Lord I am so late for this but here we go

My personal headcanon goes that cubones are motherless kangaskhan babies. Without a mother, they grow differently than Kangaskhans and end up adopting other cubones. This is why I didn't give her a pouch, but I did try to put some kanga elements in there, like the more rounded skull.
