Simple Question, Simple Answer Thread Advance

Based on your starter, the ablility to trade, etc.?

Charizard and Butterfree

Blastoise and Raichu

Venusaur and Pidgeot

Those pairs have worked for me in game.

Can someone help me in Emerald?

Call me cheap, whatever you want, but I'd like AR codes to get BattlePoints. I'd like to waste my time training my Pokemon instead of just getting a few points here and there for 3 Punches and then have to train.

So, can someone help me find AR codes for BattlePoints?

Thanks

I was wondering what a good Pokemon is to use the attack Secret Power on? I know it depends on what Weather is going on? And where you are in the game? But what still, let's say battling ONLINE, what's a good Pokemomn Maybe Meganium? or Shiftry?

the effects of secret power are determined by the terrain that you are battling in. online, secret power shouldn't be used at all.

Secret Power has a extremely sexy 30% Sleep rate in one of the terrains, iirc it's long grass, and could be used by something like Dunsparce like Everstone mentioned or even a novelty Jirachi.

Unless you're fighting on one of the Stadium clones. I believe they allow you to set terrain, in which case Tall Grass gives sleep.

Is there a trick to Emerald breeding? I always here things about the RNG and chain breeding... Is it just the same stuff as DP?

Are these IVs for my Legends good?

Suicune @ Hidden Power [Rock]
Pressure - Quirky Nature(Crap nature)
HP: 28, 29
Att: 18, 19
Def: 20, 21, 22
Sp.A: 25, 27
Sp.D: 24
Speed: 16

Entei @ Hidden Power [Fighting]
Pressure - Sassy Nature (Any good?)
HP: 25, 26, 27
Att: 25, 26, 27
Def: 28, 29
Sp.A: 8
Sp.D: 28
Speed: 20, 22

Raikou @ Hidden Power [Electric]
Pressure - Modest Nature
HP: 18, 19
Att: 15, 16, 17
Def: 28, 29
Sp.A: 5, 6, 7
Sp.D: 3
Speed: 0, 1, 2

I think I asked before, but I can't find the thread or in the post in this thread, but I doubt I asked yet.

Raikou's Speed, Sp. Atk, and even it's Sp. Def are some of its greatest assets, yet the IVs for them are horrible.

I have a Ludicolo in NetBattle that I want to put into the real thing. I am gon breed for it, but I want to know if it's good. Here's how it is:

Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Swift Swim - Nature (Sp.Def / Speed)
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Sp.Def
~Leech Seed
~Ice Beam
~Focus Punch
~Substitute

I had quite a bit of success with this, especially with Umbreon on the same team passing some Att/Def boosts with Curse/Pass. After those jacksasses that Taunt and pHaze are down, this guy pretty much shines. It's pretty fun to use against Blissey when it tries to Toxic / TWave it. Sub/Seed/Punch makes Blisseys mad. Same with Snorlaxes, but those take a lot more to take out, especially if they keep Resting. CursePass helps with that though.

um, that set has been out for a while, and you haven't exactly maximized its usefulness. Instead of worrying about HP/Defenses, you're going to want to invest in both attack stats (in addition). A minimum attack Focus Punch is hardly going to anything. Same with an unboosted Ice Beam against anyone who resists the punch. Celebi easily does whatever it wants with you and any phazer in existence wouldn't let Umbreon pass around curses freely.

I am using school access internet so gaming sites are blocked, but how do I get Encore onto Azumarill? I want to anger my friends with an Encore/Perish Song/Arena Trap team.

Depending on what's most convenient, Togetic (note: not Togepi, as he can't breed), Clefairy, Plusle, Minun, or Spheal all learn Encore and are compatible with Marrill and family. I do not advise angering your friends unless you're bigger than they are or can run faster than them.

In the Blissey analysis, it recommends 48 Special Attack EVs on the first two sets. I assume this is to hit a particular SpAtk value, since the HP EVs fall just shy (2 points) of getting a multiple of 16 for an extra point of Leftovers recovery, so it doesn't make sense if that SpAtk isn't a magic number of some kind. My question is, what does that number achieve? Or is it just a miscalculation of some kind?

I have a breeding question. I am making an Onix with 31 IVs in Att / Def / Sp.Def Impish Nature.

Do the stats pass down from both parents equally, or does it go by the male or female's stats more?

IV passing down is not dependent on parent gender in 3rd Gen. IVs have equal odds of being passed down if in R/S/FR/LG, but then the Everstone trick of Emerald doesn't work.
