The only difference between the pairs is the stripe thingies. The first pair has orangish ones, and the second pair has Reddish ones.

Which one do you like best (Fireburn)?

Hybrid, he explained above his images, he origanaly made that splice, but his
friend Loco, had askaninjaask to post it so that way he would be d/qed for
stealing in a compitition we were having.

I know, this thread is moving faster than I've seen it go.

Builoom is good for having a crappy computer. I don't need to comment on Buiditto because it's basically a recolor.

I'm working on it. >_< New desktops don't just appear overnight.

I absolutely hate this laptop's mouse pad. It makes spriting overly difficult.

We should be happy about the fast thread, though. It's not as boring in here anymore. =) Not to mention, Mordock and the love-struck Canti are the only regulars who have been around longer than us. Not counting Headpunch. He's sporadic at best with his random posts of wisdom.
 
Man, I think we should have like a spriting contest or something - that would be pretty sweet (although we all know a few users would dominate ;)). Maybe a themed one, like two of opposite types, two of same types, a type change, something like that.

Thoughts?

Headpunch is kind of weird like that. Randomly criticizes a random sprite.

EDIT: Chaos, it's a good idea. Type change springs to mind, though we could have categories.

Serebii (and some other places) hold a Weekly Spriting Contest (WSC). We could have something like that, with a different theme each week.

EDIT2: Now on to the Flygon.

1: His wings have curvier edges. Most electric pokemon are pointy IIRC.
2: Some of the electric thingies seem out of place or look tacked on. IMO his feet weren't the best place to put the things. And the one at the base of his tail looks tacked on. It has to look like it curves with the curve of where it is.
3: I can't see his nostril very well.

Great sprite overall.

Chaos, my friends and I are having a bunch of contests with slpicing, that's
how I started to get into splicing lol, if there was a contest hear, I would
deffinatly enter.
 
Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'd be happy to enter a weekly spriting contest. It would give us aspiring spriters chance to improve as well by challenging ourselves with categories.

Other themes I can come up with are: Mass fusion (5+ Pokemon), Opposite fusions (fusing two Pokemon that are very differently shaped (i.e. the Celebi/Feraligatr requested earlier), Trainer Spriting (fusing Pokemon parts with a trainer, or trainer with trainer), Environment (making Pokemon look like parts of the environment like trees/ground/grass/etc), Town creation, Route editing, etc.

My friends and I have arlready gone by quiet a few theme's, Legends only,
Ou's only, water theme, steel theme, more than 6 pokes in one splice, etc.
so if we start having contest's, we need alot of themes.

Those are some really great category ideas, that should keep it going for a long time. I'm wondering if there should be a thread for this, or if we can do it inside this thread. I.E. have one "host" that makes a post with all the entries, rules, etc in this thread.
 
I don't think we'll have two sections. Since there are a relatively small number of spriters here, a single, larger thread seems like a better idea to me. Or we could have two categories. Like 1 newbie/1 veteran or 2 newbies. Never 2 veteran categories so everyone can enter.

Galloxys is nearly finished. Need to get some arms on him and then maybe tweak his chest, then I'm done.
 
So it seems like we have ideas established for this spriting contest thread. I suggest we get it approved by mods next, and then discuss it from there.
 
Before ANYBODY sends a PM, I'd highly recommend waiting to get some more input on this. So far, it's just been discussed between the three of us.

Before we start this, it'd be a good idea to see if other people are interested in it.

Now to finish Galloxys and then work on a new RMT.
 
Good idea, let's just wait and see what the others have to say about this. Also, I don't PM the mods anyway, I talk to them on IRC xD.

Have fun with Galloxys :P, I'll probably do another sprite later (trying to learn Blender right now).
