Sorry but no. I'd guess it works about the same way.
I doubt anyone looked into it too much because competitive players don't care about Metronome and people that make TASs only care about what can help them and the best Pokemon to use in other games can't learn Metronome. Speedrunners would care enough to learn how if it wasn't completely unpredictable without inhuman levels of RNG manipulation. There's not many people outside those groups that are interested in dissecting the game to see how random the most random thing is. Maybe try asking ROM hackers? There's some pretty impressive Pokemon hacks, so those guys have to know tons about how the games work. Then again, most of the impressive hacks are Gen 3, so...

Regardless, I more or less have what you're looking for. I have DB Skorupi and NB Tirtouga, and if you want it, Heal Ball Vullaby (though it's not HA). I'll be available for a little while longer, otherwise I can give you them latter today. I only offer clones of my breedables atm, if that's okay with you. MSG me if you want them/when you're ready.
Haven't played in a while and been looking to get back into collecting a bit. Looks like rng in gen 8 is just for raid dens and tsv hatching no longer works the way it used to. Is the only way to breed shinys just by breeding hatching a bunch? Maybe use like masuda method to improve chances? Or is there a new gen 8 mechanic for this? Thanks in advance!
Masuda + shiny charm are your only options for breeding in G8.

LF: Pokémon events legit and stakataka brave nature 0ivs speed in gen7.
Let's say I used PKHeX to fill the Pokedex. I then go and talk to the NPC that gives the shiny charm to obtain it instead of hacking it in directly. Am I allowed to trade shinies I've caught on the save I've altered? I only did this because 1. I'm impatient and 2. These are older games.

Defense Curl/Charge/Rest/Recycle Leppa Berry Alolan Riachu is a terrible idea and I know it. I'd be better off being forced to "settle" for Magnezone, which can't boost its SpD.
