Smocon 07 will be taking place in Toronto, ON, Canada from July 25th, 2007 to July 29th, 2007. That is Wednesday to Sunday, if that matters for anyone.

I have enough room for 8 people with my current booked accomodations. Each room has two Double beds, so two people will be camping out on the floor. I don't care if there is rotations or not, but we will need some sleeping bags/air mattresses regardless. It is 69.00 CDN per night per room, which split between four occupants in each room is dirt cheap.

I need to know whether you're coming or not. A lot of people are always like "YEAH DEFINITELY" and then are like "oh" when they actually have to plan their trip. I tried to give enough people time, but it seems like very few people have even looked into it.

Answer the poll via voting, then post what you voted so Fig and I know if we need more accomodations. Thanks.

Just one small note: I can only get two rooms at an employee rate and I would have to be in one of those rooms, and if you think I'm sharing a room HA! So that's essentially one extra room if what skarm booked isn't enough.

I have the money and it's almost certain I'll be able to go during that week. I'd like to go with Vineon but if he doesn't want to (or can't) I'll go by myself.
 
Ack - I voted yes before reading more than the first sentence. I'll be there for at least one day but won't need accomodations because I happen to live in the area. Sillly me.
 
Voting maybe because as of right now, I have no job/money. But this won't be until the end of July so I'm sure I can do this by then, we'll see. Don't want to commit for sure just yet.
 
I'm going to be working my ass this summer, and Toronto is too far.

But hey, if this thing works out, and it happens closer to NY next time, I'd be glad to come next year.
 
I'll come if at all possible, but I cannot verify now.

I normally visit friends up in that area at that time every year and, provided my REU or summer job works out and allows it, I'll be doing it again this year. In any case I don't need a place to stay because I'll be staying in Oshawa, which is about 45 minutes out from Toronto.
 
we'll see. i said last night that i was 80% sure i could come. today i'm feeling a little more int he 70% range. haha. who knows. im done college this spring, so i'd rather be saving money than spending it, but it's a decent possibility that I'll go.
 
I might make a cameo seeing as I live in the area but my parents might not go for it (people from the internet are evil). Either way I don't need accomodations.
 
I didn't bother to vote but if I'm actually active in the community between April and then I'll probably show up but if I am just lurking like I am right now it wouldn't make very much sense!

Historically I have pretty good luck with last minute shit so we'll see how that goes.

voted the second option, I'd REALLY love to come and I plan on it, but something bad may come up like I might have driver's ed one of those days (lol) or my family will plan something else during that week or something stupid like that. I think I'll have a few other oppurtunities to meet up with people this year but this would be great, I plan on it.
 
it'd be stupid if i didn't go, seeing as how i live in the greater toronto area and all. no need for accommodations, hope to see everyone cool there.
