OMGBURRITO here, posting a thread that will revolutionize who you go to for important trades. I frequently see people, "One of the best (insert name here) Pokemon on Smogon!" This is a thread that you can prove that in. If you think you have the best one of a certain pokemon on Smogon, post here, I will update the list regularly and hopefully this will become a frequently viewed thread by many people. Seems like a good idea. I've always heard people say that they've bred the best, but there's never any comparison.

Great idea. Sadly, I don't have the best. Of anything.
 
We already had one of these in the WiFI section. It got closed for a reason iirc.
 
Thanks torso, good to see your support, and don't worry, you will get there to have the best of something or another. Really? Darn, I thought this would be a good thread, I don't want to support spamming or anything, I just want a thread to see who's got the best of the best.
 
It got locked with the permission of the original poster as it didn't really contribute much more than ego boosting and fights...
 
I PM'd Hipmonlee, hopefully he will respond and agree that this thread will definitely help Smogon., How do you format text so my rules will all be spaced out?
 
Been there, done that, yea last thread was a failure, hate to shoot you down so early =/, also its the wrong forum lol.
 
Well, I want to see if this one will work, chances are that it might. Hopefully people can be civilized and accept it if their pokemon isnt as good as someone elses.
 
If someones Pokemon is really that good, they won't have to go around advertising it as the best. People will just know. "Best ____ on Smogon!" titles annoy me >_>
 
Not that I have any, but Loetke bred a perfect, flawless Togepi (though it has Hustle, lol) and Backlot has a very nice, quintuple-flawless Chimchar with a 28 in the one IV that isn't perfect and a proper nature (like Naive or something).

O how true this is. I just wish people didn't let the fact they they have the best _______ inflate there ego to Waillord proportions.
 
It was closed becase it was decided that Smogon didn't want one, as all it did was crush the hopes of beginning breeders, as nobody would take their pokemon when they could go to the 'hall of fame' and find the best one.

Long ago it was decided against it as well, but Chronos didn't no that when he posted it.
 
Why is this on stark ?_?

my opinion on this is that it creates competition to grinding (which is one of the dumbest things ever, it's like having a contest to "who can get the highest number combination with 6 31 sided die except few people realize that apparently) which the wifi board doesnt need at all x)
 
in defence of this idea:
users will want "the best" if it is a fave/key member of their team

while this may be something to aspire to, you're not getting a quint flawless with your x/31/x/x/x/31

trade between near perfect pokes will be made easier
trade between "useable" pokes will still occur (good ivs in important places... omg it takes 7hp more damage from a physical hit... which it shouldn't be taking anyway)
but some want/need the best
some just want to collect the best (a case where "useable"works just fine)

as for discouraging breeders: you can't expect to get the best of anything with your crap,
but if you want to go crazy, these are your odds
or you could just trade for pokes on the same level as yours

imperfect pokes are still traded all the time,
which is why we have more than 10 traders on smogon,
so what if their stock isn't as impressive



i felt it was simply a matter of time before i got infracted...
...goodbye creul world...
...smogon is completely anal about spelling and grammar...
