but it wasn't sent out).
-Heatran using Earth Power on Talonflame. Overpredict much?
-Dusknoir. With both Shadow Sneak and Night Shade.
-M-Blastoise using Dark Pulse on Mawile.
-Blizzard Greninja.
-Forretress using Toxic on M-Absol. So what does it use on the next turn? Explosion, which crits and KOs Absol.
-Normal Gem Weavile using Fake Out on Talonflame... which activates Flame Body.
-Gengar opting to use Dazzling Gleam on Chandelure. Instead of, you know, Shadow Ball.
-Twister Togekiss. Because Air Slash for flinching and Dazzling Gleam for Dragons are too mainstream.
-Quick Claw Machamp. It activated four times in a row, two of which were while it was asleep.
-Earth Power Landorus-T? Pretty sure Incarnate does that better.
-Ferroseed.
-Another non-mega Charizard, this one with Thunder Punch.
-Iron Defense Lucario. Which it set up on Tentacruel.
-Destiny Bond Smeargle forgetting about Sleep Clause, but only once.
-Ninjask. Which passed a single speed boost to a frozen Deoxys-D.
-Torterra.
-I think there are better moves to use on Aegislash than X-Scissor. Especially coming from Drapion.
-Venusaur trying to Leech Seed Breloom. It also had Solarbeam with no sun or Power Herb.
-Oh wait, it did have sun. Provided by Solar Power Charizard. Which later changed into Y-zard.
-Torrent Greninja using Surf and HYDRO CANNON in said sun.
-Air Balloon Quagsire with Water Pulse and Ice Beam.
-Aerial Ace+Acrobatics item-holding Talonflame.
-Thunder+Charge Beam+Thunderbolt Zapdos.
-Facade Haxorus.
-Mixed Flygon. Also, Flygon in OU.

EvilKefka:learn to play normally instead of doing coward

That's why I love Stall

EDIT: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-137594087

Emboar in OU
Ninjask. In the same team, Scolipede
Simipour in OU ever.
Cloyster sweep
Focus Sash Excadrill, that worked and stopped the sweep
Said Exca using Iron Head against a Huntail, twice
+2 Spe Huntail got outspeed by Exca
Smashpassing to non-toxic orb Gliscor, that had Ice Fang, Fire Fang and Cross Poison. It missed Ice fang then procedded to Cross Poison Excadrill

that still does not explain the charizard that never m-evolved and had outrage AND flame thrower not to mention the scizor.

I'm all for being a Devil's Advocate and shit but trying to defend certain move choices is really pushing it.
Pushing what? I was just giving reasoning as to why somebody might use those moves, I never said they were the best choice or trying to defend them, obviously Knock Off will always be better than Night Slash, but there are situations (however minimal and rare they may be) where the moves might be better. Not to mention chances are they aren't using the moves for those reasons.

Random Shit: Bright Powder, Ninjas, and a Massive Wall of Text Edition
I used a Hide tag tho!

-Heatran using Will-o-Wisp on X-zard.
>Will-O-Wisp Heatran
>Heatran in against X-Zard when most run EQ

-Heracross (pre-mega) somehow outspeeding an Ambipom.
Could of been Iron Ball Ambipom...
Or Choice Scarf Heracross Oh yeah... Pre mega.

-Tangela.
But he's op in Little Cup
Also, is it making you jealous Mr Tangrowth? :^)

-Hitmonchan.
Mike Tyson
-Rhydon.
Eviolite makes it bulky AF
But AV Rhyperioir could be better

-Armaldo.
Errrr
-Round Breloom.
Breloom isn't round
-Non-mega Charizard.
Beating a dead Ponyta
-Water Pledge Greninja.
I PLEDGE TO HAVE A SHIT WATER MOVE
-His opponent being horrendously weak to said Greninja: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-137555991
-Flame Body Talonflame using Flare Blitz on an obvious King's Shield.
Remember, 2% if Talonflame run Fame Body NewMeta
Also, lol fail

-Thunderbolt Galvantula.
WHAT IS COMPOUNDEYES
-Dragonite daring to use Outrage when his opponent had Sylveon in reserve.
There's being brave... And there's using Outrage with a Fairy type in reserve
-Starly (was probably FEAR, but it wasn't sent out).
All Starly should be feared
-Heatran using Earth Power on Talonflame. Overpredict much?
Maybe
Or maybe he mixed it up for Ancientpower?

-Dusknoir. With both Shadow Sneak and Night Shade.
If Dusclops can do it, SO CAN I
-M-Blastoise using Dark Pulse on Mawile.
Errrr
-Blizzard Greninja.
What is accuracy
-Forretress using Toxic on M-Absol. So what does it use on the next turn? Explosion, which crits and KOs Absol.
Smart move. I run Explosion on my own Forretress never use it like
Also lol Magic Bounce

-Normal Gem Weavile using Fake Out on Talonflame... which activates Flame Body.
Ambipom says hi
-Gengar opting to use Dazzling Gleam on Chandelure. Instead of, you know, Shadow Ball.
>Not using STAB
>Using a FAIRY move on a FIRE type.

-Twister Togekiss. Because Air Slash for flinching and Dazzling Gleam for Dragons are too mainstream.
3OP5ME
-Quick Claw Machamp. It activated four times in a row, two of which were while it was asleep.
GOTTA GO FAST
-Earth Power Landorus-T? Pretty sure Incarnate does that better.
Same here
-Ferroseed.
But Eviolite should make it MORE bulky
-Another non-mega Charizard, this one with Thunder Punch.
At least it has coverage
-Iron Defense Lucario. Which it set up on Tentacruel.
HAHA FUCK YOU RAPID SPIN
-Destiny Bond Smeargle forgetting about Sleep Clause, but only once.
only once is forgivable
-Ninjask. Which passed a single speed boost to a Frozen Deoxys-D.
LET IT GO
-Torterra.
Best Grass/Ground type 2014
-I think there are better moves to use on Aegislash than X-Scissor. Especially coming from Drapion.
IKR? LIKE MOTHERFUCKING CROSS POISON
-Venusaur trying to Leech Seed Breloom. It also had Solarbeam with no sun or Power Herb.
IMMA CHARGIN MAH-
Ded

-Oh wait, it did have sun. Provided by Solar Power Charizard. Which later changed into Y-zard.
Well...
-Torrent Greninja using Surf and HYDRO CANNON in said sun.
I've set out a guide on how to Greninja
1. Use Torrent
2. Use only STAB because the others aren't worth bothering with
3. HYDRO CANNON IS THE BEST MOVE EVER
3.5. USE SHIT IN THE SUN BECAUSE IT'S MORE BADASS
4. ???
5. PROFIT
6(9). GET BITCHES

-Air Balloon Quagsire with Water Pulse and Ice Beam.
But Quag would be so much happier with a Balloon!
-Aerial Ace+Acrobatics item-holding Talonflame.
WHY ISN'T ACROBATICS DOING SHIT
-Thunder+Charge Beam+Thunderbolt Zapdos.
Using STAB. Like in step 2
-Facade Haxorus.
Obvoiusly waiting for a burn
-Mixed Flygon. Also, Flygon in OU.
Idk
comments in bold
As per usual
And shit
(Idk why but this might become a daily thing)

24th Round of silly replays: Bad Omen Edition

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-137592729
Team A:
  • Dark Pulse Tyranitar.
  • Roserade using Toxic on Mega Mawile (it was a misclick, though).
  • Mega Mawile isn't silly, but it lost over 76% of its HP on a Fire Fang from an Intimidated opposing Mega Mawile (73% max from a -1 252+ Mega Mawile to a 0/0 Mega Mawile). Please, don't tell me this is a Lonely Mega Mawile...
  • Scizor Defogging in front of a Torkoal, when nothing on its team is weak to SR.
  • Mismagius.
  • And more generally throwing off special moves at Cradily during a sandstorm.
Team B:
  • Cradily.
  • Torkoal.
  • Feraligatr (not sent out).

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-137607080
Team A: One Pokémon is missing... Also too many candidates for Mega Evolution...
  • Thunderbolt + Electro Ball Mega Ampharos, apparently without Dragon Pulse for Flygon.
  • Non-Mega Charizard.
  • Aqua Tail non-Mega Blastoise without Leftovers.
  • Garchomp moving after Dragonite. Unless it was going to use Dragon Tail...
  • Surf + Hydro Pump Gyarados. Nice 60 base SpA, here.
Team B:
  • Facade + Dragon Pulse Toxic Orb Flygon. Where's Outrage? Also, Flygon in OU.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-137609845
Team A:
  • Level 100 Metal Burst Aron incorrectly EV'd (should've been max HP and min defenses for maximum counter damage). Saying that because Hippowdon shouldn't have survived its Metal Burst (it uses EQ, Aron loses 303 health, then it Metal Bursts for 454 damage and Hippo has 420 HP max).
  • Energy Ball Latias.
  • Blissey losing over 70% HP to an Earthquake from Armaldo (no Band, no Swords Dance). Yep, this guy forgot to put EVs on his Pokémon. But he didn't forget to put a SALAC BERRY on Blissey!
  • Mega Gardevoir using Focus Miss Blast instead of Hyper Voice to finish off (30% HP left) said Armaldo. And, as you expected, it missed, allowing Armaldo to KO Gardy.
  • Lopunny, who wasn't able to remove more than 27% to said Armaldo in two hits and fainted as well.
  • Well, all Pokémon in this team, apart from Aron, can learn Healing Wish. It looks like this gimmicky team was built around it.
Team B: Sand team.
  • Armaldo.
  • Cradily (again?!?).

The opposing Cacturne used Leech Seed!
Sylveon was seeded!

Sylveon used Hyper Voice!
The opposing Cacturne avoided the attack!

How the fuck did I miss that Hyper Voice? I know Cacturne can have Sand Veil but he had Water Absorb and it wasn't on Sandstorm? Also Speed invested Cacturne in OU
When it says it avoided the attack, isn't it evasion?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-137682130

This match is not staged.

MiguelDC98:
uses a Metagross in OU for Duel Screens AND Chestorest

Gallade boy 44:
uses a Claydol in OU with a bad moveset
uses a Jolteon with in OU with a bad moveset
uses a Walrein in OU with a bad moveset
uses a Zangoose in OU with a bad moveset
uses a Dodrio in OU with a bad moveset

Ok, I don't have a problem with seeing Pokemon in OU from lower tiers, just when they don't stand out in their respective tiers and have gen 3 movesets!

-clefable is CMing its way to immortality. you have all your pokemon, including a mawile (potentially mega, even!). what do you send out to try and stop this? how about espeon?
-honedge. not doublade. honedge.
-wartortle
-trying to put a poisoned clefable to sleep
-paralyzing a chansey the turn after using yawn on it, before it could fall asleep
-fly (non-mega) charizard
-which was enough to cause the opponent (who had brought an RU mono-grass team to OU) to forfeit

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-137705225
this is only funny because of the name of the person who gets stalled to death by a snorlax

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-137695033
going 14 turns is apparently not enough for this guy
