Hey everybody, I have a quick question. Sorry about starting a new thread about it, didn't realize we had this thread. Anyway, I prefer breeding and raising and EV training my pokemon on my own instead of using pokesave/pokegen. However, this means I'm limited and can't really use things such as Jirachi or Celebi. This also means, at times, my IVs will be a little lacking. My question is, does this put me at a big disadvantage?
Well, sometimes it could depend, as you could have 20 IVs instead of 31 in Speed which could make you slower than Pokemon that you should be able to outspeed and KO, possibly costing you the match. A good way to make sure you have what you want (as far as EVs, IVs, and if it's shiny goes) in a Pokemon is RNGing.

How do you get badges on smogon and how do you know if you will get one? Just generally curious (I actually had a dream about getting CC.... lame imo lol).

Here is a page detailing how to get badges on Smogon. :)

Sorry if this was asked before but i always wonder what this meant, namely
1. Life orb number and
2. Lefties number

Life Orb deals 1.3 times the normal damage of an attack and the user recieves 10% HP damage. Check this for more detail.

Leftovers heals 1/16, this explains more such as best HP stats for recovery.

I hope that answers what you need.

1. Life orb number and
2. Lefties number

1. Life Orb number is an HP that is not divisible by 10, therefore you can use Life Orb 11 times before dying. If your HP is divisible by 10, you can only use Life Orb 10 times

2. Lefties number is an HP that is divisible by 16. Because leftovers recovers 1/16 of the total amount of HP each turn, a lefties number will let you heal the most HP possible from leftovers each turn.

On a tab bit to leftovers numbers, you want to avoid them if you can, yes you gain more health with leftovers, but you also take more damage from weather, spikes, and stealth rock. In fact Jellicent naturally has a leftovers number with max HP and chooses to avoid it with 248 HP instead for just these reasons.

Um hey guys, I was trying to make a (kind of bulky) offensive rain team, but upon making a threatlist I found out that I don't have a check to Scizor and Ferrothorn. Which is pretty big. Luckily I have one team slot left, but I'm having trouble picking that last Pokemon. I was thinking Zapdos, but I don't have any room to fit in Rapid Spin support, and Heat Wave does only 50% or so to Ferrothorn, allowing it to set up at least 2 layers of Spikes. Are there any alternatives that can handle those two Pokemon (Ferrothorn + Scizor), or if that's not possible, a possible team mate that can check two other Pokemon (Jirachi + Scizor) in rain?

Tentacruel is a decent check to both and fits nicely on a rain team. He resists both of Scizor's STABs and can deal good damage with Scald and possibly burn it which really cripples the bug. Tentacruel can also burn Ferrothorn so Power Whip doesn't do much and spin away any entry hazards he tries to set up as well as get rid of Leech Seed.

Okay, thanks! But there's something I don't quite understand... How will Tentacruel get rid of Ferrothorn? How will Ferrothorn die?

You scald it and wait for burns, then, if he seeded you, use rapid spin and wait until he dies...power whip does nothing once ferro is burned.

Is it possible for Spore from a Focus Sash Breloom to miss a Sitrus Berry Sigilyph twice? (with no evasion or accuracy changes)

Because Nintendo hasn't released it...? Right? Unless they have; which case link proof and the mods can discuss it.

The actual thread hasn't been posted yet but there'll be a post in the identification thread to let you know when it's up though, so I probably wouldn't worry about it too much.

Zapdos DW isn't released too... Why?!

But, when the results of suspect #9 will be post? I can't wait to know if Keldeo is going to Uber, or not, for my actually team, and the next suspect for ban drizzle and drought :]
