In the current meta what's the best way to run Zard X? Adamant, jolly or bulky wisper and what's the most optimal EV spread for it?

I think you just use what you used in ORAS and it's fine, always went with standard Jolly with DD/blitz/claw/roost or eq. I don't know about Bulky Wisp but DD is obviously the most viable set and wisp took a hit with nerf burn in SM and that thing doesn't even affect Fini but it still cripples Lando and it's fine on fwg balance i guess, especially now that Talonflame sucks and that one gave it competition in ORAS.

What would happen in an endless battle where both players are constantly switching out?

I know that there is the endless battle clause, but this only bans movesets with Leppa Berry, Regenerate, Heal Pulse etc., and not switching out.

Yesterday a battle ended with PP stalling and I thought about consistently switching out to save PP. I had a burned Regenerator Toxapex, poisoned Porygon 2 and a Tapu Bulu, the opponent had a burned Regenerator Toxapex too, a Mega Scizor w/o SD and a poisoned nearly dead SD Mimikyu.
The only entry hazards set were Stealth Rocks on my side, my own hazards got defogged away by Mega Scizor.
With permanently switching between Toxapex and Tapu Bulu I could stall endlessly due to healing the Stealth Rock/Burn damage with Regenerator/Grassy Terrain and Leftovers, while the opponent could switch between Mega Scizor and Toxapex. Leaving in Mega Scizor to score a supereffective hit with Bullet Punch on Bulu was not possible because I may burn Scizor with Scald instead of switching out, causing an easy win for me.
Also, using a move instead of switching out wastes PP which are very important in stalling situations.

Luckily the opponent forfeited before it could came to endless switching.

What would be the result of an endless switching battle? A draw?
And what would happen on Showdown, since there's no draw option?

I've seen a replay with a similar situation like this. It did feature a Leppa berry however.
Turn 67: Leppa Berry eaten.
Turn 100: start of endless battle clause
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ubers-510766967

Yesterday I've had a metronome battle where my Manaphy got in an endless loop when it was frozen.
Turn 35: Manaphy got frozen
Turn 47: Endless loop trigger

My best bet is that the person who started switching out, thus starting the 'endless battle' be the one who will lose.

endless switching is perfectly viable. if neither side wants to attack then it is their prerogative to do so. if you want the battle to end, just stop switching.

Since Gamefreak has already confirmed that we are getting ALL old megas back, will PS still release them in patches or do we play full mega OU from the start? Releasing them bit by bit might fuck up the bans, not to mention the effect it would have on the lower tiers.

I noticed that Mega-evolutions and their standard, non-mega forms are being tiered separately this gen. For example, even though Mega-Metagross is currently OU and cannot be used in lower tiers, standard/vanilla Metagross is available in RU Alpha and UU Beta. When I played XY and early ORAS, the system was different -> mega-evolutions and their non-mega forms were tiered together, so that if a mega-evolution was OU by usage than its non-mega form could not be used in lower tiers.

I am very happy for this change, as it is awesome to use certain non-megas in lower tiers.

I am just curious why this change happened, though. Is it because the tier leaders changed their opinion about this issue? Or maybe this change is simply due to technical issues?

That change actually took place a little over halfway through ORAS, iirc. I remember using mold breaker stealth rock pinsir in NU to mess with xatu.

The tier leaders changed their opinion on the issue halfway through ORAS as DragonAscent said, yeah. It was put down to a vote but essentially it was figured that the Mega and the base form at the end of the day count as two separate Pokémon so while we didn't have a situation like this before, it'd be silly to consider Base Form + Mega Stone in the same vein as a Pokémon holding a normal item.

Since Beedrillite and Mawilite has been announced to be released later in Feb, I was wondering when these Mega Stones will be available for simulator play.

While perhaps a niche, gimmicky option, Z-Mirror Move has me curious on something.

Does the +2 Attack from Z-Mirror Move apply before or after the damage calculation for the then copied Z-Move? for example, if I use Z-Mirror Move to steal Garchomp's Dragon Claw, does it effectively use +0 or +2 Devastating Drake for the move?

Been wanting to mess around with Z-Mirror Move Staraptor for gimmicky shits and giggles on a ladder alt.

When using Z-Mirror Move, you get +2 in Attack, then you use the Z-version of the move that's been used last. So, in your case, you'd be using a +2 Devastating Drake.

I guess Tapu Koko could also use this strategy with Wild Charge / Brave Bird / U-turn / Mirror Move @ Flynium Z, but unfortunately, it might end up just as gimmicky.

Generally speaking, what is the best Hidden Power for Nihilego? It seems to be either HP Fire or Ice. Is it a matter of personal preference? I guess in other words, which provides it with the most utility?

Also, is there a simple place here that tells what the OU banlist is/what pokémon are banned from OU? I always seem to have trouble finding it.

Am I missing it, or is there not a Manaphy Thread?

I like the fact that it can actually make use of a Z-Crystal, and in my opinion it is the correct way to use a Z-Crystal where it can choose to set up on a Status move, but also has a powerful wallbreaking move if called for.

I'd like to find more about what works with it and I normally just go to the thread since there isn't an Analysis up for it yet.

Edit: While Pelipper and Mantine threw me off a bit, I realized that the board is only for new additions for SM (which I suppose includes Alolan Formes and BST changes). I found what I needed in C&C.

HP Fire is usually only for Ferrothorn and Scizor. So if they're threats to your team, then use HP Fire. HP Ice rounds out Nihilego's coverage, so you can try that instead. Both aren't bad, just use what your team wants more.

As for OU's banlist, if the mon is in the Ubers tier, its banned from OU.

As well as the ubers, the pokemon in "limbo" are banned as they are currently unavailable (for the full list see http://www.smogon.com/dex/sm/formats/limbo/). This is almost exclusively megas with currently unreleased mega-stones (as well as Marshadow and Florette-Eternal, and Mega-Rayquaza who is banned from ubers).

When I like a person's post, I am taken to a screen where it says "Are you sure you want to like this post?" Sometimes it says the opposite, .i.e "Are you sure you want to unlike this post?" even when I never liked it in the first place.

Is there a way to prevent this pop-up from happening? It would be nice to like people's post without having to take the extra time for a new page to load.

how come clefable is no longer s-rank??
has something changed to lower it's effectiveness

sun and moon changed the game and to put it simply wasn't kind to the oras queen. The stuff that clef checked either fell out favor, isn't available (certain Mega's) or are nolonger annoyed by T-wave thanks to the nerf (gangar, metagross). In addition greninga came off the list and gen 7 gave us 2 effective stops to clef. Toxapex and tapu fini. All this while balance got weakened and new Mons like magerna challenged for her blanket check role. Pretty much everything in gen 7 conspired against clefable.

All said Clefable is still a solid B+ Mon. still blanket checks alot, has 2 great abilities, reliable recovery, stealth rock and is arguably the best calm minder in the tier. Makes a great dedicated win con on balance (albeit balance struggles now), unaware user on stall and it's stealth rock set is still Splash able.

Don't be surprised if clef makes a comeback in the future but right now there's alot to contend with. Hope this answers the question

As well as this (which is very true), the addition of lots of new fairy types (especially the Tapus, but also Magearna; Mimikyu is hardly notable) meant that lots of teams in SM carry fairy type coverage moves - sludge wave/bomb, poison jab, gunk shot, flash canon, iron head, etc. - which means that most teams will have a counter for Clefable, even if they don't include that counter explicitly for Clefable.

Due to the bigger presence of stronger Fairies this gen (such as the Tapus), and the fact that a lot of teams almost have to run Steel types now, Clefable struggles a bit to maintain its S Rank that it once had. It's not bad, just not the great threat it once was back in Gen 6's meta.
