Stuck-in-UK-girl here: most of the GAME stores I've been to don't even use code.

You just stand near the store/in the store and collect the pokemon through the Ninetendo zone WiFi.

On the first day of the GAME Zards event I was the only person in the store. :)

I'm currently in Spain, and someone here said that since the GAME stores where I am (far away from the city) don't have the Wifi zones they use the codes :P But that could be just this town I suppose.

You clearly have better luck than I then!

Some events are still region locked, there was a Charizard distributed over Nintendo Zone (and spoofed Nintendo Zone) that was locked to EU region games, and I believe the Serial Codes are the same way.

No, I'm dead. My ghost enjoys Smogon too though.

The ghost would also enjoy getting its hands on a Shiny Imposter Ditto with a perfect HP iv.

(My best catch was a sparkly Imposter, HP Ice blob with a measly 11 in HP...)
