They were assuming the eggs you're giving away are already females in good looking balls. If they were just eggs in standard pokeballs, there might not be much interest...

I think people will appreciate the eggs more, nothing's as exciting as eggs hatching. :)

But then again they're free so i just give them as pokemons instead of eggs beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecause i can :P .

edit :neg they are not going to be surprised, i will be giving all the infos if i give it as egg.

I like eggs more because I can hatch them shiny if I feel like it

No Exp. from the point of receiving/catching. No EVs.

So if it's a starter, you deliberately lose the first, mandatory battle. If it's Xerneas/Yveltal you have it KOd by the first Pokémon in the required battle (so it gains no exp.).

In terms of ESV and TSV...

Is there a guide somewhere on the site that I've missed explaining how to check your own TSV and the ESV of each individual eggs? And if so, is there a way to check without powersaves and the like?
 
That's no problem.

Could I grab a Swinub-icicle crash, stealth rock, freeze dry with Thick Fat (either gender is fine) and a Sneasel-taunt, icicle crash,fakeout, ice punch (gender and whether it has HA doesn't matter).

Will get the two ready, spitbacks for spitbacks?

Or just after you catch it, if your party is full and goes into your PC, don't take it out.

In addition to what smogon user Elena90 has posted,
Yes, you can now use the KeyBV to check your own TSVs/ ESVs and whatnot. The only downside for this method is that IIRC, it's not for those who own digital copies of the games, and that you need to find people to battle with each time you check a full party's TSV/ESV.

I think so. Maybe keep them in eggs and do a matching TSV giveaway first? That way people can have them hatched shiny, then go FFA. As long as it's an alright pokemon competitively, at least like 3-4 Perfect IVs and a nice ball, I'm sure they'll fly off the shelves :).

Wait...Swinub can have Freeze Dry? What do you breed it with to get it?
