Simple Question: Why are multiples of the same item legal? (i.e. multiple pokemon with Lefties) I play on cart mostly and its not legal there so I assumed the same here until I ran into a team where 3 mons had lefties which was super irritating and artificially sustaining.

There is no reason to ban it really; if anything, having the ability to repeat items allows for more options in building. I do not see why item clause would be in effect, especially since it has never been in play in Smogon metagames.

Thanks for such a detailed reply! I've been using dual screens grimmsnarl on my team as well and I agree it's an incredible set, and I honestly lead with it more than Ribombee at this point because Cinderace and Hatterene are everywhere and make it such a pain to get webs up.

I like the sound of darm (presumably band?) and clef together, sounds truly obnoxious to deal with. Some others I've been thinking about are hatterene + drill and band dracovish + LO rotom-mow.

Darmanitan can run Band, and it has ridiculous power, but I believe the most common set is Scarf. Though it sounds like you're working with a sticky web team, in which case Band is probably preferable. With webs you may even want to consider Zen Mode, which functions as nearly a completely different mon with a Belly Drum set. I think Gorilla Tactics is better, but it's something going worth considering nonetheless. Scarf/Band Farm are great for just pumping the enemy full of damage with U-turn and stupid powerful Icicle Crashes.

what are some good partners for dugtrio?

Anything that really benefits from Dugtrio's ability to trap and remove Pokemon that are weak to Ground. With the right circumstances it can get rid of Toxapex/Aegislash/Cinderace/Excadrill etc and in general most frail things. So Pokemon like G-Darm (of course) like it quite a bit. Corviknight appreciates its ability to scare fire/electric types too. Admittedly I haven't been super impressed with Dugtrio since it lacks a lot of power after having lost Z-Ground, but if you find yourself struggling against a certain Poison/Electric/Fire/Steel/Rock then you can tailor Dugtrio to your specific needs.

Sry if this has been asked and answered previously, but are there any plans for a 'Team Samples' or anything along those lines? I'm finding it hard with team building. Or is OU Bazaar enough as of now?
Thanks in advance!

With the change of gen, what are the biggest threats for a sand team in current metagame?
And outside of Tyrani-Drill core, other mons that can work there?

Which Hatterene is better in a team with Galarian Darmanitan?

I assume you're referring to the two main Hatterene sets, bulky CM or OTR. Bulky CM is the only one worth using alongside Galarian Darmanitan imo since Trick Room doesn't do Darm any favors. Bulky CM also checks FerroPex and hazard setters in general, which is essential for Darm to continuously pivot during the game without taking passive damage.

corviknight is definitely a problem for sand thanks to its great matchup against excadrill, same goes for all three rotom formes. something to pressure them is definitely wanted. as for teammates i feel like something that can cover the core of tyranitar and drill on a more defensive note is definitely important. i could see jellicent working pretty well as a water immunity too for the troublesome dracovish. another cool teammate is dragapult providing a second form of speed to the team i think that could work out nicely. hope i helped!

Getting swept by opposing sand teams.
Ironically, sand teams pose the most danger to sand teams as Drill can tear through your team under sand if it wins speed tie or you're running Adamant(don't) and Ditto can pose as a Drill and tear holes in your team.

Something to be said on this, Hatterene need not run Bulky CM just because the team isn't CM, it's quite self-sufficient and even if everything else is fast it'll often last long enough for a whole cycle of TR.
Plus, it's a nightmare for teams that don't run Corviknight(and still is if you're running Utility).

Not sure if this belongs here or in a mechanics thread, but concerning psychic terrain: does psychic terrain prevent all moves with increased priority, or only damaging moves? For example, I would assume that Grimmsnarl under psychic terrain couldn't successfully use sucker punch, but could it use reflect or a similar move to full effect?

It prevents priority moves that target a grounded opponent. Grimmsnarl could use Prankster Reflect because it doesn’t target the opponent, but it couldn’t use Prankster Taunt against a grounded opponent.

Corviknight puts a complete halt to Excadrill's shenanigans. A Ditto countersweep or an opposing Sand Rush Excadrill is also very troublesome for Sand Teams, this makes Air Balloon all the more alluring over the sheer carnage that LO provides. Rotom, Dugtrio, and Conkeldurr also are big red flags if you see them in Team Preview.

I think a Water Absorber + Corviknight defensive core compliments the traditional sand duo very well. Running Seismitoad and Defog Corvi allows you to focus your Ttar and Excadrill on being as damaging as possible due to their movesets not being burdened by hazard management. Band TTar and 3 Attack + SD Exca is what gives me the most mileage.

I’m not sure if this is the best thread to ask in, but does anyone have any advice on an EV spread for a Modest special wall Goodra? I’m looking at the VGC 17 analysis but am not sure how it would stand up in today’s meta for OU singles. Thank you!

Mandibuzz atm is as close as you will get

Yup, just watch out for Head Smash variants (which can be scouted out with SpDef Hippo, which is a good partner for Mandibuzz anyways and another decent check to Aegislash). Will Aegislash get Toxic back with Pokemon Home, or is it gone for good? If the latter, then Mandibuzz is probably gonna be the best bet.

SpDef Centiskorch also does pretty well against non-Head Smash variants.
