As I've recently started building teams to use, I would like to present you the team I had the most success with in ladder and tournament games.https://pokepast.es/f9f8487dc2729ee6 - This is the paste if you don't want to read the rest of the post.This idea originally came to me when I heard my friends talking about how good cm clef can be, so I thought as I don't use cm clef or clef very often i will give it a shot at building.

Skarmory @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy

I started the idea with these 2, as i wanted hazard support to help clefable break down other teams checks to clef such as heatran, kartana and heart swap magearna,spikes also act nicely to help reduce the longevity of threats to this team, such as taunt lele, mega ttar, 3 attacks ZardX after mega. 44 speed on clefable is to outspeed heart swap magearnasand also outspeed pokemon at 331 speed or less that get paralysed by thunder on the off chance it does. Skarmory fits quite nicely here to help deal with SD excadrill on sand, Mgyara with counter/whirlwind, SD bulu, Msciz and such.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb

Careful Nature

Gliscor is the next addition to the team, i didnt have a stealth rocker and I was weak to heatran, so it felt like a no-brainer. I prefer Careful and really bulky gliscors to eat hits from hpice landos, uninvested icebeam from magearna and other neutral attacks from strong special attackers such as mega alakazam. I also noticed the team lacked knock off which is crucial vs other fat structures and acts as a status absorber quite nicely. Gliscor helps clefable break through.

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 152 SpA / 12 Spe
Bold Nature

• Moonlight,

Next up is cresselia, at the moment I LOVE this mon, the fact it can sit on most things and just outright win the game is nuts. Cresselia plays a key role in checking lopunny,medicham whilst also making the psyspam matchup better by giving a bulky psychic resist.

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Latias is on the team to not just get rolled over by manaphy, stall rain turns against swampert under rain and dish out draco meteors to threaten kyurem black and SD ZardX. This Latias has surf to threaten ttars on switch in and chip them down to not lose to them later in the game.

Toxapex @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 92 Def / 164 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

• Toxic Spikes,
• Scald,
• Toxic/Haze,
• Recover,

Lastly, Toxapex, pressure bulky teams and defogless offenses such like XTRA and certain psyspams etc. Pex also serves as a swap-in to greninja to scout the set.This team without haze toxapex struggles against volcarona but you can opt for toxic pex to put defoggers on a timer and pressure opposing cm cress'.

Teambuilding Process

The team focuses on Cresselia both offensively and defensively.
Future Sight is a combo that doesn't get many switch-ins, along with damage from a Mega Heracross Fighting attack. They often switch to a Psychic-type, but with a Bug Stab (Pin Missile), it's not a great switch-in.

Mega Sableye as a lead could be a problem for the team, which is why Heracross is carrying Guts. If the opponent is carrying Clefable Unaware, sticking with Heracross against Clefable isn't a bad idea if you've already dealt significant damage, as Clefable will tend to use Wish.

It's also pretty easy to heal with wish vs a hard stall.

I realized that Heart Swap on Magearna isn't really necessary, since for typical Calm Mind spam sets (usually Psychic-types), you can pivot into Magearna, volt switch to Heracross.

Against Mega Latias, it's still straightforward, except you have to go first with Cresselia's Thunder Wave. (If it's a rare Substitute > Ice Beam set, you're a total loser.)

Seismitoad is the ultimate volt-immune, providing a switch in to Heatran without Grassium Z and Koko with ease. He can set up Stealth Rocks and makes progress by burning the other team.

Chansey: At first, I wasn't entirely sure about this pick. I thought it would be a bit weak to Toxic Spikes and would have preferred to go with Toxapex, but thinking about it, Chansey is a very good wall here. It serves as a switch in to many things, including Mega Y Charizard, specs Blacephalon, Volcanion, and Base Kyurem. What I like most is being able to use Wish. It gives my team a lot of durability if they take away Seismitoad's item, or if they chip my Heracross, which otherwise wouldn't have the ability to heal itself.

And finally, Tornadus. I needed a Defogger, a Flying-type, and something to break certain things without relying so much on Future Sight + Heracross. Plus, it makes it easier for Heracross to come in with U-Turn and gives me progress with Knock Off. A very good sixth pick.

Sets

Nothing out of the ordinary, I mainly relied on sample sets and edited some if I already covered anything.

Cresselia: I moved the 12 EVs from SPE to Spa. It helped me hit Future Sight harder. The 12 EVs were originally intended to speed up Rotom Wash, but it's useless here and could even be detrimental. The only "useful" one is Moonlight, but that would mean having less power in Future Sight and also not being able to predict the Volt Switch with a Thunder Wave.

Heracross: I removed some of its Speed because it already covered several things that spread was used for. I left it just right so Heracross would be faster than Tyranitar 252 Spe Jolly. The problem is that this spread is almost always Mega, and if it isn't, it's Scarf. So it'll help when you knock off Scarf. With 24 HP, it can withstand a Fire Punch/Stone Edge +1 at 100% HP.


Magearna: Sample set but with heal bell>Heart swap, no need to use Heart swap having response to basically all Calm Minds spammers.


Seismitoad: A direct sample set. The 36 Defense helps against Mega Mawile, the 12 Speed is for Mega Scizor and to annoy with the ability to burn with Scald, and the rest is for Special Defense to take advantage of the Water Move immunity and tank Greninja's Dark Pulse, Koko's Gleams, Fini's Moonblast, and other moves.

252+ Atk: Huge Power Mawile-Mega Play Rough vs. 244 HP / 36 Def: Seismitoad: 336-396 (81.5 - 96.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Threat List

Even though I think it's a super solid team, I haven't tested it much in ladders or higher-level competitions yet. I have some ideas about what could complicate this team. (Mostly related to cores or hazard setters, so with a good level of play, they can be avoided.)

Toxic Spikes Toxapex + Tornadus Therian Trapper: Tornadus-T Z is a fairly weak defogger compared to others.
Choice Band/Steelium Z/Normalium Z Kartana: It's a 50/50 with sacrifice options, but it can involve a lot of mind games.
Hazard users can be a problem for Tornadus Therian (Ferrothorn Gyro Ball/Thunder Wave) (Garchomp Z-Move)
(Landorus-T Z-Move) (Greninja Protean, especially with Toxic Spikes): If you lose Tornadus early in the game, you're done. Ferrothorn isn't that bad since you get free Heracross instead of a Hazard.
Mega Mawile: You can do something with Magearna and Volt Switch to Heracross, but those are also mind games.
Mega Charizard X: This Pokémon is always going to be a pain. We'll usually need to sacrifice something or go hard on Cresselia, use Thunder Wave, and pray it gets paralyzed. The Swords Dance set is more of a pain, and if it's paired with a Heal Bell on the back, it's even worse.

Notes

I haven't checked the team again since I built (SM Circuit 2024) so there are probably some errors, inaccurancies and outdated sets, with some spreads i kinda gave up thinking lmao. Anyways it worked for what i wanted.

Even if i lost with this in smpl i find it funny, it can get some great MUs tbh, the team is based on a spl 2023 webs but with mana over belly drum azumarill. I don't mind which of this 2 gets the sample slot, would be better if both get zinnias

 

[Greninja The G]

Hello, I want to submit my kommo-o/charizard-x dragon spam team which got me to the 1700s.

The first pokemon charizard-x is the teams physical wallbreaker who can break through many defensive mons like skarmory,
clefable, tangrowth, celesteela, mega-scizor, ferrothorn etc. It also acts as a set up sweeper with dragon dance allowing it to gain more power and speed making it easier to break through opponents teams after dismantling their tanks/walls.

The next pokemon on our list is kommo-o who can use its z move clangorous soulblaze which allows kommo-o to gain a +1 in all of kommo-os stats which means kommo-o can become a setup sweeper and a wallbreaker at the same time. We run a mixed set so we can recover hp with drain punch and we can break through chansey and we have flamethrower so we can break through other mons that can give kommo-o a hard time. Finally, we use taunt so we can prevent pokemon like toxapex from using haze to get rid of all my status boosts.

Our third pokemon serperior helps this team by getting rid of the one mon that can ruin weakens my dragon spam strategy and that is tapu fini which weakens dragon moves. Serperior also acts as a wallbreaker and helps the team with speed control by paralyzing all my opponents so charizard and kommo-o can outspeed them.

Our fourth pokemon landorus-therian acts as a defensive tank who can set up rocks and defog in order to prevent stealth rocks from crippling charizard. Landorus-therian also carries smack down so pokemon like celesteela and skarmory cannot wall this team if serperior, kommo-o, or charizard faints.

Our fifth pokemon greninja is this teams form of speed control since it has a choice scarf and it can kill tapu koko, lele, bulu, and fini with gunk shot. It has u-turn so it can pivot into other pokemon that can threaten my opponents. This greninja also runs a mixed set since we need ice beam for landorus-therian.

Finally, our last pokemon magearna is my bulky pivot/tank who can switch into special attackers that threaten the team. It uses moves like volt switch so my team can form a volturn core so we can switch/pivot into other pokemon that way my team doesn't get clapped.
