congratz to m dragon rly impressive run, was a pleasure playing you

also wanna shoutout the ppl who have supported me during the play offs making it possible for me to even get here
Conflict if it wasnt for your support i don't think there would have ever been a shot i make it this far. the teams you passed me were absolutely insane making it feel like i already have a slight advantage just loading into the game. to me you are still the best builder in gen 2-4 and just loading your teams in over half of my games has rly made my run
Excal you rly carried me through my rby games with both the teams youve passed me, all of the test games youve played with me and teaching me the tier. rly made me feel like its one of my better picks in this tour.
lax A plague doc ima thx for testing with me and cheering for me rly appreciate it

Last year it was the wcop, and now is the classic, the 2 trophies I barely missed several times in the past and that I have finally been able to win.
Since I "came back" to play more regularly a couple of years ago, I feel like this has been my best year overall, and I think I have been playing very well this classic, ending with the first seed in the regular season and then winning the tournament (the first one to do this).

Some special shoutouts:
Fear What can I say about you, one of the old gens goat, and a serious candidate of the best GSC player ever, one of the most creative and succesful players, especially in GSC and ADV. Thank you for your help and support all these years, you were a huge help when picking and polishing my GSC teams.

Malekith Vas a ganar tú también el classic, te lo merecías el año pasado y si lo intentas lo vas a ganar. Muchas gracias por la ayuda y el apoyo en este classic y durante todos estos años.

crayon pop The DPP mastermind. Part of my big success in DPP this classic has been because you, because I used a lot of the teams you built for Void as a base to build some of the teams I ended up using, and you were also a big help in POs helping me to pick and polish my DPP picks.

Fakes Like Malekith, you will eventually win Classic, you have a lot of skill in the classic gens. Thank you for your help and support after you got eliminated, especially in DPP and BW.

marcoasd I will start by saying that I was very unfair to you back in the day and I regret a lot of things that happened then. You are one of the best RBY players ever and your help before POs started and in finals was big. Thank you for that.

Other s/o to people like SoulWind, BKC, Kenix, Le Don, excal, chuva, Endill, London Beats, z0mog, elodin, conflict and Jester who also helped me at different parts of my run.

I will end my post by saying something about the 2 most criticized gens: RBY and GSC.

GSC: The quality of GSC games in general in this POs have been high, the claims of this gen being "coinflip" or "luck based" are nonsense. GSC is the hardest gen to master, and high level GSC will always have a lot of great games.

RBY: Despite the 2 games where cheese wrap spam with even NFEs was used to try to get a "free win" (ending badly in both cases), RBY games have also been very competitive, with the player that played better winning nearly always.

In fact, both RBY and GSC have been 2 key gens in my run in POs (100% winrate in both), and is no coincidence that players like Troller, Fear or Conflict always end with the best records every SPL in those gens.

Don't worry man! It was part of the journey, and unfortunatley that's pretty much what happens in any environment where young people compete. Water under the bridge, we learned some! And we ultimately get to save the good memories we got to share. In this forum you'll find a large amount of cool people and a good number of great players, but very few leave an indelible mark that will be bigger than the score of the game.
You are one of them.
Coming back and winning something that you couldn't in what seemed to be your peak (but it actually still wasn't) falls under that category.
Invitational III is where you started closing the gap between how you play RBY and your favourite tiers. In a tournament like this, it can help a lot.
I want to think that's what gave you that final push to the goal.

Obviously I agree on RBY and GSC. To put it short they work pretty much like any other tier, or trading card game, or gaming in general. They aren't perfect but nothing is.
